9/2/23 = Sage was our waitress, there were 3 of us and our dogs. We all loved Sage, she was great. The hostess was awesome too and kept bringing water to the dogs. We had tuna melts and veggie burger, all awesome. The bread pudding with bourbonsauce is to die for. Sage had recommended it. We have had it previously, and it was amazing.Good prices for quality food.Tuna melts were amazing. homemade thousand island dressing and a great little side salad with my tuna melt that was awesome and healthy. We will be back.Great view on the patio overlooking the river.

Very bummed today. We love this restaurant's ambiance & food. Their staff is nice but they always seemed to be understaffed. We stopped by today. It's about 99 degrees but we sat on the half-crowded patio because it's so pretty and the overhead fans make it more comfortable. They seated us and 20 minutes later they still hadn't stopped by our table to offer us some water (did I mention it was really HOT?!) or take our order. I counted 4 different Servers working the patio. Acknowledging us or offering something to drink, would have made the terrible service more tolerable. After making eye contact and trying to flag down a server we finally got up and left. Very disappointed!

I was so pleasantly surprised by how awesome this restaurant was! The space has been renovated and feels modern, yet historic. The staff is friendly and welcoming. And the food?? Well... the tuna melt was absolutely delicious!! The crunchy, buttery bread was perfection. The bartender, I believe her name is Michelle, makes a mean cocktail! My only complaint is that it's not closer to my home!

My husband and I tried this River's Edge on Sunday around 1:00pm. It was busy but a friend had referred us, they said it was worth the wait. Let my say it was! The inside is a rustic style very nice. Great looking bar area. We were seated outside facing the river, it was beautiful and relaxing. I didn't mind a little wait, my husband and I just sat back and just soaked in the view. Our server Gabriella, was amazing!Even though it was busy she was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. She checked on us in the perfect amount of time. She didn't hover and she didn't disappear. The food was great it's the typical American food but it's done very well. My Husband had the Wildfire burger, I had the fish and chips. Super yummy Husband loved his also. Btw I never like eating outside at a restaurant, I loved eating outside here.Side point, I noticed there were not many flies around. There were a few, not many. No flys we're circling our food. We didn't have to wave are hand around during our meal. I was trying to figure out why and I noticed they have a good size citronella bush. A citronella plant is known for being a fly, mosquito, and tick repellent. Great idea to have that outside next to some tables. I will definitely be coming back.

Mediocre food. No plates with our appetizer. The AuJus for the French dip was extremely salty, couldn't eat it. 8 oz Bloody Mary was the worst. Lacked flavor But then 5 oz of ice really doesn't have flavor. Not worth the drive there.

View on the River is great, staff is good. Food is lack luster. No celery or carrots with an order of wings? No plates either, just a food truck basket.

Bought a bread pudding for my wife today(08/11/24) and when she was ready to eat it after warming it up, we noticed it tasted very bitter and had a weird smell. Then we found mold on the bread pudding itself causing her to vomit instantly. This establishment should be ashamed of themselves to have served food without thoroughly checking its quality. It makes me question their integrity and standards in food preparedness.

I want to first say that my 3 friend's entrees were flawless and they stated were delicious, but mine was a disaster. The 1 star is for my entree aloneThe chef served my Cobb salad in a 2 cup disposable bell shaped paper bowl. This was a problem. When I tried to pierce my chicken with a fork, the bowl tipped over. It was impossible to eat my salad. When I could not find the waitress in order to request a plate, my niece offered to allow me to dump my salad into her paper breadbasket that her wrap had been served in. (She kept the paper as a "plate" for her wrap.)I dumped my Cobb salad into the paper basket and WOMP! The lettuce that had been smushed to the bottom of the paper bowl suddenly SPRANG up as my niece said, like a Jack In The Box, to full size. Now I had another problem. I couldn't get to the chicken, avocado, blue cheese, egg, and bacon that was now hidden below what was now a quart size volume of lettuce. I had to push some of the lettuce into the 2-cup size paper bowl in order to get to the "good stuff" of the Cobb salad.Throughout this ordeal, the waitress came to refill waters once and wasn't concerned at all with my struggle. If I got any vibe from her at all, it was irritation that I was making a mess. The "good stuff" of the salad was good quality, but I had to abandon much of it because everyone else was finished with their wraps, burgers, and French dip sandwich before I could finish. The River's Edge Restaurant is a lovely venue. They simply ruined my meal with their presentation of a salad that could have been delicious. I last went to this restaurant from Sacramento 5 years ago, prior to Covid. At that time, the Ahi Tuna salad was served in an appropriately sized clear faux crystal bowl. Why such an awful presentation and service this time?
