Had THE best weekend in Yosemite. No camping for hubby and me - we stayed at a Bed & Breakfast. I've stayed at my share of B & B's and this was a five-star experience. Why? 1. Treats every night - chocolate dipped strawberries & homemade chocolate chip cookies. 2. Turn down service with chocolates on our pillows. 3.Concierge service. Yes, I said concierge service. Sharon made our dinner reservations and would have hooked us up with whatever else we needed/wanted. 4. Windshield was cleaned daily. I kid you not. David would go out each morning and clean our bug graveyard of a windshield every day. 5. Ice and refreshments provided every day. Add-ons 1. David is a antique car collector. He has a several cars and hubby got to drive a Model T. Quoting hubby " it was a once in a lifetime experience". We didn't even expect to want and/or enjoy doing this but we loved it. AWESOME! 2. The place is immaculate. For those who are clean freaks, you will love this place. I nearly died it was so nice and clean. 3. Fresh linens...everyday! 4. Free Wifi.5. Wonderful beautiful dishes. Sharon pays a lot of attention to detail. 6. Sharon and David are the best people ever. EVER! The food...AWESOME. A french toast/bread pudding the first day, second day egg and ham strata, third day crepe filled with nectarine/peach. Along with that lots of fresh fresh and some kind of baked good each day. Lodging - we stayed in the "cottage". Two floors, queen bed and bath on second floor. TV downstairs. There is also a suite - we got to see it and it's amazing. It's the whole upper floor. We're totally staying there the next time. If you want lodging nearby (the B & B is close to the South entrance), wonderful accommodations, a great breakfast everyday, a five-star experience and did I mention they have a fire pit?! We didn't get to roast marshmallows but they do that too!? Stay at the Tin Lizzie Inn - I think I'm spoiled now. My hubby and I are the worst ever workaholics and this place got us to relax and one of the many swings around the house, we got to reconnect and enjoy Yosemite and enjoy each other.

Highest recommendation for this bed and breakfast. The owners Sheran and David are delightful and extremely accommodating. They made staying at the inn a wonderful experience. Their attention to detail is incredible. The suite was large and beautiful--a Victorian feel (with a treasure of antiques throughout) with all the modern conveniences. The house and setting are gorgeous. The breakfasts were amazing. Sheran is a wonderful cook and the meals were beautifully presented on the balcony or indoors.Riding around in the Model T put a punctuation mark on the whole experience. It was definitely a highlight. There is only one problem. The Tin Lizzie Inn is now the reference to which I will compare all other B&Bs. I may have been spoiled for life....

High-Priced! Ostentatious! Skimpy Breakfast! Scrimped Hospitality! Shockingly Overrated! My review is "exclusively" about our experience with this B&B's Innkeepers affability and hospitality, the breakfasts that were served at the Inn during our stay, and the owner, Sheran's interference with our reservation after we booked "a Suite" here last summer on Expedia's website. For a high price-tag of $850 for 2-nights, our stay here was incredibly disappointing to the extent that it has deterred us from going to any other B&B anytime soon. After extensively researching Yosemite for best lodging options, we planned our entire 5-day Yosemite trip around the dates of finding availability at Tin Lizzie Inn. From the minute we arrived we were ambivalent about the hosts' cold and standoffish attitude and sensed their reluctance to serve us. We showed up at 3PM sharp with NO warm greetings and no one opened the Inn's front-entrance door. After 5-7 minute wait, the innkeeper Jeb who looked rather withdrawn came out of the back-door, pointed with a hand gesture showing where to park our car. There was NO help with our luggage and NO intro was given about the Inn, or of the Fish Camp area (which is not really a town). When asked about where to get dinner, the innkeeper casually said there's a book in the room with suggestions for dining. I desperately wanted to have some tea to help relieve my nausea due to the narrow, curvy drive. Feeling light-headed and not quite in a state to talk, I was befuddled to see that the innkeeper Jeb showed no proclivity to offer any help even after seeing me in a woozy state. Even a nearest pharmacy is miles away from out here in the boondocks. I started to retract in my mind thinking is this the same B&B that is so highly rated in every booking and reviews websites? Yes I do check multiple websites before booking. In a high-priced, high-rated and sophisticated B&B, one would expect of an evening social wine-hour, or at least a late-afternoon high-tea. In fact what really lured us in picking this quaint, on-highway destination were those Inn's glorifying reviews with reference to those little extra touches and hosts going an extra mile..., the only reason why we ended up here and not in a hotel! It was hurtful to know that the hosts here are inconsistent in serving their guests by going according to their whim and fancy. I'm sure that we're not the only ones who got the short end of the stick but we certainly are the first to express our disappointment openly.Host Jeb had emailed us sample itinerary mentioning popcorn and marshmallows by the fire-pit on both evenings of our stay. Turned out it was a fake offer! The manipulative and shrewd owner of this Inn Sheran just did herself a favor earning extra money by booking more guests at our expense, yet she clearly said in her email that "we'll have the perks nonetheless!"With NO tea-hour offered there was also NO tea-maker/kettle in the room. Even though I didn't have any tea bags, I requested for a kettle. I couldn't believe my eyes the kind of kettle that was sent; a tiny and terribly worn-out, all plastic, old and cracked tea-kettle. I didn't even want to touch it as I didn't feel safe to plug it in. We decided to get out... and drove half-hour to Oakhurst to get an early dinner. It was also a real challenge to find a decent dinner near Fish Camp. On second night, picking up dining recommendation from the Inn's suggestion book we ate at a restaurant across the highway from Tin Lizzie Inn. A big mistake! In the name of fine-dining it was real bad food. Breakfasts at the Inn were more of a show, a formality. Skimpy portion-size with no options, it didn't feel like the first meal of the day for feeling full and nourishment. It was a huge disappointment especially if you're preparing to go on a hike. The first morning we were served just half-a-piece of French toast (only one triangle!). No eggs, meat, potatoes, fruit or anything else on the side, just half a piece of toast! I believe you're supposed to fill your appetite with eye-appeal, as they're heavy on presentation with glitzy china and place settings. The big bummer was when Jeb served only half-cup of lukewarm tea. They were stingy on hot beverage too. We felt we were begrudgingly served breakfast here. Moreover we had to hear from the hostess how difficult it is to do oven-baking at higher elevations with time and temperature adjustments. That's probably why there were no cookies for us upon our arrival. We wanted our trip to end on a high note but our decision to stay here was a swing and a miss. My only shining lone-star of this review goes to a 10-minute Model-T ride for which we had to ask Jeb before check-out. After the ride, Carmen the hostess asked us to write a review about our stay and urged us to sign the guest-book, which I did expressing highly of the Inn since suddenly on the send-off day the status of their hospitality significantly improved from stone-cold to warmer.

