I haven't had this in agessss. Before covid. It's not really near me but I decided to try it again. I got their daily special, which was the crispy spicy chicken. It was $9 came with breaded chicken, rice, salad. It wasn't spicy, at all. I see they added chili but the chili wasn't spicy. Chicken itself didn't have flavor but the teriyaki sauce added a nice touch of sweet and salty. Rice was nicely cooked. Salad was okay, had a white sauce on it, a mayo based dressing. (4/5)Shrimp tempura roll, honestly this could've been a skip for me. It needed sauce or something extra. The sushi was lacking. It was dryyy. It was a big roll. (2/5)Veggie tempura: crispy, light, veggies were fully cooked. They fried bell peppers, I've never seen anywhere include bell peppers. Not a fan of that, but I'm sure someone else will. (4/5)Honestly it's what I remembered from before, needless to say they're consistent. They did a bit of remodeling, not as many tables as before. Overall it's 3.5 star. It's good but not amazing. Food here is a great deal. I recommend trying it if you're searching for a quick and cheap meal.

Oh Teriyaki Don how you've changed. They were once a staple for Japanese fast food in Fresno.The menu still has a decent lineup--something for everyone--but the quality has gone down hill and increased their prices. We also miss the extra free sauce and salad bar. They gatekeep the sesame dressing now, charging you extra like it's liquid gold. For a place that prides itself on teriyaki rice bowls, you'd think they'd have the rice dialed. Nope. It's a soggy, mushy mess. I've had better rice made from a microwaveable packet.One of their most popular items is the spicy crispy chicken. But now the majority of the dish was batter, hardly any meat.Come for the nostalgia, stay for the disappointment.

I'm sorry but I just don't understand the hype this place has. I have nothing against the business, they have really nice, really friendly, really helpful customer service and that in itself would have kept me coming back but their food is just not it. We ordered a few things to try. The meat was dry and overcooked, their salad is basically just spinach and their seafood (shrimp & imitation crab) tasted old. The best thing on my plate was the steamed rice.The establishment is located at the end of a small shopping mall, it's clean and there's seating inside and out. Menu is easy to read and understand and service is fast.

I honestly don't see what all the hype is about. The portions are small. The meat is dry. The flavor was ehh. Even my husband who had been there previous times said that's not how he remembers it. Maybe it was just an off day, but I don't see us going back.

This place is a hole in the wall, but the flavors are so good. I wish I would have discovered it earlier. About $15 a plate with a drink and salad. If you're looking for some good food, I highly suggest it. 4/5 because the wait is pretty long and there's very little space to sit. Maybe order ahead.

Dang this place is packed! And for good reason.-Food/Price:: Thankfully I ordered ahead because there was a line to order and lots of people waiting for their food. The serving size was huge. I got a chicken and beef plate, and it was a ton of food. The sauce was really good. I didn't love the chicken. The beef was my favorite of the two. I tried the house sauce which seems more like a salad dressing, but it did go well with the teriyaki in small amounts. I shouldn't have finished the plate, but it was good enough that I just kept eating...-Service/Ambiance:: The person taking my order was nice and helpful. There are a few booths you could sit to eat in. Quite a busy place though if you're thinking of eating in.I would eat here again.

This place is mostly a carry-out restaurant. They have some seating inside and a couple tables outside. Every time I've been here, I've been able to get a seat because most get carry-out from what I can see. They have good quality chicken and the portions are more than enough. Their teriyaki sauce is really good. It's the perfect amount of sweet. I got the #1, teriyaki chicken and I enjoyed it. Their spicy chicken is also good too! The people that work here are hard workers too!

I don't know what's going on with Teriyaki Don lately. When I tried to order some lunch on 2/12/25, they were out of everything I wanted including shrimp, salmon and chicken. They have not even had calamari for a long time although it's still on the menu. This is the second time it happened in the last few months. What is going on here ??? I've always liked their food, but this is ridiculous.
