Outside by the UU Church Sign upon entry. There are sensitivity classes that focus on inclusion and against white supremacy in the system.

The location is beautiful next to a lovely Buddhist Temple with a Black Lives Matter flag out front. When I walked up there were friendly greeters out front and tables with literature about the Church. They were very friendly and welcoming with smiles and handshakes. They also recognize new attendees openly welcoming them during the service. I attended a once-a-year class on what UU is about and I highly recommend it. The church in itself has a sustainable focus of solar panels and a community garden. It's beautiful and huge and also, I was told built on native land that is sacred. It's very inclusive and these are the principles that the members seem to work to embody there:1). Love Inclusively2). Grow Spiritually3). Serve Gratefully4). & Work for JusticeThere was an entire Sunday service focused on the foundation of love and even the meaning of the Pride flag represented projected on the wall. This article is very helpful to understand the meaning behind the Pride Flag and others:(https://www.rd.com/list/lgbtq-flags/)The songs where about love for all people which I look for in a Spiritual center-not dogmatic, clicky, exclusive or prejudice against anyone. I like the symbology of the lighting of the golden chalice which means (approved by UU-click on link):(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9cxtNJKmEI)I recommend their community events and to attend. It's a lovely experience.

I love this church. I grew up going to the Unitarian church on and off. Then when I decided I wanted to find some kind of faith in my mid-twenties I started going again. I was usually the only mid-twenties person there who didn't have kids or wasn't there with their parents but I really enjoyed it. The sermons are always interesting and thoughtful. The music is fun and varied. The congregation is active and large. It was with much sadness that I left my church upon my move to Chicago but with much excitement I found my new Unitarian church. Fresno, you have no idea how good you have it! The Chicago Unitarian church has a small membership, boring music and even more boring sermons. If you are looking for alternative religion in Fresno, look no further!

I've been going to this church for nearly 3 years. I love its liberal bent and the freedom of deciding to believe what you want to believe. The church is very active, with a community garden, all kinds of activities such as potlucks and yoga and meditation classes and discussion groups. I sing in the choir and am part of the Worship Associates, which helps plan services and does readings or "anchors" or a acts as a lay leader. The minister is a kind and gentle man who really knows his stuff and stands up for what is right, including helping the homeless and hungry and social justice in general. This is a thinking person's church whose doctrine is love and the inherent dignity of all humankind. I highly recommend it!

New to Fresno, I happened upon UU, and have joined, and already feel I am home. This is place where everyone can feel welcome, all ages, sex's, cultures or spiritual beliefs. Although I have been here less than a year, I felt welcome from the start. This is such a place filled with love, support, encourages free thought, no judgement, is uplifting and also challenging us all to be our best and to work for everyone to have the same ability. I know that our congregation is always looking for you to walk in and discover for yourself how such freedom, love, and community can feel.

This church is life changing and wonderful. Reverend Tim is one of the most talented and inspiring speakers I've ever heard. The congregation is kind, welcoming, and fun. They do a lot of social justice work and have a lot of awesome events outside of the church service. If you are lost and need to find a religious home that welcomes everyone regardless of age, gender identity, immigration status, race, religious background or sexual preferences, this is the place to go. Wonderful place!
