The Sixth Street Diner

It's been over five years since I've came thru and I can say it didn't disappoint. Stephanie was our server and she was on top of her game. I ordered the patty melt with fries and my gf ordered the S.O.S. We both left full with some leftovers to take home. Don't pass this place up if you have a chance to go.

I have been in LB for well over 12 years. I have only been here twice. The first time it was okay. Tons of flys and lack luster service. That was probably 5 or 6 years ago. We went on Sunday March 2nd 2025. The food was just okay. The service sucked as the last time. The portions are big, but if the food is just okay why do I want a ton of it?? The gravy was tasteless. Probably out of a can. The hasbrowns were good. But a little mushy. The chicken fried steak had no flavor and got soggy quick. The biscuits were hard and couldn't cut with a fork or a knife. The gravy was out of a can. We took one bite and left the whole thing. They need to clean and dust off all the cobwebs off of the old and faded junk they have on the wall. The whole place is junky. It's definitely a dive. I don't think I will be going back. There are other places to go in the surrounding areas. LB needs to step it up on places to eat if they want us to spend our money in town. 90% of the population spends their money out side of town. And that's sad. But, I completely understand why.

Food was amazing Family Atmosphere with awesome service.The Fish and chips was ordered and it was delicious, plentiful amount served.

Visiting Los Banos and placed a large brunch to go order and the food didn't dissapoint! The homestyle fries and cheesy omelette were great. My friend loved their steak and eggs as well. The two front of the house hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful as well. Would definitely come back.

This place is pretty good. One lady is running the show. And the food is homestyle. That's amazing. It seems like there are a lot of regulars. Very impressed. Very cute decor. A+. If you're in Los Banos. And you don't feel like Taco or Black bear. This is your place. Didn't picture the food. But. The decor looks great

I used to love this place but recently it has fallen on bad times. I loved their Ruebens but the last few times they were barely edible. The place dirty these days and I will not be going back!

Im from san jose recently moved to los banos, I give this place 5 stars the food portions are fabulous it's looks like hole in the wall but all must try this is old style comfort food that we all been missing i had the biscuits and gravy wit three scrambled eggs 5 star

Food is amazing! Sunday afternoon walked in around 12:30pm, breakfast crowd already came and went. We got a table with no wait time. I ordered the SOS which is 3 eggs over easy, (my preference), 2 sourdough bread piled high with tender tri-tip and gravy on top! The eggs were cooked to perfection and the tri-tip was well seasoned and tender. The gravy added the perfect touch to the dish. The gravy was well seasoned and just the right consistency. Not too thick and not too runny. The server was friendly and the atmosphere is homey and welcoming. The menu is extensive with a wide range of selections, for a cafe, I can't wait to come back and try more dishes!

Friendly service and great, classic breakfast food. Huge portions! This is the only place I order pork chops and eggs. The chops are juicy and delicious! Definitely a no frills kind of place, but you will leave happy and very full!
