The Sandwich Shoppe

The Bahn Mi at The Sandwich Shoppe is the best I've had around town! Tried the grilled pork and the char siu and both were chock full of flavorful meat on hyper fresh lightly toasted French bread. The veggies were also at the peak of freshness. I swear the cilantro was just picked!If you are looking for ambiance, this is not the place. It's basically a shell located amidst a bunch of charter school buildings with patio furniture and folding chairs. But, if you are looking for delicious sandwiches served from a spotlessly clean kitchen from friendly purveyors, then this is your place.Sorry no food pics...too good!

This shop is unassuming and a little oddly located within a charter high school that's a collection of one story buildings. Fortunately, they have a sandwich board sign out by the sidewalk, so we knew we were in the right place - it's in the building closest to the street. Owners were very nice and efficient in taking our orders. We got a grilled chicken banh mi, combo with pork belly, and spring rolls with shrimp. Everything was delicious! Ingredients tasted fresh (the lettuce in the spring roll was nice and crisp), the bread was crisp on the outside and soft on the inside, peanut and chili sauces had great flavor, and all the ingredients just came together really nicely. SO also got the ice milk coffee and I thought that was just ok, but I'm also not a coffee drinker, so you should take my opinion with a grain of salt....Overall, would definitely recommend!

Love love love this place. Important things repeat three times. The owner is very nice and their food is delicious. One time they mess up my boba milk tea, they fix the problem by making me another one, I told them that's ok, I still like my drink, they insisted to make me a new drink I originally ordered. I ended up leave with two drinks and both are tasty. Thank you for your excellent service. I have been recommended my coworkers to this places. BTW, their food is fresh made, so sometimes you may wait for a short time if go there during your lunchtime, but worthy the wait. Food is so delicious!

Service was good!ORDER:Shrimp Spring Rolls: Freshly made (not premade & wrapped up). Peanut sauce is thick w/out being a hard solid, really peanutty & not overly sweet. Really well balanced but made even better a/the included pepper sauce. Everything was so fresh! I LOVE mint in my rolls. Being nitpicky: I like even more mint. Combination, BBQ Pork, Teriyaki & Grilled Chicken sandos. Condiment is good but they all needed more depth of flavor. They were kinda bland but they were very nicely filled. All in all, I'd probably really only go back for the spring rolls (they were definitely the best I've had here in Fresno) , but I'll have to continue on my quest to find great bahn mi. Also they don't have dairy-free boba options. Accessible interior & located in an office park w/lots of parking.

Their bahn mi sandwiches are amazing! They are loaded with veggies and meat. They have really great flavors! I also got their Vietnamese iced coffee, which was really good as well! It definitely kept me up for the rest of the day! Haha Their location is really unique and shoved in with a bunch of businesses. Don't exterior fool you, their food can't be missed! The staff are also incredibly helpful and kind.I'm just sad I forgot the photo for the review! That's how fast I ate their sandwich!

This was such a pleasant stop. My husband and I took a road trip which had us driving through Fresno, and I'm so thankful we were able to stop here for our to-go meals. Parking is plentiful, but if you feel confused, don't worry. I was too. This is located within a charter school so I felt like I was walking through the school in order to get there (middle corridor, closer to the street).There are plenty of seating space and simple ambiance. But oddly, that usually gives me a hint that with a high rating a modest ambiance, this is surely going to be a good hole-in-the-wall establishments (my favorite kind!).We ordered two grilled chicken Banh mi with shrimp rolls and unfortunately I have no pictures because IT WAS SO GOOD. The veggies were clearly fresh without any signs of browning in any of our sandwiches. The chicken had so much flavor and wasn't dry at all for being grilled. The bread was toasted to perfection. And if you're like me, I liked how spicy it was - the jalapeños were SO fresh and gave a pretty good kick. Also, we should've just split one because the portions were so large that half filled us both up. The shrimp rolls were also packed and so fresh. The peanut sauce was simple yet so flavorful and not watered down at all. Overall, I highly, HIGHLY recommend. Also because they were so sweet, packed it fresh, and deserve to stay in business. DELICIOUS!

This place is amazing and I'm glad my friend brought me here. It is inside a little plaza where other businesses are so I guess you can say it is a cool little hole in the wall. The sandwiches are very good and a decent size. It is way bigger than ones I have had in SanFran. The drinks are also pretty good, standard boba drinks. I have never had the spring rolls but they look very good so I assume they are. The service is very good, the people are very nice and the wait is not that long at all. I definitely recommend this place if you are in the area or just need a little peaceful spot to eat.

Small shop located in a business plaza. Owners are super friendly and interior is standard but very clean. Vietnamese sandwiches and spring rolls are amazing. Freshly toasted bread, meats are all flavorful and the veggies used are super fresh. 10/10

Such a cute quiet place. The owners are kind at recommend their best sellers. The boba he recommended was very good. Best boba I've tasted.
