The Sand Trap Bar & Grill

1/28/25 Getting lunch and checking this place out! Very nice! At a golf course country club. They have 2 bars and we went to the back bar where you can see the gold course and there's geese walking around too!I ordered a Pinot Noir drink and mother ordered Bloody Mary after a small wait with apologies for the wait. They were definitely busy! Nice calm atmosphere. BBQ Chicken personal Pizza ordered too with 2 side salads. One with ranch and the other with salsa. Worker was kind. My Pinot was smooth! Really Great and mother said her Bloody Mary was Great! Lunch!! Pizza split My half was Really DELICIOUS! Great! Side salad was fresh and tasty! Great salsa with it too!! Mother said her half was Wow! Delicious!!She felt the same about her side salad. Leftovers too! Ashley, the waitress was Great! Very kind and welcoming! Easy to talk to! Great service & GREAT lunch!Highly recommended!

Service is fast food is good. Shrimp skewers are fresh. Pizza is delicious. Mozzarella sticks are so good.

My hubby brought us here when we came to visit him while he's here for work. I was a little leery about taking the kids to a bar and grill for dinner on a friday night, but the servers were so sweet and attentive. Although it was Friday it was still early enough that the drinking crowd hadn't really gotten started yet, and it was a nice environment. Shay is a total sweetheart and is fast! Sometimes kids can be needy and my kids decided that night was the night. Even though she was busy, Shay didn't bat an eye, and it almost seemed like she got nicer with each of their requests! When I apologized for them she told me not to worry about it because she has kids and she knows how it is, and also that mine were well behaved and she liked them. The food was really good and not what I expected! I figured a bar and grill...we'd get bar food. Not in the least! Their Shrimp Carbonara Pasta was delicious! The shrimp were cooked perfectly, and the sauce had good flavor. The kids got burgers and those did not disappoint either! They were cooked exaclty how they were ordered, and were very juicy. I was pleastly surprised to see a wide array of options on the menu. I am anxious to try the Salmon next time. My hubby said the wood fired pizza is pretty tasty so thats on the to try list as well! If you're looking for good drinks, these girls know how to pour! Since it was a long drive, my hubby offered to take the kids home so I could unwind with a friend and have a couple of drinks. If you're looking for specialty shots and drinks, look no further! They were making us all different kinds of drinks and I have to say they were pretty delicious!Reading some of the other reviews, yes the locals can get a little loud, but gimmie a break it's a bar on a weekend night! Maybe those other people should try Applebee's or something. I look forward to stopping by the next time we're in town!

The chicken pesto pizza was soooooo good! We sat in the bar & all the girls were so friendly & nice. Thank you! We're just passing thru otherwise we'd definitely be back

While visiting some friends in Chowchilla they brought us here for Sunday morning breakfast. I got the breakfast pizza and it was delicious. I know it sounds a bit odd, but you should try it. The service was solid, the prices were reasonable and the food was tasty! On a side note, while we did not visit the bar, it was noticed that they had an above average selection of Bourbons on hand. I hope we get to make it back on weekend and so we can be the loud customers in the bar!

Love this place. Always a good place to stop by for lunch and a drink. The staff is super friendly, as well! I like going on Wednesdays, because they have wine and whiskey specials.

I've been here various times and everything I've ordered so far has been great! The servers are all very friendly too!

Bar was great, bar tender was great. The food "Combo Pizza" came out wrong and took almost 45 minutes to get, we sent it back because it was missing toppings. We felt our order was missed and the kitchen threw the pizza together last minute. The server then argued with us about the missing toppings. Not professional at all. Very disappointed!!!!!Ambiance was what we expected from previous visits.

This is a good place to visit any day of the week especially on summer days! you can sit outside or inside.

I door dashed the shrimp scampi from here and it was a 2/10 for me. It was watery and the flavor was off, I was expecting something similar to the picture on the app but it wasn't close to what they displayed.
