OLD Time Armenian bakery of 3 generations! Still open albeit Fridays only, 8:30AM-4:00PM. Home of world famous Peda and Lavash. ProTip: Bu 2 so when you tear into your item driving home (Admit it!), you'll have one to show you did your duty. Hungry Joey says, "Check it out!"

Go get you a giant round of cracker bread, as we always called it. As a kid, it was a real treat (still is!). We'd get so excited knowing my mom was bringing some home. I've enjoyed it over 55 years, when I lived in Fresno. I now scour grocery stores for their boxes of smaller lavosh crackers (same great stuff), especially the heart shape. And anytime I'm in Fresno, head on over. I hope you stay baking & making forever, Valley Lavosh!

What a jewel we have in Fresno! I've lived here all my life and have never visited this bakery. I often buy their products at different stores around Fresno. I would love to take a tour of their facilities on a Saturday. I included the dates on a picture I posted. It's one hour and they give you a treat at the end. Everyone is so friendly. As I was leaving three other people were coming in to buy their products. I highly recommend making the trip downtown and stocking up on these wonderful products.

This is a really cool place. We stopped in after finding it quite by accident. Actually, we were surprised that it was open in the middle of the day for some reason but it was! They specialize in breads and water crackers and have been around a long, long time. And at this location! I knew nothing about Armenian goodies. The gal working inside was super sweet and was informative about this history of Lahvosh and some of its history. The walls are adorned with old time photos of the shop and how it has changed over the years. We saw many Hollywood stars signed photos who have likely tried the product or graced their doors. We got samples of the crackers (heart shaped!) and bought some fresh sesame seed buns. Also, we purchased a round bread on the $2 day old table. Still fresh.Have yet to try the bread as we are saving them for a special occasion but we were told they freeze really well - great! So, we froze them as soon as we got home but have all the confidence that they will be yummy.I have to go back as they sell Armenian butter but they were out. I have a weakness for good butter and I want to try. They also sell cold drinks in the cooler. All prices very reasonable.

I come by here whenever I'm going from Northern to Southern California. They have delicious food. Cracker bread is a amazing. I can't remember what the rolls we got were but we couldn't stop eating them. Worth the stop. Friendly service and great prices.

I went in yesterday and Lavosh (cracker bread) is their main product but if you look to your right when you walk in there you will find the Peda bread. 90 years + in the business this is an Armenian icon in Fresno. To explain the Peda Bread, it is not flat bread, pocket bread or cracker bread. It is a loaf that comes in a round or loaf and is light and airy with sesame seeds on top. They make the rounds in sections (great for parties) or no sections. Armenian restaurants grill it with butter and slather in the shish kabab for a tasty sandwich or people us it for their Turkey Day stuffing. if you are not a local and you are heading down the 41, get off at "O" Street and go to the bakery and grab some bread. Remember to bring some butter with you so you can eat it in the car! Make sure you get 2 because one will be gone before you get to your destination.

The Lavosh Cracker bread is legendary. The peda bread is fabulous! If you want true Armenian this is the place. Do not compare it to other bakeries, or other styles of food based upon personal preferences. This is the place for fabulous Armenian baking. Enjoy. I do!

Five stars for their "crackerbread," which I would call "water crackers" (e.g. Carr's). During a tasting at a winery in the Santa Cruz mountains I couldn't help but notice the taste of the heart-shaped crackers. I have never thought much of a water cracker - they served a basic purpose with whatever you are eating with them. I see now I have been eating a generic, bland, mass-produced product. So, I had to ask for the brand and look them up at home. It's so exciting to be able to walk into this shop and pick up these crackers - can't wait to share them! I have not tried any of there other items but I will now that I have discovered their quality, commitment, and history. Thank you Valley Lahvosh for opening up a whole other dimension to crackers I didn't know existed!
