The Loft at Degnan's

This place was ok - it served the purpose. Taco salads, tacos, pizza and power bowls are mostly what you'll find here. They have alcohol and sodas but no real other drinks (nothing bottled to take away). I chose a chicken power bowl with rice and veggies and ordered sides of black beans and pico. My dad ordered the soft tacos and guacamole side. Sides are $3 a piece but are served in a huge bowl big enough to share. My bowl was ok. Kinda small and kinda plain for $11 while my dad loved his tacos. He raved about them. The guacamole was fresh and good as well. It gets crowded at night and can be tough to find a table during dinner rushes Bc mostly everything closes but the general store and The Loft is open until 9pm.

Reviewing for the vibes and aesthetics of this place. This was under construction in April when I went to Yosemite. Back here at the end of September and this place was operating in full swing. We had been eating at Half Dome village & the Village Lodge area and was totally caught off guard when we walked in here. Degnan's Loft is the upper level of the Degnan's Deli (downstairs). This place is aesthetic AF! If you're limping from that Half Dome hike, they have an elevator. You go up a flight of stairs to this A-frame open area with lots of great seating. They have a community table and work spaces with outlets along the sides, a huge fireplace in the middle, and a bar towards the back. Very modern and clean and the workers are very friendly and helpful. Very simple and small menu but the drink options are plenty. I'd want to try their Irish Nachos & their pizza when I'm back. This place is perfect for those who have to take care of remote work while being outdoors.

I almost went with 2 stars but that would be for the food alone, the view and ambiance bump it up to a 3 but wow, this place could be knocking it out of the park, no pun intended.Food: I got the beef burrito and it was not good unfortunately. The meat was too salty and seemed inexpensive. I even found a small, hard item in it (bone fragment?). The lettuce and tomatoes, etc were just sort of thrown in there. We were discouraged from getting pizzas since they said it takes a long time to cook (30+ mins). Service: The woman who helped us was kind but no one checked on us and we had to buss and clean our own table. Ambiance: beautiful wood inside and a view of pines and the valley walls outside. Awesome! (See photo). Prices: $12-20 per person for an entree and drink. Not cheap, but the food is cheap so that's not good!

Another bathroom review from your favorite yelper... lol jk.If you've been disappointed about the bathrooms so far, don't be. The women's bathrooms at The Loft is clean and doesn't smell like porta potties. As soon as you enter The Loft, bathrooms are on the right. Instead of touching the door, you can press a button to open on both sides. Once inside, there are 4 stalls that only had toilet paper, no seat covers. After you're done with your business, then you can wash your hands at the sink that includes soap and paper towels. There's only enough room for 2 people to wash their hands at a time so just a heads up. Overall, great experience! Good job for keeping the bathrooms clean.

Surprisingly great food! I didn't think it would be bad but we were really, really happy with HOW good it was! Coming from KC where people are very judgmental about BBQ I thought this was great! The corn bread was really good and my husband got the baked beans which he loved. They also had a small but good selection of beer. The atmosphere is great. We went upstairs and had a view of the mountains while we drank a beer. Very cozy, lodge like decor with a great fire place. We stopped by here to have a beer while we decided where to go and it smelled so good we stayed. The staff was really nice, the location is great and it's the perfect stop for lunch if you're exploring the park. Right after we went to look at Half Dome. We will be sure to stop by again next time we visit.

I was extremely impressed with this place! Since it was in a national park I was expecting that the food would not be very good. To my surprise, it was actually very good for an amazing price. I would recommend the custom sandwiches because the amount of meat they give for only $7 is great! The pizza is also very tasty. The water and drinks are also very reasonable. I got a huge bottle of water for only $2. Overall, love this place and I will come back next time I come to Yosemite.

Why 5? It's a national park so don't expect much but this is the best place to eat in the park. Good beer on tap. Pizza available after 6pm and their rice bowls and tacos were decent.Same price as other food options in the park yet better. We ate here for three nights in a row after trying the other spots.Good work staff!

Service is pathetic, downright rude. Food is overpriced and lacking quality. Delivered the meals in under two minutes - shouldn't have to eat inedible food for the price ...

The loft. What a great name first off! We were trapped with the long line of cars heading out of the valley at the nights end so we gave this place a try! We were helped by Roxanne and Priscilla and they are saints! The pizza was bomb, a little wait but with Priscilla and Roxanne taking care of us time flew! Wanted to give my compliments to management but never saw them in the 2+hours sitting at the bar, not okay mr manager. Shake hands and kiss baby's with the guests and help your girls out they are busting their asses! But this review isn't about you mr MIA manager it's about Priscilla and Roxanne they are awesome give them love and chill with them at the bar they will take care of you! Thanks for the service ladies!

This place might as well be run by the government. Inefficient. Understaffed. Baffling at how it can be run so poorly. Ordered a pizza that says it comes with one topping, and added one more. Was charged for two toppings. Employee says the menu is always changing and entered it into the system as a one topping with a note for the second. I tell the server after we sit down to double check to make sure it has pineapple. She comes back and says yes. Pizza comes out with no pineapple. Then instead of just adding pineapple they remake it from scratch. Ended up waiting 40 minutes from the time we ordered. Pizza comes out burned on the bottom and not cut, so we have to rip it apart. Did I mention it's baffling at how this place can be run so poorly?
