Hungry Hair gets 5 stars; I would give them ten if it was possible. Their customer service is consistently perfect starting with receptionist to the entire staff. They greet you as soon as step out of the elevator. Always with a friendly smile and positive attitude. Everyone is helpful and upbeat... they never overbook and are ready for you. The salon is impeccably clean and very well organized. Each station is well prepared for the clients to be immediately assisted. You feel at ease because there aren't any distractions or loud background music. The decor is tasteful and modern. Kari is simply a dream...she is friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and professional. She listens to what you want and delivers a fabulous outcome each time. I enter as an ugly ducking and feel like a beautiful swan when I leave.I would highly recommend Hungry Hair Salon and Kari to anyone that wants the best!

Lena at Hungry Hair Salon is AMAZING! She almost made me fall asleep during my blow out because it felt like she was just playing with my hair even during the blow dry process. In the end the styling was amazing, she was fast and efficient. I will definitely be back!

I thought it was time to write a much needed update. . . many years have passed since I began to be a client at "The Spa". I want to reiterate that overall, this is the best place in Fresno that I have found, that is why I continue to frequent the Spa, the gift shop, the nail services and the wonderful esthetician services. However, even though the services I receive are really 5+ stars, there are some issues that people have mentioned, and I do think that the following would help:1. Much better communication and follow up when you call. I have been a client for years, and I didn't know you could make your appointments online which would help. There has been SO MUCH confusion with people at the front desk confusing my name with other names, getting dates and times wrong, it's a pain.2. I think it's only fair that the unusual practice of charging 3-4% ON TOP of the service price for credit/debit cards should be stated upfront. I brought a friend in from SF who was astounded at this, and I really don't like it either. If you are planning a full spa day that will set you back over $400 + tip, it is highly inconvenient. I know of literally no other place that does this. The prices are high for Fresno so they should incorporate these service fees in the price.3. When making "spa days" through the packages and letting people know that you can come early, use the spa, etc., you should mention that the spa itself if broken. We booked a spa day only to find out that the steam spa is broken. Bummer! The only thing we wanted to use with our package. Otherwise, the robes, the service, the food, wine/water/help are excellent. 4. I maintain that the mani/pedis are excellent. I always go to Rachel and she is the best for me! 5. I love having my facials with Vanessa. I finally found the best person for me here in my hometown after years of looking. Vanessa has helped me cure unrelated skin problems and I think she is worth informational gold.6. The Medical Spa - I literally have tried over and over. There was another medical provider there years ago, it took me months to get a consultation for the service I wanted because no one would call me. When I got there, the most confused person was trying to sell me unrelated services. I was annoyed. When the Medical Spa changed hands recently, I was told to email them. I got sort of a rude, curt email back. I won't try a 3rd time.7. Massages -- I have read multiple negative experiences about the massages and I have to say I have had that too. I won't go into it, but I will say that my friend from SF had Denise and loved her, so try Denise. I get my massages other places.8. Ownership/Tammie, she has been nothing but professional, polite and I would imagine handles all concerns well. Just because The Spa may have to say, "No, we are not going to refund your manicure about your complaint from 30+ days ago," does not mean it is a bad place. You are a confused client.OK, that is my best roundup on The Spa and Hungry Hair. I haven't tried the hair services, but Hungry Hair was always the place people in my neighborhood (Fig Garden) always went, but my stylist is at another shop, so no comment. ~ Ms. Ali

I had the privilege of two weekends of mother / daughter dates at The Spa with my girls.The first Saturday, my daughter had a facial with Amy. The glowing look of pure joy on my daughter's face was priceless. Erika gave me an amazing massage and was so knowledgeable. The next Saturday, my other daughter had a facial with Paula. She was pampered and got some good tips for getting "wedding ready". I had a facial with Tammie ... it was SUPREME! The reception staff are friendly and delightful and make the spa day even more fun. The champagne and lounge time made us feel were on vacation. Great staff, wonderful service! We will most definitely be repeating these fun dates.

It's hard to find a spa in Fresno that incorporates value in their service.. The Medical Spa & Hungry Hair is almost there! The woman who did my facial was very knowledgeable and thorough, made me feel comfortable and confident in my skin. The facility is clean, modern, and relaxing. The ladies in the front were okay, you can tell they have a bias on what you look like.. I didn't care for their lack of respect or clear face of disgust. What can you do though, as long as your card goes through I guess ;)

It was my first time there... after 5 hrs,28 mins later I left so unhappy & sad!This is how my rating goes:Desiree-if I could give a NEGATIVE -20I would!!!Rachael-the manager did attempt to fix the "god awful " treatment I had... so I'd give her 3 stars!Kaitlyn is the poor hairdresser trying to rectify my situation-she was very kind a helpful-I would give her 5 stars "An "A" for effort....Overall-one of the worst days of my life!I came in blonde-was turned "gray"Then left a "light brown w/barely noticeable blonde streaks"I'd DEFINITELY think LONG & Hard before going there!!

I had an amazing customized facial with Paula! After walking through my skin concerns, I ended up getting a soothing treatment to help with hydration and inflammation. I left feeling confident in my skin, knowledgeable on what products to implement in my routine, and how to better care for my skin. I definitely recommend the Spa and will be booking again!
