This place was absolutely delicious- i ordered the caldo de pollo and it was very hearty. It came with huge chunks of vegetable, the meat fell off the bone. But my favorite dish was the garlic butter shrimp with diablo sauce. It was the perfect amount of spice. Service was okay- the server was attentive but a little bit slow to grab our orders. Also the playlist was bumping

FOOD: I honestly forgot to take pictures of my food. Since I was starving by the time we sat down. I ordered a shrimp dish. It had a reddish sauce that was delicious. I also enjoyed the rice and beans. The guacamole could have been more spicy. That's just my personal preference. The michelada was good with a modelo negro. Perfect coding of Tajín around the rim. ATMOSPHERE: I went during 7pm. At this time the atmosphere is more sociable. They do have mariachis during this time. Birthday/anniversary celebrations going around the entire restaurant. SERVICE: We had a reservation at 7:30pm. We weren't seated until 8:50pm. Three parties that arrived after our party were sat before us. Due to a miscommunication with the host. We mentioned to her if it'll be okay to get a drink at a bar while we wait for our table. That would have been ready in 15min. When we went back to ask the host about our table. She had sat another party instead. Since she thought we wanted a table at the bar. After that 2 other parties were sat before us knowing the situation. It wasn't until we mentioned, we would leave that they sat us down at a booth adding tables and chairs too. WAITRESS: She was very kind and checked on us frequently. Even to let us know our drinks from the bar will take a little longer than expected. We even got a surprise anniversary shot. She knew how to separate a check of a large party with no issues. Enjoyed her service. PARKING: There's enough parking spaces. It's a large plaza VEGAN: None of the main dishes are vegan. You can order side dishes like rice, guacamole beans etc.

Service was very slow and the restaurant was not too busy. We arrived about 11:30 and the few people at tables were eating. They came to us after about 15 minutes. Again not busy. Took our order and we received our food 30 min later. We were told the plates were hot. Mine was cold so I'm assuming it sat in kit he. For a while. The food was ok but I'm sure it was because it was cold. It also looks like and is served like a restaurant where I live. Down to the flower on top! I don't think I'll go back here again because of the long wait. Which is to bad because it is a cute place. Very clean too.

Beautiful restaurant! Great server, very friendly! I ordered Camarones a la Diabla and my partner ordered an asada plate.Delicious but the portion size in my opinion wasn't enough. My partner finished his plate within 10 min. My shrimp were very small . It was filling but I got hungry 2 hours after leaving the spot

Tesoro is an upscale Mexican restaurant. The space is nice, furnishings are nice, the strip mall it is in is a bit sketchy and the overall vibe is that they are trying hard. Service is good, and about average for this level of restaurant. Prices are on the high side in relation to the 400+ other Mexican places in this area - BUT - the food is great which brings the value home. We have had several things on the menu, but our go to is the sol y mar. This dish is thin sliced chicken or steak filets (or both) with grilled shrimp, rice, beans, garnish and fresh tortillas. The thing that sets it apart is the sauce. You can choose between a few, but the Jalisco sauce is one of the best sauces of any kind I have had. It makes the flavor of everything pop. The sauce seems to be butter based, perfectly spicy and has a lemon pop to it. Kind of like a spicy Hollandaise sauce. The chicken is tender and spiced perfectly. The beans are standout. The rice is good. The shrimp were well prepared. Salsa is really good. Chips are average. Sol y mar with one meat will set you back $23 - add 5:for both meats - but the chicken is the standout. Try it. One of my favorite dishes anywhere - the Jalisco sauce makes it incredible.

So we came in and had the kids chicken strips with fries, sol y mar (chicken and Jalisco shrimp) and the carnitas. Carnitas were definitely a 5/10. Sol y mar was good. The kids chicken strips were good but the fries were soggy. My biggest issue was that a 2oz side of guac was $4.29 which is insane to me. I can understand $2.50 or even $3 but that was crazy to me and just totally turned me off to ever returning.

Service is really bad at this place. The servers are sooo slow. Literally I think they have the best break room or something because they go to the back & NEVER come to check on you. They are slow to take your drink order. Slow to place your order. Just entirely the epitome of slow servers. Their food is good though.
