The Waffle Place

The customer service was excellent, everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere was extremely welcoming and the dining experience was very clean and well kept. The food was very tasty and has good size portions. Overall, the quality of this restaurant is superb and I will be returning specifically for this dine in experience!

2/22/25 Already know they have Great breakfast! Now it's time to try their açaí bowls for dinner! I I called and ordered two. The worker, Penny was kind and said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I went to pick it up shortly later! They were busy! Greeted right upon entering, short wait and order was ready. I paid for it and he bagged it for me and wished a blessed day! Appreciated! Dinner time! My açaí bowl was DELICIOUS! Lots of flavor! Love the dark açaí! Mother said hers was GREAT! Leftovers too! Couple more dinners! Great service & GREAT açaí bowls!HIGHLY Recommended'!

Where to begin? The restaurant is noisy as can be.... It's all hard surfaces and just echoes the sound around. There's nothing absorbing it. Unfortunately, I was with somebody so could not mitigate by putting my earplugs in... but that was only one of the issues here..The booths are ridiculously tight you can't even sit in them with any room to maneuver. And I'm not exaggerating!The food itself has several problems. How can you not cook country potatoes all the way through? Inexcusable... the scrambled eggs were dry.... Like dry eggs with no flavor?The country gravy is terrible. Straight up dollar store quality with nothing original or added to draw interest.... It just checks the very basic box. Among the worst available in Fresno... it's such low hanging fruit to be able to make a decent gravy. It's like the foundation stone for any decent breakfast house... another nail in the coffin here!The hashbrowns were cooked perfectly, no complaints there. And the country fried steak was good! I ordered my eggs Sunnyside up and they were super runny.. undercooked. The sausage is flavorless.... Perhaps one of the few times in my life where I didn't even bother eating it...The remodel looks nice, but it's just done from a non-user perspective. It's likely that we will not return here... the reviews seem way too generous posted by people who are happy with a pile of crap sugar on their plate and not paying attention to much else. Big deal, you can get that anywhere...They also got the order wrong on my father's meal. He had ordered his eggs scrambled... and they arrived Sunnyside up. Since both of our plates were put on the table at the same time, that delayed his eating for about 10 minutes while I worked through mine..Super not impressed here! Don't care about your sweets, your juices, your baked goods and candy store stuff. I care about the basics in execution of cooking an egg properly, potatoes, making food that actually taste good and is palatable... not just merely shoved out to a table.Who cares if you have an extensive menu with 1 million things on it if you're not even cooking the most simple things on the menu properly? Perhaps eliminate 90% of the menu to more focus on quality...A very disappointing meal, experience.-G

The food was pretty good. I had their divorciados chilaquiles with the roja and verde sauce. The sauces were very good. The sauce is homemade and I preferred the roja slightly over the Verde sauce. The chips are crunchy. I was surprised the chicken was served on the side instead of incorporated into the dish. Service was great. They checked on us a couple of times.

Had brunch here on a Sunday morning with a party of three. Our waitress was friendly. Food was good. I ordered chileaquiles and it was good. The restaurant is a decent size, lots of seating, and lots of natural light. Would come back again.

I've visited their first location in NW Fresno about 2 times, first time here at their second location. It's beautifully remodeled inside. My little family and I arrived around 1030am. We were greeted upon entry. They didn't give my toddler a coloring menu like the NW location did. Our server was nice. She took our drink orders and gave us time to look over their extensive menu. Order: Country friend potatoes with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, and biscuits and gravy (option of toast). -Churro dulce de leche waffle -Chili verde omelette with county potatoes and biscuits and gravy. -24 oz freshly squeezed oj Food came out in about 10mins, hot and fresh and largely portioned. Everything was delicious. The county potatoes cooked perfectly, the bell peppers not over cooked. The chili verde omelette was cheesy and spicy, it was delicious. The churro dulce de leche waffle has been my go to/ fav coming to The Waffle Place, the waffle was a bit dry but the sweetness level was just right it would have perfectly paired with coffee. The freshly squeezed oj was amazing. Our server was nice, we did have to stop her to get a water refill. Overall food was good and portions were great for the price.

My first ever visit to The Waffle Place has immediately brought it to the top of my favorites, thanks to their incredible service and delicious dishes.First, the service: Our waiter was phenomenal--full of energy, personality, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a great experience. He made the entire meal feel extra special with his positive vibes.Now, onto the food: I tried the Eggs Benedict, and even though the hollandaise sauce was lighter than I'm used to, it was still very flavorful. The country potatoes really made it great, because addition of onions and bell peppers brought so much extra flavor that elevated it beyond the usual breakfast potatoes.The Meat & Potatoes dish was equally good. Again, the addition of onions and bell peppers really enhanced the potatoes. The meat was cooked to perfection--not too dry, not underdone. Plus, we got a pancake for the included side, and the other server went above and beyond by bringing us a second pancake after noticing the first one was smaller than usual. We really appreciate the gesture!Finally, the star of the show was the Churro Dulce de Leche Waffle. I was worried it might be overly sweet, but it was absolutely perfect--sweet, but not overpowering. The drizzle was balanced well with the crunchy texture of the waffle and the whipped cream.All in all, The Waffle Place has great food, incredible service, and such a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend for brunch lovers or anyone craving a hearty breakfast. I'll definitely be back!

This is a new location for The Waffle Place and replaces the dreadful BJs Country Kitchen.The Waffle Place on North Cedar Ave is fantastic! The staff are friendly, attentive, and really concerned that their new customers are well cared for. The menu is large, but not overwhelming. It has been completely remodeled inside and out from the previous restaurant and is very nice and inviting. I had a linguica skillet with hash browns and a biscuit with gravy side. The biscuit and gravy was delicious with a unique flavor that was better than most I've had elsewhere. The skillet portion was a very large and just great. I ended up taking half of it and half of the biscuit home and ended up eating it for a filling dinner. I also had a 24 oz orange juice that was like fresh squeezed and a perfect accompaniment to the breakfast albeit expensive at $8.99.My daughter had a Denver omelet with a biscuit and gravy and loved it. My wife had a senior eggs with sausage, bacon, a half waffle and with a fruit cup. The eggs were over easy and perfectly cooked. This location is literally around the corner from our home and I'm convinced that it will become a regular breakfast place for us.

The service was fast. The food was great. We enjoyed all the homemade food. The space is clean and the owners did a great job remodeling.

My family and I came to The Waffle Place after church and it was an 11/10 experience! We were greeted and seated by Omar Ismail who was thrilled to be serving every customer. Our server was Janelle Santangelo had excellent service and was very warm and friendly. She was excellent with filling our coffee and drinks. The manager on duty on Sunday 2/25/25 was Jaded who also welcomed my family at the door when we walked in.The ambiance and food were outstanding!! You get a lot of food for the price.
