The Chicken Shack

We ordered the (1) Buffalo Chicken Fries (combo, comes with a drink) the (2) Buffalo Chicken Mac & Cheese, the (3) Bacon Chicken Ranch (grilled, chipotle tortilla) snack wrap, and the (4) small chili. Today I found out or am reminded that either not a big fan of buffalo sauce, or the $50.00 food we ordered here wasn't that good afterall... so perhaps, while this review might be slightly unfair or biased in the matter that we're not huge buffalo sauce fans and should or could have ordered with a different sauce, I can say we won't be coming back to this franchise for some time. The Buffalo Chicken Fries, the fries themselves were salty, which were good for me as I like my food a bit extra seasoned on salt, but my lady didn't like it as it was a bit overly salted for her. What really did it for the both of us was the buffalo sauce was so empowering we couldn't eat much of it, especially as we got to the bottom of the tray where the extra sauce laid.The Buffalo Mac and Cheese had the same taste as the Buffalo Chicken Fries. I understand we probably should have realized the "Buffalo" in front of the item order meant they tasted similar, but man this taste wasn't very appealing. Again, maybe it's just me/us, not being fans of the buffalo sauce.The chili and the grilled chicken chipotle tortilla snack wrap ended up being the most tasteful thing we ordered... and both were a fair 3.5 at best. The missus says the wrap was dry. Personally I thought it was fine, not good, but fine. We both agreed the chili was pretty decent. All in all, we had to take a little bit of everything, a bite here and there, so the Buffalo wasn't overwhelming as a flavor. We were almost glad the snack wrap tasted the way it did to offset the Buffalo flavor. I have seen and heard folks say this (food) was a hit or miss... I can see what they mean now in a few ways. We ended up tossing half our $50 meal away (picture added) and still politely thanked the staff (who was busy cleaning and didn't fully acknowledge us on the way out, which is fine, but wanted to note that) on our way out.If we ever come back, we'll order with a different sauce as seen on the menu or try different items, definitely not a $50 meal order, and will edit/update or write a new review then.

Placed my order of buffalo chicken fries online through DoorDash. Picked it up, employee was nice. Got back to the office and opened the tray and it was only this amount. It's 2/3's of what it used to be.Update: The company realized they made a mistake on my order and did right on their part by issuing a refund. Thank you.

Recently tried chicken shack with a few co workers and I loved it! The portions were plenty and the food was hot and fresh! I ordered the buffalo chicken fries and was not disappointed! I had my husband take me another weekend and I got the 5 tender combo, which is a really good price for the amount of food you get plus a drink. I'm able to share with my 5 year old and still can't finish all my food I have noticed sometimes the quality can be a little inconsistent, occasionally I'll order off DoorDash and the quality of the food can taste more oily, as other reviewers have said. But most of the time their food is hot, fresh and portions are generous.

THIS WAS A DOOR DASH ORDER: Chicken Shack, please invest in some non styrofoam containers for your delivery partners. Your customer's fries become wet and nasty, it also makes the "fried chicken" taste more like "soggy breaded chicken". It would also show you actually care about customer satisfaction to not put the cold dippers with the hot food. Review: Seasoned Yelpers already know if I could I would put 0 Stars. I knew I should have ordered from WING STOP! It is my all time favorite. But I order it so much I wanted to get Chicken Shack, or my new name for it, Chicken Wack! The last time I had the Wack, it seemed as though the chicken had a distinctive taste, think Foodmax, no name brand, frozen bulk bag. That's cool if your on a budget and cooking at home. However my combo was $17, and that is not included tax all the other charges. I could have cooked them better myself tbh. When you buy food from restaurants it's because you want to enjoy food made by someone else. Anywho it's been over a year since I've been back, and thought maybe it was a bad day at The Wack and maybe I got a bad batch. Well I'm extremely disappointed. It was worse then the last time. See photos and I have nothing else to say... smh rolling & my eyes.

Buffalo Chicken Fries are bomb I'm convinced that anyone comparing Chicken Shack to Wingstop have inoperative taste buds. Chicken Shack is simply on a much higher level than reheated chicken bites.

Very bland. Just tastes like oil. I would not recommend it. My husband had the Wings and tenders with fries. I ate a Wing and it was flavorless. My two kids had the chicken bites and fries. They did not like the chicken. I ate a bite and spit it out. It was a mouthful of oil. i had a wrap which was the most decent thing we all had.

I dont eat chicken shack very often mainly beacause of price. The wings i got were delicious. They have the best tasting wings. I got honey-garlic and hot buffalo. My only critisism is that the wings have gotten much smaller. The wings used to be much larger. Now their the same size wings as all the other wing places. For the prices they charge not sure I'll be back any time soon even if they are the best tasting.

Service was great, good recommendations and warnings about spiciness. The Buffalo fries were good but a little carb overload, surprise. One idea that the guy with mask gave me was that you can change any of the sauces. They have a lot of sauces, so you can get really creative. I really liked the spicy ranch. The Buffalo sauce was just basic Frank's hot sauce. Overall, it was good comfort food with lots of options. I wouldn't use the men's room, it was pretty disgusting.

Very bummed to be writing this review because the downtown Fresno location has always been so awesome but unfortunately, my visit here the other night was not the same experience. the young girl that was taking our order was very nice, have no bad things to say about her but I ordered a chicken wrap with grilled chicken and no cheese and I said that part two times cause I cannot have cheese. after waiting about 15 minutes for our order, we finally got it. It was near closing and the line was long and honestly my fault I probably should've checked the bag before leaving but I did not. Got home to find a fried chicken wrap with cheese in it... I tried to call and unfortunately it was exactly 9 o'clock right when they closed. I tried my best to scrape out the cheese, but it was pretty hard. I was really looking forward to this wrap since I don't get chicken shack all that often so I was pretty disappointed in this experience. We also got a side of garlic fries, which were good, just very greasy, but I feel like that's normal for chicken shack so I'm not really docking a point there. I'm hoping to give this location another try since it's closer to my house now but I am hesitant because of my experience

first of all, the service completely sucked. took them over 15 minutes to come and take my order. all three of the workers made direct eye contact with me, yet they remained in the back talking to each other. I do believe it's time I take my business elsewhere from now on. the workers here clearly prioritize gossiping over customer service. that type of behavior is very unprofessional and does not make the consumer feel appreciated. I would definitely think twice before providing the riverpark location with your business. unless you prefer to wait for over 15 minutes before getting your order taken