My husband and I drove up to North Fork to check out the Tin Lizzie B&B. I wanted to see the rooms before I stayed there. We dialed the number and were warmly greeted by the owner who agreed to meet us outside and let us come in and look around. It is a incredibly beautiful area outdone only by the beauty of the inside of this bed and breakfast. The details of the inside down to the hinges on the doors and the original wood stair railing are so beautiful. I have been to lots of B&B's and this is in the top tier. The owners are so friendly and made us feel so welcome even we were not staying there. The rooms are so beautiful you might not want to leave. The suites are very large and have such beautiful furnishings and antiques. The bathrooms are huge and so well equipped. They even have a makeup mirror for the ladies. They told us they also make a full breakfast. You can even get a ride in a old convertible antique automobile. If you are going to Yosemite I can't imagine wanting to stay anywhere else. No I am not related to the owners. I am just so impressed with them and their Inn.

We stayed here to celebrate our 40th anniversary. It was our first time staying at a bed and breakfast and our first trip to Yosemite. It was a great experience. Our first evening David drove us around and dropped us off for dinner in his 1915 Model T! Before we took off, he did a mini photo shoot of us in and by the Model T - I loved this as my husband is not one to have pictures made. Took the pics with my camera - so nice! I echo all the previous reviews - breakfast was beautiful and delicious. Sheran is an amazing cook! David helped us plan our day at Yosemite which was great since the park is so huge and we needed guidance. The last morning, their resident squirrel put on a show for us at breakfast!

If you're willing to deal with racism, racist comments, & find out that even the name of this business is racist, then you'll be great. The home is beautiful and the breakfasts are pretty good. If you are ethnic minority and desire to feel completely safe and not have to deal with triggering or traumatizing comments, you may consider elsewhere as the owner Dave does not have a filter. In addition, the very name of this business having an extremely racist legacy which you will find out after he's given you a tour. Attached are screenshots of the letter I sent to Sheran, one of the owners, after our week-long honeymoon stay. My husband and I both identify as Black & spent a week there. Our last night there was the straw that broke the camel's back... when we found out the racist history associated with the name of the business and a racist comment was made towards me. I have received no response to the letter.

This is with no hesitation that I give the Tin Lizzie Inn 5 stars. I won't give details on all the plus you get when you go there as Wendy did it but yes David washes your windshield in the morning, she is not kidding! Breakfast is really amazing too!Sheran and David will also give recommendations on what to do when. When you stay at this bed and breakfast, be ready to leave the stress behind you and enjoy your stay.

We had a great two nights at the Tin Lizzie celebrating our anniversary. The cottage is separate from the main house (only sharing a wall), and it's nice to have your own place and privacy. The place is immaculate!David and Sharon are excellent hosts and made sure that everything was as perfect as possible. It was a lot of fun riding in a 1912 model-T - definitely an unexpected bonus of staying here. Chatting with David about the things he's done in his life is also very educational :-)Our first morning we left early to beat the crowds on half dome, and Sharon made us a cute little to-go breakfast/care package. When we returned, tired, dirty and famished, David made reservations for us at a local restaurant where we enjoyed the early bird special. Breakfast the next morning was a multi-course event and completely delicious. It's about an hour from the Inn to the valley floor, so if you're planning a trip to yosemite and want to stay off the beaten path a little, definitely recommend the Tin Lizzie Inn.
