The Waffle Spot

A bit of small town, with some Very fun big town items. Stopped by here en route to picking my mom up from NorCal and thought this place seemed like a nice hometown feeling place, and I was right. Super hospitable staff, very Americana guests (farmers, cowboy looking folk), and a nostalgia of Christianity sprinkled around. And it was very nice.The Waffle Spot, which is only open for breakfast and lunch, has your staple of items waffles (of course), sandwiches and chiliquilles this Spot has fancy takes on hometown staples. After a cup of what I would call the world's best cup of coffee, we dug into the lunch. After a filling meal I felt satisfied and marked my yelp to eat back here on the way back down to LA. If you're in the area and are looking for a great breakfast and a bit of Americana then stop by the Waffle Spot for a bit of fried goodness and something new for lunch. Enjoy!

Friendly staff and good food. Great reward after running a 5k run. Waffles were delicious.

First time here. I kind of expected better. I ordered a burger. It was good. I did not like the French fries. They weren't completely cooked. I don't like mushy fries. Hubby got a chili verde omelette. He said it was "ok". The waitress was not very attentive. Only have Coke products . I did like that they give you a carafe of coffee so you don't have to ask for refills all the time! I think it was probably a cute place at one time. Could use an overhaul. I'm willing to try again.

The best waffle I've ever had, but you'd expect it from a place called waffle spot. I had the waffle with fresh strawberries. I asked because the picture had the glazed type, which typically is too sweet. They did not include the glaze. The waffle had a nice flavor and bite to them. I know where to go next time I'm up in the area. Please bring waffle spot down to my town.

So, me and my little family swung by this place due to my daughter having her 8U Softball Tournament in Madera. I knew we would be needing somewhere to eat during our stay, so I came to my Handy Dandy "Yelp" and found this diamond.The Service was amazing! I can't remember our waitresses name, but she was a beautiful soul that made sure we all were satisfied and very attentive. She earned her a great tip. With an added bonus of the Food being really good... this place is a can't miss if you're ever in the Area of Madera.

This place is amazing! The servers were all very kind and got us seated and served quickly even though they were busy. My wife loved the chicken wrap and the peanut butter banana waffles were a great recommendation. When you walk in it gives an old diner and grandmas kitchen combined vibe to make for a very homey atmosphere.

This is a rock-solid breakfast place if you're in Madera, CA. It's a diner with character that supports the local community and serves quality breakfast options and waffles, of course.We were in town for the Madera District Fair and wanted some food from a local place - instead of just another national chain restaurant.The Waffle Spot did not disappoint.I went with their Chorizo Skillet and thoroughly enjoyed it. Generous serving of goodness in the morning - a perfect way to start the day. Had a delicious root beer to wash it down, too.Bookmarked this place for our next visit to Madera or even Fresno (only about 15 miles to the South).

This place is as good as it gets for breakfast. Great retro atmosphere and delicious food. Waitress has her regular customers who she knew by name and knew what they would order. It was like being in a scene from a movie, we were there before dawn in the foggy parking lot. Great place but they close on Sunday.

Love everything about this place!! My wife loves the Nutella banana waffle they are the best in the waffle business.. the chile verde is tasty and delicious and don't get me started on the country fried steak! Makes me a little sad that they are only open half the day cause right now at midnight I'm craving their country fried steak with a side of fries and Nutella waffles on the side... MY WIFES NUMBER 1 PREGNACY CRAVING IS DEFINITELY THEIR NUTELLA WAFFLES.. the staff is friendly and kid friendly always providing coloring supplies and very patient and kind when my kids spill their drink

Cute little spot to eat breakfast or lunch with the family. Clean, well stocked bathrooms, friendly staff and very fast food service.!!
