This was my second visit to this cute restaurant. I absolutely loved the vide and the ambiance. We were greeted before we even entered! One the staff was outside sweeping the front entrance. He even opened the door for us.My boyfriend and I were seated promptly. We were given a sufficient amount of time to browse the menu and make our decision. We placed our order and in about 12 mins our food was at our table! My boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy. It came with 2 eggs and hash browns. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch pancakes combo. Both of our meals were amazing! We also ordered the mimosa flight. Those too were good and strong. I didn't really care for the cucumber flavored one. It tasted more like straight champagne. We'll be back in near future! I want to try the Oreo pancakes

I'm not a fan of this place. The service isn't great. Nobody seems to have a good attitude or like their job working there. Every time I've gone in (because my mom likes it) it always takes forever just to get service. Took us 30 min just to get drinks today or even a waiter come to our table. We had to wave someone down. The food is overpriced when it's just mediocre. Nothing special about the food. There are so many better places.

The Secret Garden has a very Instagrammy type of vibe especially when it comes to some of their pancake/french toast dishes. The whole ambiance gives off that ambiance as well. I decided to give this restaurant in Modesto a shot. I would say the service is friendly, but the downside is the food does take a long time to arrive. Once we ordered, my table waited 40 minutes to get our food which is too long for in my opinion basic breakfast food dishes. What I ordered personally was the South Of The Border Omelette ($18). It appealed to me because it wasn't a omelette I see at every restaurant and it had ingredients like pepper jack cheese, chorizo, refried beans, avocado, sour cream, etc. With my first bite of the omelette, I tasted something familiar. You know those El Monterey frozen beef and bean burritos? Those are my favorite frozen burritos of all time. This omelette tasted exactly like that. I wasn't mad at it. It was honestly great. It joined the clean plate club. They did serve avocado on top that was really browning which is a minus point. The hash browns also weren't crisp on the service and the shredded potatoes were a little mushier than I would've liked.Personally, the long wait times plus the service not being the most attentive was a drawback for me. Some things I tasted were a bit hit or miss like a smoked salmon I ate off someone's plate being way too salty or the country potatoes being too oily. I enjoyed my omelette a lot, but overall The Secret Garden is a 6.5-7 out of 10 type of restaurant to me.

The hype surrounding this place didn't live up to my expectations. The ambiance and decor that people rave about? It's just a small wall covered in fake, plastic flowers with some cheesy lights. Even if that's your style, the layer of dust accumulating on the decorations is downright nasty.I decided to order their so-called specialty, the pot roast. What I got was essentially a bowl of salty water with meat floating in it. It was so excessively salty that even a tiny taste felt unbearable. The service didn't help, either. The waitress acted like the place was slammed, yet there were plenty of empty tables.I don't know what others have experienced, but for me, this was a complete letdown. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and definitely won't be coming back.Save your time and money--go somewhere else that's actually worth it.

3.75/5: I think it's my 2nd or 3rd time here. Came here for Galentines Celebration on Saturday and they were pretty busy so we waited about 30mins, which is ok. 3.75 rating is specially for the Salmon benedict. I was deciding between Crab and Salmon and went with Salmon because in the photos crab looks really small and it's not a crab cake so. Although the Salmon benedict was good, there was a very thin layer of Salmon under the poached egg and the sauce and I looked. This was the place closest to all of us so we came here.

I give a 3.9 now. It's still missing that je ne sais quoi, but the panini was great. I wouldn't try the homemade potato salad.

I was greeted by the bartender in the front because she just happened to be at the cash register. I actually could've walked to the bar area to see how it was as a whole section of it and it is nice and clean and stocked. It's a few customers inside. She's doing it herself, but she can handle it. They have one too. They have 3 big screens tv, I ordered tater tots and a glass of Chardonnay wine. Let's see how it looks when it comes out. they also have a nice happy hour from 2 to 5. I came at 1:20 so I was too early. OK, I add the ketchup and the hot sauce to it for my own flavoring but it looks good. Let's see if we can try it so far five out of five the bartender is great. Everything is good. Oops I just found something. I have no silverware so I have to wait for her to come back.

Pasta is always a good idea.. came here for brunch/lunch... lots of people for a Wednesday afternoon... service was quick and friendly. Love all the decor and fall vibes! I ordered the Canjun fettucine... large portion. Very rich and flavorful. I was full and didn't even eat half the plate! Was able to bring it home to share with my babies.

Ok, ambiance is beautiful. I love the flower, greenery scenery. It's a diner type of place so I would say breakfast is probably their main focal point in terms of quality. I had order the fish tacos. I thought they were okay. The fish was fried but some of the battered was falling off. I had forgotten what my significant other had other but he hate his dish. It was a sandwich thing. He kept complaining that it had no seasoning, and the fries were too salty. Service is kind. Nothing wrong with service. Would I be back? Yeah probably around breakfast-brunch time since their dinner menu wasn't so appealing. Their little gummy bear drink was cute though.
