Taqueria Don Taco

5 StarsWe've been on a mission to find the best menudo in town, and who knew one of the best would be right down the street at Don Taco? We finally decided to give it a try, and wow--it did not disappoint! The menudo is absolutely delicious, perfectly seasoned, and honestly doesn't need anything added. That said, they have all the fixings ready if you want to customize it.The flavors are rich and authentic, and you can tell they put care into making it. This place has officially become a new favorite for our weekend menudo cravings. We'll definitely be coming back again and again. Highly recommend giving them a try!

Ordered a Carne asada burrito. The chips were not too good the salsa was alright. The burrito was big but the meat was dry and chewy and I did not like the flavor at all.So so customer service. Probably won't be back.

My wife found this spot on google today and we decided to try them out. We live down the street from the restaurant and just wanted to give a new place a shot especially a locally owned business and let me tell you, they exceeded our expectations. We walked in and immediately were greeted by a smell of seasoning and spices that foreshadowed the delicious flavor of the food. The ordering process is a pay before you eat unlike a normal restaurant which wasn't a problem, the cashier/server was very helpful with any questions we had since it was our first time there. My wife and I both had enchilada plates with beef, which were served with a generous portion of rice and beans, and a small salad. The plate of food for being 13 dollars each had plenty on the plate and not a single part of the bottom was showing. The moment we bit into the enchiladas we were blown away by the flavor, juiciness, and all around authenticity of this Mexican food. It felt like it was made at home, with love, like mama/abuela was making it. The meat, perfect. The rice and beans, the best ones I've had from a Mexican restaurant. The experience today made us want to come here again and think about it all day cause it was just that good. I've seen the older reviews about how the quality was lacking and I don't know how it was back then but it seems like they've listened to their customers and got everything right. 100% recommend this restaurant.

I usually don't write bad reviews but if it can help someone not get sick so be it. I ordered the Fajita de camaron/shrimpita. I took one bite of a piece of shrimp and started to chew a sand like texture. I spit it out immediately. I took another one and saw a dark line on the back...THEY DIDN'T DEVEIN THE SHRIMP. I thought that they just forgot one, but no. All of them. My husband also asked for no beans to be in his Regular Burrito and yep, they put beans in it. Sorry but I don't think I'll be back.

Awesome food here! The 2 ladies in the front taking your order are always super nice & on point. The girl in the back tho needs to change her attitude. Her attitude is real shitty. 5 stars for the 2 ladies in front & the food -0 stars for the bitch in the backYou guys need to talk to your manager & get rid of her seriously. It's ruins the atmosphere & is going to ruin the business. Ruined business means no business eventually. So with no business means you ladies won't have a job.

It's been a minute since I've had gotten food from here. Been craving a Torta and wanted to try a new spot other than my usual. It was 7pm on a mon and this spot happened to come up for a delivery option. The only quarrel I have is that they don't have French fries and they don't give enough of that delicious salsa on the side. I asked on my special instructions for more but they didn't deliver "bummer", but I made good use from the one I got. This Torta was HUGE! The meat was flavorful, the bun was soft and chewy, the beans in it I didn't mind! I'm not one for beans in my Torta usually but this meshed so well. I'm definitely coming back to try a wet burrito but I probably need to go down there to order instead of delivery. Cause I really want some more of that salsa! Lol.

I think the Chile Verde wet burrito is amazing . The super tacos are good as well. Online ordering available at dontacovisalia.com. They could change the indoor experience if they wanted more customers in house. TV's are nice and colorful interior. Rough area at Houston and Ben Maddox. But we'll worth the risk!!

Bad food, bad service Went in and ordered 2 wet burritos, girl up front was not happy to be there and gave us stank face/attitude. 2 wet burritos and a drink came out to $37. Insane price. Salsa bar look dirty and old. Went home to finally eat burritos and they just kept getting grosser and grosser with each bite. Tried to put salsa on it to help the flavor, salsa was rotten. Do not recommend. Wish I could give place a 0

It was my first time trying this place and I have never tasted a more amazing, authentic Mexican restaurant. I had my doubts since the price of mine and my husband's plates were cheap and the free chips offered to us were not exactly the best but again, I can't complain since they were Free. To my surprise, the food was perfect! The enchiladas had a beef that fell apart so easily and they had a generous amount of meat. The food was not dry and had tons of flavor with every bite. I can not say enough great things about our first visit to Taqueria Don Taco. Me and my husband are both giving this place the credit they deserve, here on yelp. Nevermind the negative reviews. The place isn't as sketchy on the outside as a lot of people are claiming it to be, during the day. We walked in and immediately we were greeted by a really nice lady and service was professional. Dont judge the book by its cover.. Definitely try it for yourself! Again, this was only our first visit so I can't speak for ALL of the food but everything we had was well worth it! It was Flavorful, nostalgic, and all around a great experience. I would also like to add that today was Labor Day and they were open!

A lowwww two. The chilaquiles were not spicy not even a little kick the egg on top was weird I don't know how you can mess up an egg. The menudo is definitely from a can. But atleast the gave hand made tortillas so that was a plus. The salsas were mid not spicy the chips are from a bag. The tacos were passable. The service was good the girls were nice and helpful. The ambiance is nice it doesn't look dirty.
