The Market

This is an excellent grocery store. The selection is reasonably good (there are a handful of items that I wish they carried, but nothing crucial). But the thing I like the most is that it always feels clean and uncluttered and the aisles are wide. And it's not loud or noisy. (I started shopping here a few years ago after I had just had quite enough, thank you, of the crowded, clutter, noisy feeling of my local Save Mart--and The Market remains a refreshing change of pace in those respects.)I especially enjoy the produce section, which has all sorts of interesting things depending on the season, including local produce--and I really like when they put out little placards to tell you which farm the stuff came from. Sometimes they even have pictures of the farmers. Very, very cool.The only thing I don't like about The Market is the other customers, who seem to be a cut above the usual grocery customer in their sheer obliviousness to the presence of other humans in their vicinity. I assume it's because The Market is in a nice part of town with a clientele that skews wealthy, and wealthy people, I guess, don't have to worry about other people.

11/26/24 Getting ready for Thanksgiving! Great bakery! Large variety! Greeted by a nice worker and got 2 jalapeño cheese rolls. Checking out the isles of wine and got a good looking Pinot Noir. They have a bunch! All different kinds too! Checkout after that and the worker was kind!Can't believe Thanksgiving is almost here! Just about ready! Good service and Great store! Highly recommended!

The Market is unique beyond belief!!! Like a department store grocery store!!! Fresh food made daily!! Super bakery!!! Vegetables and fruit!!! ( everything except fresh OKRA!!! My favorite veggie ! I didn't count them but hundred of beers and ales!!! Piney The Elder!!! Huge variety of every categories of yogurt and wine Breads section is huge ( just wish they had cocktail rye !!! ( Just sandwich rye??) I used to have small shrimp and cheese cocktail sandwiches ---- great wine section---Napa reds and Bonanza wine too Best market in Fresno in my opinion !!!

The staff is very friendly and helpful there. I go there about once a month to buy their baked goods. I love their pistachio muffins the most. They do carry personal size strawberry pizzas and have whole ones too. They are tasty and the price is very reasonable.

All these years living in NW Fresno and knowing that The Market was there at West and Herndon, and yet I never stopped in until today. All I can say is WOW. The Market is clean and very well stocked. Huge selection of all products. Lots of employees who are very helpful. Many local products that aren't carried in other local grocery stores. Bakery. Floral. Prepared foods. DeI'm sorry it's taken me so long to get here.

Hooray for the dessert counter at The Market! So many sweet treats to choose from. The cakes, the cookies, the strawberry pizzas and more - all so good! Even if I'm not there specifically for the bakery counter, I have to go by and peruse the choices of the day, lol. Nice staff there, too.

The market is my go to for craft beer singles. They have a rotating mix of cans from some great breweries like Bottle Logic, Humble Sea, Russian River, Pure Project, Smog city, Moonraker (to name a few), and other local Fresno/Clovis breweries that can their brews. Although the Market might not have the reputation for the cheapest groceries in town, their beers are the most competitively priced in the valley with tje 10% off of mix and match 6 pack deal.

All Food, Service & Ambience. Their produce is the best & everyone is friendly & helpful. The deli is great & products are fresh. Daily soups- the Pozole is outstanding!!

the bakery is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!=) but still expensive=( and so many ice cream options. and the service there, wow, body is super rude there, all so nice.

I've been looking for a new grocery store after finally getting tired of the chaos of Walmart, and The Market is SO refreshing - reminds me of grocery stores from my childhood. Excellent selection of both commonly found and artisanal goods, and friendly customer service. I'll be making this my home base for groceries!
