Came here a few days ago for the first time to see the Rev. this is truly an old school venue and couldn't think of a better location. Seen the band a few times over the years, but this place was perfect! Not really sure if there is a bad seat in the house. Bar area was also great!

I've wanted to come to this venue for years, as I discovered it, from all places, on YouTube when I stumbled across an AC/DC video from their 1979 tour was filmed there. There are some items that are a bit dilapidated, the roof was leaking near the beer vendor area and some amount of items that could use some deferred maintenance attention. With that said, there was nothing that inhibited our concert experience. Seating is comfortable and the ambiance (not too huge or a venue) is somewhat intimate to the point one of the performing bands lead singers came into and performed among the crowd (Armored Saint) All staff were extremely courteous and the venue is clean beyond the Munro repair issues and lots of history on display; from the art deco decor to knowing whom has performed (legendary) in this great establishment. Acoustics are amazing, with superb range easily discerned from the performers. Looking forward to future shows, as this venue is also within crawling distance to a few nice watering holes in the downtown tower district.

The venue itself is nice. No complaints there. My issue is twofold. First, there is repeatedly confusion with times. One post online will state one time and another a different time. Calling the box office is no help either. They may or may not give you the correct information. Your ticket may not even be accurate. It would be helpful if they would post the time the doors open, the time the opening act (if there is one) takes the stage and the time the headlining act takes the stage. The second issue is the bathrooms. Specifically, not being stocked with toilet paper, soap and paper towels before an event. How is it that no one checks supplies beforehand?

Went to a rock 'n roll concert here and they forced everyone to remain in their seats during the whole show which is unheard of at a rock 'n roll show. They need to change this new "Stay in your seats" rule! The security guards were completely useless and had no control over some drunks who were flipping them off at the venue.

I went to this theater tonight too watch Joey Coco Diaz...it is really nice but I felt suffocated and claustrophobic. The guy to my left was practically sitting on top of me and so was my man on the other side.Everyone was sitting sideways in their chairs. My neck was really stiff because I could hardly move.I wish they would have had the fans going because it smelled like hot breath all around me.The bathrooms were clean and well taken care of.No bad vibes everyone was pretty nice and helpful so that was a plus.Other than that...it was a pretty good show.

This theatre is one of my favorite places in Fresno. If it isn't on the historic registry, it should be - they've kept it in its original glory and it shows. Earlier this year, someone who rented the theatre scratched/ruined part of the original wood in the lobby area. When I came back the next month, it had been repaired to its former glory; you would never know the damage that had been done. It's been owned by the same family for generations and managed lovingly by another family for years. I recently attended a community meeting at another venue and the owner was there with input on the local community, you can totally tell they care about Fresno's tower district. When you visit, make sure to go upstairs and check out the retro powder room and lounge area.I've been to many shows here over the years and enjoyed myself every time. Keep in mind that the shows/events, etc are out on by individuals or groups not associated with the theatre itself. The non-profit I work with uses the theatre 9 times a year and have had a good experience with theatre management. I've found them to be accommodating to a variety of set ups and uses, they are totally open to whatever you want to do! I know they've hosted weddings here and I bet it makes a magical experience. The owners make upgrades slowly, as they are able. If you'd like to help, I'm sure they'd love donations made in their website. I hope this Tower gem always stays with the Abbate family for all of Fresno to enjoy!

PLEASEEEEEE be careful if you're coming here alone as a woman!!!! i bought front row tickets to see the alton's here & the band was incredible but the experience was HORRIBLE!!!! i've been to many concerts solo dolo but i will never attend a concert here alone again, if i ever even return. i had two empty seats next to me and a drunk belligerent man wandered into our isle and sat next to me. security was 5 feet away this entire time (keep this in mind) and didn't even bother asking or checking if that was his seat. he proceeded to harass me all night asking inappropriate questions like "are u here with someone? want to grab a drink at the bar with me? would you like to dance?" and at one point this man even GRABBED me, which i tried to shake him off but he was 10x my size and could not get his grip to loosen off of me. i was clearly uncomfortable and i kept trying to make eye contact with the security guard to signal for help which many of them looked over but DIDNT DO ANYTHING!!! he was also clearly making the girl in the band so uncomfortable. he was shoving his phone in her face recording her and blowing her kisses and again, security did nothing.to top that off, the other guy next to me stood recording the whole entire concert. he invaded my personal space multiple times and didn't give a damn when the concert attendees were telling him to "sit the f down". if you're going to buy front row seats to a fxcking SEATED THEATER at least be mindful of the people around you when you stand, especially if you're big back af. there is such thing as concert etiquette and some of yall need to learn it. i am for publicly shaming people so if you know the guy in the attached photo, tell him he sucks.also, i'm like under 100 pounds and even the seats were on the smaller side for me. you definitely don't get elbow room & if you're seated next to someone w bad hygiene then you're going to be smelling them all night.so all in all, i spent my fxcking money on tickets, drove two hours to see a band i've been dying to see only to be harassed/grabbed by a drunk man and have my view completely blocked by another man while security was nonexistent. i'll stick to shows at strummers, tioga brewery, & full circle bc this bs would get checked so fast there.

My wife and I just returned from the Tower's 'Irish Christmas' show and we were blown away how excellent this event was...I was a bit concerned that the stage might be a bit small for a 'Riverdance' type of event but this was not an issue in any regard. Staff was attentive/friendly, parking was convenient, and the venue was perfect (lighting, sound, comfort, proximity to the stage). Simply, it was a wonderful, meaningful Christmas event and I'm hoping the show returns next year (I've already promised friends/family the same evening next year)! Thank you Tower Theatre!

Do not buy tickets for shows from those thieves !They steal your money if a show is rescheduled (no refund in that case) to a future date even if you can't attend; and there is nobody you can talk to to get it sorted out.If you look at the terms on the ticket's receipt it's clear why they couldn't care less to return my message: no refunds if shows are re-scheduled.I drove 3h30 from San Jose to Fresno, and another 3h to get back, on 12/10/2021 only to find out the concert had been re-scheduled.There was nobody at the theater, and nothing indicating the cancellation. Only way to find out was to call the theater and land on their pre-recorded message. There were no emails sent to warn of the cancellation even though they had the contact information (tickets were bought online); and they knew at least 8+ hours before the show that it was cancelled as I later found out they had posted a notice on their Facebook page... great.
