The Painted Table catered my wedding at Evanelle Vineyard, and we had great reviews! The taste testing process was fun and helped so much. Delicious and gorgeous presentation! I wish I had photos of the main meal to share.

I worked with Jorge on behalf of my organization. We are a Art Center who took our members on an art and agriculture trip to the Central Valley. The Painted Table created a phenomenal and stunning grazing PRESENTATION! Such a beautiful and delicious display that had all members and staff so impressed and filled with delight to dig in! They made this order happen in a limited window and did not disappoint. They service such a large area from the Bay Area, Central Valley, and beyond. Resounding thanks to the talented and professional production and bartending staff at the Painted Table. We hope to do business again in the future. Thanks for everything! 5 star company all the way!

We recently tied the knot on 2.14.23 and Vanessa and the Painted table pulled out all the stops. Vanessa is absolutely amazing, we fell in love with her level of customer service, her attention to detail, her true care about making our special day extra special. Wedding planning is no easy task by any means but Vanessa made it stress free and made our vision come to life. We were fortunate to have Vanessa be our wedding day coordinator which made for an even better experience for us. All of our guests enjoyed the food and late night snacks, we had the Parmesan Chicken with mashed potatoes and green beans for dinner and heart shaped pizzas for late night snack. The Painted Table recently catered our wedding at Evanelle Vineyards in January. We have heard nothing but good reviews about their food and they did not disappoint. After an extensive tasting with Vanessa Youngblood we chose the lemon capers chicken and it was very good. My husband and I got so many compliments on the food. Thank you Vanessa and thank you painted table for providing delicious food for our perfect day and thank you Vanessa for making the day a dream for us both with the food and your planning services.

If you were looking to book a caterer with whom you can work, this is it. The staff there are exceptional.

We had an unpleasant experience with PT. The food was good, but the communication and customer service leading up to our wedding was severely lacking, and at times simply unprofessional and unkind. PT is the big name in town and wins awards, but it appears they may be resting on their laurels. Our initial meeting went well and they were very supportive of our ideas, but reneged on certain aspects of our agreement. When we asked why, they said they never agreed to it in the first place and that we had a misunderstanding. We accepted it, even though our paperwork from them had it all in writing. Leading up to the event, our quote had numerous errors. When we asked for clarification, we could not get a clear answer. We were told the proposal was not wrong and essentially that we just didn't understand how catering works. A week before our wedding, we were so discouraged, we were considering canceling, which they said they were totally fine with... rather than simply reviewing the bill with us to see where the mistakes were and moving forward. We asked for a sit down meeting to try to identify the errors, and they (reluctantly) agreed. At the meeting, we pointed out the errors. For example, they charged for the same staffing twice. There were also places where the numbers or the math were simply wrong. These issues totaled thousands of dollars. Throughout the meeting, PT was defensive and condescending. They acted as if our expectation to have a correct bill was unreasonable and made several comments about how much of an inconvenience it was. They ultimately sent the correct bill, we paid it, and they catered our wedding. To this day, there hasn't been any form of contriteness or an apology for telling us multiple times it was our mistake/misunderstanding. As I mentioned, they made a lot of promises in our first meeting that were not kept, and we made a lot of concessions. However, after all the mistakes and their disregard for our concerns, we have realized this company just does not pay attention to the details and does not take ownership of their mistakes. Perhaps it was the individuals we worked with specifically, but the customer service interactions got very unprofessional and unkind in the end. It left a bad taste (no pun intended, because the food was good!) in our mouths. We would never hire them again and urge whoever is reading this to look at all the other reviews because we took a closer look after our issues and found this to be a theme. I think being a big fish in a small pond leads to many industry accomplishments that overlook the true nature of PT - a large company that can perform well for your event in the end but can also be very, very difficult to work with along the way.

I would like to start out by thanking Vanessa for doing such a wonderful job and making sure everything went smoothly and was such a sweetheart! Food was delicious and there was plenty! The venue was beautiful and everything came out so nice! I would definitely recommend them!

Our wedding was recently catered by the painted table. Their team & service were absolutely incredible! Our guests loved EVERYTHING from presentation to taste! 1000/10! We also had the privilege of having Vanessa Youngblood as our day of coordinator and I can't begin to describe how incredible she is! She went above and beyond. She knows the industry and absolutely kills it at her job. Can't thank her enough for all of her help leading up to our wedding.

I was a guest at a Wedding they catered in Madera this weekend. I had Chicken with vegetables and Rice Pilaf and it was very good. The appetizers were outstanding and I heard several guests comment how much they enjoyed the appetizers. I would definitely use them for any future catering needs.

Poor communication skills. The initial tasting went well but it was downhill from there. Our scheduled visit to their show room was disappointing because we showed up and our main point of contact completely no showed without a heads up or explanation, so her mother had to guide us through the show room, she was very pleasant but couldn't answer most of our questions.The food (while technically the correct dish) was prepared different than what we had tried at the tasting and had a different sauce, which caught us off guard on our wedding day. Constant blame game between PT and the venue in regards to our proposal, with charges being added without approval and items being excluded after we approved them, but nobody wanted to take the blame. At one point our contact seemed to blame me for the miscommunications since they occurred so often, even though everything I laid out was cut and dry and were simple requests. Also there was an incident where my mother in law asked just out of curiosity if the venue was in charge of the caterer (since they're exclusive) when the miscommunications came up in conversation. That lead to a frantic phone call from our catering contact saying how offended they were and making it sound like my MIL was being rude, but the venue owner said it was a simple misunderstanding and that my In-Laws were lovely to talk to. Overall I wouldn't have used them if they weren't the only option we were allowed to use for our wedding venue. Overpriced, bad at communication, and there's an overall sense of ego that happens when they're pressed on certain issues.
