United Market

Ok, if you need basic things like water and flour, but if you're looking to make something special this grocery store won't have it. Like coffee, you can expect a can of Folgers but no coffee beans or specialty coffees.

I mainly go to United Market for two reasons one being their meat department and the other being produce. Both are fresh and are almost always on sale. I can appreciate good quality and freshness. It does help that the meat is Harris Ranch meats and produce is constantly being cleaned and stocked. Cashiers are always nice and the people on the floor are always ready to help. It also helps that it's not a super huge store and that half of Selma isn't there shopping for groceries. Crowds scare me and make me nervous. Lol

I'm sure this is a regular no big deal grocery store for those who live in Selma. For those of us who don't and want a great source for Harris Ranch beef at great prices, it is like a hidden gem. I picked up five 10 Oz New York strip steaks, a pair big cross rib roasts, two pounds of carne asada for tacos, and two pounds of gorgeous stew meat for only $75. At my regular butcher shop it would have been over $100. I will be picking up a 9-10 pound prime rib roast for Christmas as well. So it's a 35 minute drive from my house. It's well worth the trip. Oh yeah, there's a great burger shop out in the parking lot as well. I'll be reviewing them too!

I never shop at this shit smelling store, I literally came here for my grandmother because she is disabled and wanted the water in THEIR AD. The ad reads 3 40 pack Kirkland brand waters for $9.97. When I got the water and got in line to pay the Cashier tells me it's only 2 and I say no your ad says 3. So the manager comes over and tells me that he doesn't care what his ad says that he cannot honor it because then there will be no more water for other customers. I'm like what? Oh ok I see what's going on here, not only is there FALSE ADVERTISEMENT but now you're trying to take advantage of your customers dollar? I asked him if Integrity means anything to him and he said "NO".

Local, small lines and one of the best meat & poultry sections in town.I'll make it short and sweet, 90% percent of the time I come here for meats & poultry. Best beef because it's straight from Harris Ranch beef company and if you don't know that company then I guess I feel sorry for you.It has the basics of what you looking for in other items, but it's a local medium size market with stuff you need when you're in a hurry. Not long lines or hundreds of people like at. It's cheaper than Save-Mart, but it is own by Haji. It is Mexican influence so you're going to find all the items you need for Mexican cooking and flavors.Also there is cute register girls on the checkout lane, you know the owner hand picks them himself, no complains.I'll rate it a 4.0 just meats alone.

So The man working made a huge scene in front of everyone at the check cashing window because he thought my paycheck was fake. I even had my manager call to confirm the check was good. Said he was going to call the cops and proceeded to berate me in front of everyone. I've never been treated like that by anyone before. Money Mart always cashes my check but they were closed today. I can't believe the way he spoke to me in front of everyone.

I really like this grocery store. It's small but has everything you need. The staff is very fun and friendly, makes their customer service more enjoyable.Their Mexican cheese and milanesa meat are the best! And at a great price :)

This is the best store in Selma in my opinion. Friendly staff and good customer service,Fresh fruits and vegetables,Harris Ranch Quality beef and good specials. Even their everyday prices are not bad they're still cheaper than the other stores in the valley

Great store and the owner is very polite and nice! With this crisis of the coronavirus I was glad to find water. I'm glad they limit the water to 2 packages per person so It would give the opportunity for others to buy water, since water is a high demand at the moment.

WARNING!!!!I Purchased meat from this market and just 5 minutes after I bought it and put it to cook it stunk up the house. The meat was bad and I called the manager and he told me I couldn't get my money back if it is out of the bag. How am I supposed to know the meat is bad if it's tied in a bag. He said the meat had to be raw so he can sell it to someone else. Why would he want to sell it to someone else if I just told him it is bad. Do not buy meat from this place. The manager is really rude and doesn't care for his customers I wish I didn't have to give them any stars.
