The Market at Roth

Love this place!Honestly, I went in with low expectations, breakfast-wise. I had confidence in their coffee choices, but was skeptical about their food. I was blown away. I had the eggs and potatoes, they were excellent. My wife did the yogurt and fruit bowl, delicious. The place is clean, well decorated, and the staff are incredibly friendly. We'll be back.

We've eaten at Roth Social several times and love it. After seeing a semi-viral video regarding the Market and their pastrami sandwich we thought we'd give it a shot. Atmosphere was great and everyone was friendly. Husband ordered the sandwich, I got the "everything croissant stuffed/filled with cream cheese" and our son got a cookie. Surprisingly the sandwich came out first and we were instantly taken back a bit because the sandwich in the video was clearly made for the video and completely loaded up. This one, was not. It was nearly half the size. But the flavor was great. My husband was nearly finished with the first half when the cookie arrived. Cookie was 10/10. A few minutes later we were informed there was no cream cheese and they'd need to make some. I let them know it was ok that I'd just take the croissant because based off the sample croissant in the case it was going to be a solid croissant either way. Several more minutes pass, husband is done with his sandwich and son is done with the cookie. I walk up and asked for the croissant to go as we were finished. Lots of smiles and sorries. We left and once home I finally opened the box. It was literally just a sad little croissant with a tiny sprinkling of everything seasoning cut in half. It was definitely not worth the price paid. I understand things happen. These things don't bother me. But staff should have realized there was little value in the product I was being handed and offered to do something about it. For the price of the croissant I could have gotten a dozen at Costco. Might go back, but first impression wasn't the best.

Counter service which makes ordering easy. Lovely interior decor inside and in the patio area. Tasty food and drinks, we had pancakes, avocado toast & lox, a side of bacon. Avocado toast is super delicious, with layers of flavors. The avocado is seasoned well, and not just sliced and placed on a bread (The onions have a sweetness, with watermelon radish topping it off).Well done on the avocado toast, I will be back! Also, the bread seems to be house made focaccia. Pancakes were beautifully fluffed. No complaints. Try the biscoff latte, very tasty!The staff were super welcoming, great customer service!

I was in Modesto for a conference last week and I'm so glad I found this GEM of a place! My hotel was in Turlock and I had very little time for food. Service was 10/10! I felt bad for the young g lady the first time I went because some lady was in there scamming her. I let her know when the lady left that it was a scam to get something she didn't pay for. The chicken Cesar wrap was good. IMO it could use more dressing but they did give me some in the side. This was the first day. Then I went back in the week a second time and the wrap had plenty of dressing. Homemade dressing btw... I love coffee but I hate Sbux. Let me tell you... the cold brew here is DELISH! Then the 3rd time I went, I got the lavender shortbread cookie... it was so good! Light and flaky! In the space of 6 days I went 3 times. I totally recommend!

This place is so cute! Beautiful aesthetics and ambiance. Love that they went a different route in the decor area instead of the typical aesthetics. The service was top notch! Everyone was so kind and willing to answer questions. There are some tables inside to eat the items purchased. It's really a good place to get some work done or to meet up with someone. What we order (which is the most important):Hot Vanilla Latte with Oat milk- 6/10 the vanilla and espresso didn't have the best pairingHot Mocha- 5/10 the mocha and espresso didn't really blend well together and tasted worse than the vanillaCinnamon Roll- 8/10Pumpkin pastry- 7/10 Pumpkin Dalgona Coffee- 6/10 a little too sweet for my personal taste, this is more of a treatMargherita Pizza- 8.5/10 really good pizzaThe weakest point was the coffee itself. I would be curious to know what coffee beans are being used. But, there is really good potential, my personal opinion would be to change the coffee beans as they don't really taste like espresso beans. If they are, it has very distinct notes that don't blend too well.The pastries overall didn't taste sweet. But we wouldn't visit a place for the pastries, we visit for the coffee or food.However, I would go back again to try their other pizzas and even try their teas. The Margherita pizza was solid and has peaked my curiosity for other lunch items.

We drove out to Turlock excited for the pastrami sandwich. Beware! They don't serve Pastrami until after 11 AM. Wasted trip. The lady at the counter didn't say it very politely either. She acted like we were freaks for wanting Pastrami at 10 AM.

likely the only thing worth 5 stars on our bleak trip to the central valley. i wasn't thinking when i decided we needed a blt, full size pepperoni pizza, a latte, AND a steak salad between the 2 of us, but needless to say all the food were amazing. quality ingredients and enough to feed a village.that said i was a little sticker shocked at a total of $71 but the portions were great. restaurant was clean, staff were pleasant. definitely would be back!

They only toast the "toast" on one side and that is done lightly...like eating a slice of soft bread. I asked about that and the server said 'that's the way they do it." They do not serve any jelly/jam/honey and the butter they evidently put on the "toast" is hardly visible. The coffee is good and freshly made. I did not want bacon or potatoes and there is no fruit available . I did also order an oatmeal cookie that I think needed to be baked a little longer . Very moist and soft (raw?) in the center. I think baking it a little longer would also bring out the flavor (spice).My scrambled egg, coffee and cookie came to $15.00The cafe was very clean and tidy.I was surprised that when the server picked up my plate with the slice of "toast" and the cookie with 2 bites out of it, there was no inquiry like "was your meal ok?'

Everything here was pretty good! The pricing was a bit high but I felt the quality of the food was mostly worth it. For example you can see in the picture that they use very thickly cut bacon for their BLT, so they're definitely not skimping. I went on a Friday afternoon and there was no one else there the whole time! I'm assuming it's probably busier in the morning. The employees were attentive and the atmosphere was nice. It seems like a nice place to go with friends

So so good!! I came in with a friend for a quick brunch, we both had the avocado toast (this is not your ordinary toast) it's a fluffy and delicious long toast! She got the poached eggs and I got the salmon on top, we both loved our toast. Honestly the best avocado toast I've EVER had!We also shared their chorizo burrito which was also amazing!! You can taste the freshness and quality of everything.I had an iced pumpkin spice latte and my friend had the ginger citrus latte hot, both were delicious and not too sweet.. just the way I love my coffee.We were excited to eat that I forgot to take a photo, it's that good! lol
