I have seen Dr. Kenfack for a total of 12 sessions now and I'm so happy to have found her. She truly cares for the well-being of her patients. She takes her time, listens to your concerns, and answers all of your questions. The office is clean and rooms, although basic, are comfortable. Her assistant Mrs. Mendoza is just as caring & friendly, which is important. Don't know about you but I like a medical office to feel like family and they do. Bathrooms are always clean. The doors from the waiting room to the treatment rooms are always locked so I feel safe getting treatment since in a vulnerable state during treatment. They are accommodating if traveling from out of town. I also love the fact that she works at the VA Hospital a couple times a week, helping Veterans feel better!!If you are in pain or chronic pain, I highly recommend acupuncture from Dr. Kenfack! I hate needles. I squirm getting blood drawn but I wish I would've tried this sooner. It is relaxing (after a few sessions), she puts me to sleep every time, and my back pain is better because of it. Included in her treatment is some manual massage therapy which combined with needle therapy is an ultimate combination of relief. This is a treatment that you have to continue if a chronic pain patient which I am and I hope I'm able to have more sessions approved ... my hope is one day I'll be able to go longer between sessions and hopefully end pain medications. Right now twice a week is needed.Take care of yourself & get relief. Thank you Universal Medical & Acupuncture !

This office is in my BC/BS PPO network so I called for an appointment for the following day and was asked for the information on my insurance card so they could verify. When I showed up for my appointment, after twenty minutes I was told I'm not in the system and they couldn't take me. When I asked why they hadn't contacted me earlier, I was told "We couldn't get ahold of you." Huh? I have an iPhone- no voicemail was ever left. Note that I work for a major national corporation and have never, ever had a problem with my Blue Cross policy in 25 years. This place is quite incompetent and I would say the cancelled appointment is probably for the best. I'd suggest finding a better acupuncture office.

I've been seeing Dr. Rophine Kenfack at Universal Medical and Acupuncture Clinic for acupuncture treatments to both knees for over the past year. I have no idea how acupuncture works but I couldn't be more pleased with the significantly decreased pain as a result. Dr. Kenfack is knowledgeable, patient, kind and has a great bedside manner. I have recommended her to a couple of friends looking for a new acupuncturist and highly recommend her services to anyone who reads this review.

No way. Stay away this office is clearly unprofessional and doe snot know how to conduct business. They used to be a customer of ours but we have had to refund them and turn away any more orders.

I've been seeing Dr. Kenfack for 2 1/2 months to help me with my hypothyroidism and my PPD/PPA & it's to my surprise how quickly I felt a difference from just one visit! Each visit, I continue to feel better and it's not psychological, I had testing done to help validate how I'm feeling. It's been a blessing to be where I am at right now because I didn't feel I was going to get back to my normal self again, let alone so quickly. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND seeing Dr. Kenfack if you're tired of taking medication and want to seek alternative medicine. Thanks Dr. Kenfack!!!

I'd like so share my 3 week ordeal with the waiting room and front desk at Dr. Kenfack's office.I called and scheduled an appointment after verifying with my insurance and another receptionist that Dr. Kenfack accepted my insurance. I came in that following Monday for an appointment, and the Monday and Friday receptionist (Mendoza, the one I've dealt with from here on out) said she couldn't find my insurance in the system. I called my insurance in the waiting room and after 30 minutes they confirmed that I was in fact covered and provided me with a number for the receptionist to call to verify this, which I gave her.I came in the following Monday, and she said that she still didn't get word from my insurance company, and I explained that she was the one who needed to reach out if her clinic was having an issue, and she refused to do so. When I asked if there was anyone present in billing she said no, and that insurance wasn't her responsibility. I confirmed with my insurance again after not being seen a second time, and they confirmed that she needed to call them if she had an issue.I requested to speak with Dr. Kenfack and she denied my request, saying that after speaking with her she "chewed her out", that her mistake was "all her fault" and that she was "rooting for me and would make it up to me", and that she has turned away medicaid patients before and asked them to go somewhere else because she could 't find them in her system. I explained that I would still like to see Dr. Kenfack since she has very good reviews on google, and she said she understood and would contact me as soon as possible.Today (Friday, almost 3 weeks later) I called and was met with the same "can't be bothered to do my job" hostility and yet again she said that my insurance hasn't called her. For the third time, I explained that they said that the office needed to either call or fax them whatever they needed since they couldn't find me for some reason. She said "well, I can't schedule for you at this time".I'd reconsider advertising my Jehovah's Witness religion in the waiting room everywhere since she is the face of it, you should be ashamed of yourself! My husband and I are scratching our heads and questioning if this is a religious, or medicaid discrimination thing? Because this isn't normal or acceptable.

I really wanted to become a patient here after reading the glowing reviews on Google about Dr Kenfack. Came to Yelp, and noticed a couple of negative reviews due to insurance issues, but decided that those may be one-off's. I called the front desk today to schedule an appointment for pain management, and was asked by the receptionist to call back in 10 minutes because she was on the other line with a patient. I thought it a bit odd, as they normally put you on hold, not make you call back, but again, I really wanted this to be my place. 15 minutes later, I called back, and the receptionist got my name, then asked if she could put me on hold to answer another call, I said sure. She fumbled around on the phone, but never put me on hold, then resumed our conversation. She asked if I had insurance, and I let her know that I have a PPO plan from Advantek, gave her the plan number, DOB etc... then she let me know she could not find my insurance in her database. I let commented to her that maybe something is wrong with their database, because I just had an MRI recently, and I've had my insurance through work since 2014, it's indeed legit LOL. I also notated to her that the other bad reviews on Yelp are regarding insurance, specifically the database, and she just said "well if I can't find you in the database, I can't schedule you", so I said "well, I guess I will not be becoming a patient here after all", and ended the call. I'm pretty disappointed, to say the least. I've never had acupuncture, and was interested specifically in this office. It's pretty clear that the scheduling receptionist is having a difficult time navigating the phonelines, as well as the insurance database. If I was the doctor or owner of this business, I would definitely look into some sort of retraining for her, or possibly reassessing if this type of work is a good fit for her skillset.

I was somewhat skeptical of acupuncture overall and yet decided I had nothing to loose compared to neck surgery. After three visits I am pleasantly surprised at the decrease in pain thanks to Dr. Kenfack. I am optimistic and hopeful that I continue to improve!
