The Orange Works

Good sandwiches, you can dine in or call in an order. It's known for the orange sherbet, and other flavors of soft serve. Just ate the tri tip with a lettuce wrap and I greedily devoured it. Got their version mint & chip soft serve and it was delicious I wasn't planning on eating it all but I did.

Super crowded, but worth the wait! I'd recommend the Jacques sandwhich and the Orange Smoothie!!! The Orange Smoothie is a must! I'm usually not a smoothie or milkshake person, but I am in love with the smoothie. The best Orange Smoothie ever!!!

Run don't walk! Delicious orange ice cream. Think Dole Whip but orange. They close at 4 and don't be late. Parking is easy and plenty of seating.

Local and fresh! Sandwiches made to order and delicious orange ice cream that I can never get enough of! I usually get the Tri tip sandwich combo that comes with a choice of a drink, chips and their signature ice cream (orange) or the ice cream of the day (the iced cream flavor changes daily and a calendar of the flavors can be found on their Instagram). I especially LOVE the orange ice cream because it is made from the oranges produced in this area and you can see the pulp in the ice cream itself. A great place to grab a quick lunch(:We usually sit outside and the tables are very well kept but there's nice air conditioning and indoor seating as well. The service is great and they call your name via a speaker so that you can hear it if you're waiting for your food outside.When they do have their special flavored ice creams, I do recommend going early as they do run out towards the end of the day.

Great food. Even though this roadside sandwich shop in Strayhmore was packed for lunch on a Saturday, ordering went fairly quickly and they were completed quickly for pick up too. I got the lunch special for $15 which was a full sandwich with all fixings, chips, a drink and ice cream! I chose the orange ice cream which was totally scrumptious. I haven't had orange ice cream like that since I was quite a bit younger. My sandwich was very moist and on a good substantial white bread roll which was very fresh. Strong enough to hold the sandwich filling and not fall apart. Delicious with Mayo, mustard onion lettuce and tomatoes on my tri tip. Plenty of seating indoors and also outside at umbrella tables if you want shade. Truly a winner. They have salads too.

We enjoy stopping and getting their fresh orange shake. They serve a great lunch and have local items to take home with you. The service is quick and efficient. They know how to move the line and keep the quality of food too. It's a great little place to stop in the summer time. You can eat inside or enjoy your food outside under an umbrella.

It's about as local, and as fresh as you get. April is Orange Blossom Festival. We're having ice tea with a slice of orange in it. Orange and vanilla (half and half ice cream) and a sandwich.

This place never disappoints. Sandwiches are always good. Ice cream options are great. Whether you eat there or get it to go, it I s never a bad choice to come here.

On my way back from Porterville I was in the mood for a good sandwich and The Orange Works has always been a consistent classic...a local favorite. Trying to cut back on my red meat consumption a bit I went with the roasted turkey sandwich today and it didn't disappoint. The same quality and consistency I've come to expect from them over the years. Service was as fast and friendly as ever despite being extremely busy. A great little Sandwich and Ice Cream restaurant.

Heading home and saw this place after a baseball game. The orange ice cream caught our eye along with the cute umbrellas. You order at the register and wait for your name to be called. Sandwiches were super fresh. They could have had a little more tomato and lettuce but overall just simple and delicious. We had the Turkey, pastrami and Tri-tip. They recommended the Tri-tip but the Pastrami was much better and had lots of flavor. The bread made the sandwich!! The Fruity Pebbles Cheesecake soft serve was delicious. The orange was good but not my favorite. A little sweet for me but my husband loved! Such a nice and relaxing lunch! We will be back. Too bad you're not open on Sundays or we would be there tomorrow.
