The Corner Cafe

This is a regular breakfast spot for my family and me. Food is great and the service is usually pretty solid. Wait times can be long on the weekend because it's very popular but I like to go with my daughter and sit at the counter- usually that's pretty quick. The chile verde they serve on Sunday and Monday is out of control, so dang good! Can't recommend it enough.

Just picked up our order to go Two omelets and an sandwichGot home and they didn't provide the toast for with omelets or the fruit that was ordered Called and was told too bad and to come back if we really wanted it Nice customer service !!!

Come hungry! This diner is a staple in town and has quite a following. It's adorned with nostalgic decor for car enthusiasts. It's simple diner food in northwest Visalia. The portions are huge so come hungry. Not only is the food great but the service is amazing. They offer daily breakfast and lunch specials and you'll always see the same friendly faces when you dine here. Not a large space so most times there is a wait but they get you in rather quick. It's a great spot for eats!

Before we left Visalia and return back to L.A. we went the Corner Cafe not far from Motel 6. We decided to go there when we arrive there they people in the restaurant we step and the waitess told us can seat anywhere we found the perfect table to seat at then we look at the menu. We look at the menu then we decided to order my wife order the chicken Fried Steak and a bowl of cream of wheat then I order chicken waffle.I have order different vision of chicken waffle from restaurants but this one it have a good flavors in the chicken it was light and crispy and waffle was airy and light. My wife enjoy her chicken Fried Steak she.say it wasn't oil or over batter. The serve was good and waitess were very friendly.

The food was terrific, the price reasonable, the service wonderful and the company , the best!

It was a good breakfast waitress was nice . I would go again when I'm in Visalia . Place was clean restrooms were clean it was quiet

So Today. . . Hmmm came at lunch time & was offered a seat at the counter so I immediately took it. The one thing I learned from today based on my observations; If you're old, like a Senior & a WW/WM you're gonna get faster service than if you're younger & dark-haired. It took awhile to even get acknowledged by my server & take my order. She said, "Oh I thght they were together.' Well if you're minding the counter as a server, you're fully aware of your orders & your potential tips. So I got my food & was checked on right away. Everything was good & then my server immediately put down my check. I'm not even a quarter into my meal & I already got the check down gesture signaling to me 'I'm done serving you.' Ok miss server, I'll match that energy with your tip. Oh it's gets better. So the older gentleman to my left, left his seat & then a young Millennial type customer sat down. Wow, it took him several minutes to get acknowledged & a water. He had to wait longer before his order was taken. By now there were maybe 6 customers on a 12 person counter. When he food came out, I even said I think your food came out quicker than them taking your order. He laughed & agreed. Shout out to the cashier & busser who refilled my coffee when the servers were Absent. Time to check-out. I'll take a drink to go since my server never came back to ask if I would like anything else. Tip; $1. Energy matched & served. BTW, I got 6x the points for this meal on my AMX. If you're hungry & are all about points. Corner Cafe never disappoints. They open at 6am. Plenty of parking. Very popular cafe. Polite staff, the food is made promptly. The portions are large enough to share.

I have just started visiting this place twice a week and am pleased with the food. My go-to item is the veggie omelette with egg whites. I order mine covered in swiss cheese and a biscuit on the side and fruit. A great breakfast. My only quibble is that the fruit has only two kinds of melon. It would be nice to get a combination of grapes, strawberries, blueberries, or pineapple. At least one or two of these would shake things up. The restaurant is clean and organized with a car motif which is nice. The staff is always cheerful even when they are swamped with customers. A great dining experience.

If you are trying to call to place an order, don't bother. if they don't feellike taking calls they just take the phone off the hook. Place is half empty when we walked to place our to go order and they had their phone on the counter because they didn't want to take call in orders. Food is good but that is terrible service.
