Uncle Toms Cabin

We came here one night spontaneously with my friends for her birthday. Never again, everyone just stared us down like we didn't belong. I mean I get it a group of beautiful Asian women walking into a bar that's not familiar to us and everyone seeing a bunch of new faces. I've been going next door to there liquor store since I was in middle school, the owners know us so we wanted to check out their bar. The bartender was a women and she was super rude. We ordered drinks for each person but she served us SHOOTERS. I told her that isn't what we asked for, she proceeded to give us the most nastiest attitude. No other option, non apologetic, just a well that's on you I already made it and you're going to pay for it type of deal. Since we are in different territory we just ended up just paying for the damn drinks and left right after. Super unsafe, felt unwanted and uncomfortable. Never again

THIS PLACE ISN'T VERY SAFE!! My first and ONLY time here I was basically assaulted by a 'regular'. It was a Sunday night and my friend and I just wanted to relax and have some drinks. The drinks were fine and there was one female bartender that was really cool and attentive. The rest of the crowd seemed to be locals and the area was a bit sketchy looking, but we didn't wanna judge a place by it's looks. That was a mistake! About two drinks in a man came up to my friend and attempted to kiss her. When she wouldn't comply I stepped in and told him to back off. I'm a female myself, but instead of him letting it go, he started to approach me at a rapid pace. He grabbed my legs and tried to lift me off the floor. I'm not very big so I couldn't push him off but I screamed for help. It was quite noisy but finally some worker came to help me. They told me he was a regular and this isn't how he usually behaves, that he was on "shrooms". Ummm okay. He was escorted outside but apparently he told people he wasn't ready to leave, so the 'bouncer' (or whoever he was) let him back in. I probably wouldn't have written this review if he had been exiled for that night but it didn't sit right with me that he was let back in. If this is how the establishment works then I think people should be aware of how scum are treated just because they are regulars. There's really no excuse for this behavior in this day and age. I hope this bar does a better job in the future of making their customers feel safe instead of pandering to shroom fueled incels.

This place he s 5 Stars...WHY...cuz, the service is good & drinks are responsible priced! I ALWAYS have a blast there...gotta go on Friday or Saturday Nites!!!- it's a hole the wall, but there bars who R bigger & can't compare!!!- it's like a close family atmosphere, yet the true local spot!Don't sleep on this spot...U gotta go...hit it atound 1045-11pm...

I went to this bar on a random Sunday night, watched a fight happen to a very unfortunate couple, I actually attempted to go back for the entertainment factor lol, but I was denied at the door due to my out of state license.....I travel for my job and enjoy bars, I've never heard of this, I asked him to talk to the bartenders and still refused, that is a shitty bar! I look my age and never had any place tell me this! Go somewhere/anywhere else, this bar obviously sucks!

Since when does any establishment not accept out of state ID when trying to buy a drink? Only in Fresno. This is the United States. United. There's an international airport in this city, but Uncle Toms says they won't serve us because my friends and I have out of state ID. Bahahaha. Uncle Tom.

It is a cozy spot to drink and dance. The regulars are friendly 5 pm to 8 pm happy hour. Bartender Nick makes good and tall Margaritas. Beers are cold. DJ Steve at 9 pm with the 80 's Music mixed with good Spanish music. Dancing with Family friendly crowed. July 27 2018 visited.

Definitely still open and a great place to have a drink younger nicer and very attentive bartenders at night, besides the area around it, great place.

Not a bad place to hang out and have a beer. Drinks were "ok" like amateur bartender. They had a pool table which made the night more interesting plus my buddy was attack by someone twice his size but it's all good, probably the most action he seem that night anyways. It's not a bad joint to drop by once in a while.

First timers husband & I! All I got to say best bar ever! Cheers definitely! Customer service, the people there, environment, music pool & great happy hour Love It! Thank you Uncle Tom's for making us feel welcomed!
