Restoring Your Life
This is how they've left my floors for 4 months. Covered in MOLD spores.

Really wish I had looked at reviews before my insurance company assigned them for our repairs. They gave up on a large portion of the project, did the bare minimum and it took them forever to even do that. They weren't worried about projected rain and didn't tarp our roof in time so now I'll always be worried about mold in the ceiling. They only came out to inspect for mold after they had already patched the roof and the guy said he couldn't even know for sure without cutting another hole in the ceiling. Every time I got frustrated and said I was going to go to another company, they would magically hear back from their contractor guys and be able to get us on the schedule. They were quick to blame everyone but themselves and didn't take responsibility for a single thing. Words I would use to describe this company are: lazy, unresponsive and dishonest.

I was referred to them through USAA. While USAA as an insurance company is great, and our adjuster is responsive, VCR is the opposite. It took them weeks to give us a contract to sign. We wanted changes long before the estimate was approved by USAA, they asked us to wait. We waited, when we finally submitted our change request, they took a month to review it, then told us they were pushing back our start date on the schedule by a month!(it was still at this point a month out). When I called to ask why, John was so incredibly rude. I'm rarely one to be concerned about rudeness, but I've had more respect from stoners serving me a Big Mac on the wrong side of town at 2 in the morning than I got from John. After this experience, we fired them, and canceled their check. I've since found a new contractor, gotten the changes I requested, and that contractor is more than half done with the job, and has been super responsive. I say that, because today is the day VCR would have barely started on our house, that is before they tried to push us back another month. Based on other reviewers here I've seriously dodged a bullet, but I wish I never even started with VCR, given the fact they cost me an extra month out of my home due to their laziness, rudeness, and incompetence.Do not use VCR, they will make sure you regret it.

We were referred to them through USAA because the company who did our demo after flood that was picked by USAA all of a sudden wasn't covered anymore ! It was a disaster from the beginning. It took them 3 months to get started and then they'd go weeks in between showing up. It took months and months to finish and then it was still incomplete and looked like a 4 year old did the work. Not professional at all! Chris is a total worthless person and full of excuses. The crew ran shacked my house like they were robbing it with no care in the world. To top it off they tried to put a lien on our house for our insurance not paying the full amount they charged because work was incomplete. Would not let them do my worst enemies house.

Simple remediation job containing the kitchen. Their guys are not IICRC trained. Containment wasn't airtight to the living spaces until I told them they missed a 3 foot section. Did not run an air scrubber or negative pressure unit during remediation until I asked where it was. Entry containment was not sealed and is currently blowing alll that kitchen air into my laundry room and garage. These guys are hacks and do not follow IICRC standards for mold remediation. Do not let them in your house. Gets better. Had to call them at 11pm because the dehumidifier was not turned on. Will be reporting them to the IICRC contractors boardUpdate: it got even better, they 'encapsulate with basic interior primer, killz2 instead of proper mold encapsulant like zinsser

Do NOT call them. They have billed my insurance and been PAID for work that has NEVER gotten done in 4 MONTHS. They have done more damage to my personal property than the water damage that they were hired to clean up. They will go for WEEKS without calling or showing up at your job site. If you want a professional crew that will get you back up and running in a timely manner, DO NOT HIRE VCR.

As of today, July 12, 2018 at 7:27 AM, over the course of 1 week we have made 3 efforts to contact VCR regarding a leak in our kitchen. This includes 1 trip into their office. To date they have NOT responded. I even asked if they could refer us to a different contractor, nothing. Because we know the owner didn't even ask about price, nothing. If they pay no attention to a small job offer ho much attention to they pay to their job? One more local business off my list.

I wrote a longer review that disappeared.I hired this company to repair a water-damaged rental property in the Central Valley. They did what they promised when they promised to do it.Due to insurance company malfeasance, the project was delayed many months. Valley Cleaning & Restoration, inc., always kept its promises and did excellent work. I would recommend their service to anyone. Helen S.

Referred by USSA. Started in Oct, signed contract, no word/no call from them. In November both my me and my husband were hospitalized. Got email from them asking if we still wanted the work done, said yes but needed to wait a bit because I was just out of the hospital and husband still in. Finally had appoint for Jan 13th however, no one told us the kitchen would be closed of and not usable for 72 hours. We needed the kitchen to prepare food for my husband's celebration of life. He passed in Dec. Asked them to reschedule, workers said boss would call to reschedule. You guessed it, no call. Finally got them in Feb. Closed kitchen wound up being near 5 weeks! The old drywall guy did terrible job, painter had to redo some of his work. The painter was the only one who did a good job. Getting callbacks was an ordeal to say the least. I wouldn't recommend them for my dog's house. USSA has promised to remove them from their list after my complaint to them and reading the reviews on Yelp. I hope so.
