Amazing view of the lake and beautiful renovation. Perfect for the whole family. My kids and grandparents loved the meal and game tables in the bar area. Hope more people support this business!

I was looking at the reviews before coming but they were clearly wrong, these people don't know what they're talking about. We had such an amazing time last night! We were greeted at the door right away by the wait staff. The herb chicken is to die for. So much flavor! The views are so breath taking at sunset. Don't miss out on Erin's Long Island ice teas. Thanks The Point for making our night so special.

I wish we could give this a 5 star as we keep going back to support local places. Service by our waitress her (first day) was amazing. Food was uneatable.Maybe a bad day? I really couldn't tell you. But, the cook/manager was offended when we tried to explain our concerns. We tried to pay the check. And she just kept getting angrier with our action. Trying to explain our concerns but understand short staffing and such. But, nothing seem to change with her by now. So we decided to give the waitress the tip that we should of spent on the meal ticket (family of 4) Hopefully they can resolve this problem. But so far for the last 3 years this restaurant can't seem to make it happen! Maybe should focus on serving the public and the needs. Not another fancy dining experience. It's off the lake. Maybe just simple meals, drinks and call it good!

One of the worst experiences. I felt sorry for the staff. They were young and inexperienced. I don't believe they had any training. It appeared they were thrown in without any guidance or supervision. Other tables around us as they were leaving advising us the food and service was awful. After 30 minutes without service we left too.

This place was awful. The wife and I walked in to get some appetizers and the menus was super small. We sat at the bar and the girl who took our order looked at us with that what the fuck are you doing here look on her face. We ordered the bruschetta and it was basically really bad salsa on a stale cracker. However, the place was beautiful inside and if they step up there food game and the staff a little bit they could have a great place

Stopped in for an impromptu drink and snack on the way back down to Clovis after the Climb to Kaiser cycling event. Amanda was incredibly friendly and helpful. Great atmosphere. Service was amazing, and all staff were great. My friends and I agreed that it was definitely a very pleasant surprise, and we were glad that we stopped. We would definitely go back.

The first time here, my food and drink were great. I had a burger and bloody mary. I have been to The Point twice since then, and both times I pretty much wasted $80 on lackluster food and a gross margarita. You are paying to sit down and have a view of the lake at this place.

This could be an amazing place if it was ever open. If you google their hours to see if this restaurant is open, you will get completely wrong information. Their Facebook page has incorrect information as well. On a holiday weekend they posted hours open for breakfast...Wrong. We drove up expecting a great view of the lake and possibly some great breakfast choices, only to drive up to a closed restaurant and employee parking lot. What a huge disappointment! With such limited places in Shaver, if this place was open as advertised it could be a gold mine. Too bad it is so mismanaged.

Ambiance is on point. Great looking lodge with a great deck. Wish I could review the food... or the drinks... We had a reservation but it took 10 minutes for anyone to notice us at the host stand. The place was at a little less than half capacity. As we were being seated we were warned that the kitchen was behind and food may take a while. We said that was fine and did get water and menus as we were seated. No one came back to take our drink order let alone our food order for over 30 minutes. I understand a backed up kitchen and that delivery of the food may take a while but that has nothing to do with the waitress's ability to take a drink order. If you are charging $38 bucks for spaghetti and meatballs your service should match. If your kitchen is backed up, at least take my drink money! We got food to go at another establishment in town and ate it on the rocks by the lake. Until they up their game I would recommend the same.

Excellent staff!! Beautiful location and view. Do not get your hopes up about the food though.
