Taqueria El Mexicano

Every person I have introduced this place to absolutely LOVES their food. Their tamales are "stick to your ribs" good good and then GREEAAAT! Their pozole is red but is always packed with flavor. They offer ground beef option which is a hard thing to find at other Mexican restaurants in the area. I think the only other one in town is Maria's Taco Shop. They also offer tacos dorados, which is a nice change of pace from just the usual Mexican fare in the area. I ordered a small catering order here for a friend who underwent some surgery. The staff actually called in advance to confirm the order...WHICH WAS SUPER NICE because I did have to make some changes to dates. I've never eaten in the shop, however, the place is very clean. Just no bathroom. I came here once to pick up an order and had to go to the ice cream shop next door in order to visit the loo. I also love that their menu is very simple and not cluttered. Sometimes, I find myself having a hard time making a decision when the menu of chock full of EVERYTHING.

Solid Taqueria, Quick Service and Tasty Food :) Son had the 3 Carne Asada Tacos - which he liked . I Loved my Crunchy Carne Asada Taco Plate :)

Delicious! My friend recommended this taqueria last night, as it's close to home and I had never been. Placed a phone order, ready in about 10-15 minutes. I got the chicken torta with a side of rice, definitely was not disappointed at all! The rice was so good, soft and moist! The torta was perfect. Give this place a try yall!

From the East Bay looking for some Tacos while I work out here and I am happy I came here. The Service was 10/10. I got 2 Carne Asada Tacos and 1 Al Pastor. Tacos were a good size, the tortillas were not dry they had a good amount of oil but not too oily. Meat was well cut & seasoned. They also have a variety of aguas frescas and I got the melon one. I got mines without ice and it still hit the spot. Also, don't let the emptiness of this place fool you. When I initially arrived the place was empty, 20 minutes in and the place was packed. There is a good emount of space in between tables and there is also lots of parking outside

Food is awesome. Service terrific and fast. Place is clean. Nice area. My friend and I shared the Cerviche el Cameron and also Cameron soft tacos. Both just absolutely delishes. We definitely will be frequenting there. They have a good variety on their menu. That's what we went to have. Chips were fresh and still warm too!!!!!

We were looking for a quick Mexican place for National Taco Day...accidentally found this place based on the good Yelp reviews! Such a good choice. Unassuming storefront leads into a very clean and super welcoming cafe! The staff were so friendly and accommodating. The menu was simple yet just enough for everyone to enjoy. The food was spectacular! I ordered the carnitas taco salad...the flour tortilla bowl was homemade and fresh, the carnitas was amazingly flavorful, and the quantity was perfect!Highly recommend a try!

If you love having leeched chemicals, and possibly carcinogenic substances in your food, you should absolutely order takeout from this place. I ordered the wet al pastor burrito for takeout, which was actually pretty damn good. However, It was not long after a few bites that my meal was completely soiled. Before I had started eating I took the burrito out of the original packaging, but after having a closer look at the styrofoam container I noticed it looked a bit odd. I started to peel back some of the cheese from it, from which some of the styrofoam stuck to as I took it off. Having then opened it and looking at the edges it's pretty obvious that it's melted. Melted... Let that sink in. Melted into my delicious burrito. My poor delicious burrito...Much to my dismay, I chose to call the place, only to be disgusted by the people who run this place. I asked the lady who picked up the phone about the food and told her that my container appeared to be melted, from which she responded to and I quote. "Yea that sometimes happens since we microwave the food in the styrofoam containers to melt the cheese." LET ME REPEAT THAT AGAIN. THEY ARE MICROWAVING YOUR FOOD IN STYROFOAM. After she said that I was just pretty much shocked, not by the fact that I now knew for sure that my food and the container itself were contaminated, but by the fact she said those words so casually. I don't understand how the people making this food and the managing staff can be so oblivious to food safety. If they are doing this type of thing who knows what other kind of "shortcuts" and mishandling they take with their food. I feel defiled and violated. Completely and utterly betrayed by what I thought was a delicious burrito. All jokes aside, maybe I'm overreacting a bit but I'm upset. My meal and appetite are ruined for the day. Definitely not coming here again, if I could give negative stars I would. I will never look at burritos the same way again.

I ordered a combo over 17 bucks and had it delivered and it was just the main meal. The rice and beans were not even included. It's really frustrating, and they got my payment.

I asked for shrimp tacos xtra grilled shrimp. They did great. Best grilled shrimp I have ever had. Best place if you want shrimp tacos. They definitely deserve more than 5 star rating.
