Toni's Courtyard Café

Must visit when in MERCED! Everything in this cute homey cafe was absolutely delicious. Everything was so fresh. I'm am so glad i came here on my lunch, everything was superb. I ordered the Mediterranean grilled chicken sandwich with potato salad and I fell in love first bit and finished absolutely and didn't leave one crumb behind. I then made the mistake of browsing the dessert case and ordered so much to go for my husband, with another side of potato salad. Everyone in there was so pleasant and seemed like many regulars come and are greeted my name when they come in. Wish this was closer to SF!

Great place. I don't think any place can get 5, but I give it a 4.5. Bacon could be cooked a little more in my view. Also, the hashbrowns were not well cooked--not crispy at all. Excellent service. Popular place.

I've been here twice and after giving it a second chance I don't think I'll be coming back. The food was good but for the price I rather go somewhere else where I know I will love my food. The price was too high for what we got! I also couldn't get past the smell from their menus.

Food was delicious and hot . Servers are attentive and friendly.Outdoor setting was peaceful and relaxing.Place was clean and inviting.

Excellent customer service and very friendly staff! Brunch is always a must here! Love how the fruit is fresh and not a jam or jelly like!

Seriously dirty! But we could have came at a bad time like a rush. However that shouldn't be an excuse. The food was good. The service was prompt and efficient, except for being informative. I asked if they had sparkling water and instead of informing me about the extremely outrageous price of $6.50 for just 4oz she just said "yes I'll get that." And when the ticket came it read soda $3.50 plus sparkling water $3.00 seems highly suspicious so I don't feel comfortable ever stopping by there again.

We happened to be in town and wanted some breakfast. With the power of yelp, we decided on Toni's. The reviews were amazing. We walked in and were quickly seated. We had the pleasure of having Denise as our server. She is a rockstar.Quick warning. This place got packed quick. That should tell you that this place is good. I ordered the chicken fried steak while the wifey went with the Maui French toast. I ordered the country potatoes without onions and bell peppers because I don't like either. If you do order the potatoes with the added onions and bell peppers, there is a charge. Weird right? The food came out fast. Time to eat. The chicken fried steak is definitely not made in house but was still good. The gravy on top was delicious. The wife really liked her French toast. If you're in Merced, Toni's is a great place for breakfast.

I don't frequent Toni's Courtyard Cafe because it doesn't seem to be consistent with great food like it used to be. I recently stopped in for lunch and ordered something differently than my usual. While I was eating my sandwich I chewed down on a hard piece of something. My meat was supposed to be turkey. I took it out of my mouth and it was either an end piece of ham with the tough outer skin or thick bacon with the same skin. It was inedible. I mentioned it to the cashier and was given a discount and apologies. However, living in Merced one really just wants a restaurant they can patronize that shows they care about serving great food. It's just not here. So sad!

Great breakfast. Bakery on site has delightful "treats" Very nice staff. Comfy & homey environment.
