3/5 stars. 3 out of five times that the store doesn't sell rock hard bread. Their roscas that they sold this year were also rock hard. I purchased two of them and they were both a bust. The menudo they make on sundays is good. Also the bread, when it's recently made, is delicious. You just gotta land on the right day

The cake we picked up was rock hard. Wanted to give them a call to ask when it was baked but the phone lines were out of service. The flavor seemed like it had potential a couple days earlier, no one ate it because it tasted old. We tried to support small business but ended up regretting not going the safe route with a grocery store cake instead.

I don't think I've ever purchased Mexican sweet bread from here but judging by the smell and thief abundance I'm sure they're delicious. Came here about a month ago for tamales and yesterday for a rosca de reyes and both times I was pleasantly impressed. I walked in and ordered a fresh dozen pork tamales. They had excellent flavor and good meat to masa ratio. Only wish beef had been an option. Very friendly service and nice they had them readily available and were hot. On Saturday I saw on FB that they were taking orders for rosca de reyes and to text them what I wanted. Within minutes of my text I got a response and the person on the other side suggested I get my rosca on Monday and it would be freshest. Monday after work I made my way and upon entering they were already six people deep. Thankfully they were all waiting for roscas to come out of the oven. Mine was off to the side, hot, waiting to be picked up. Took about 5-10mins to get through but I was on my way with my hot delight. I ordered a small blueberry cream cheese filled rosca. I've never had one so fresh. I normally get a super huge one filled with cajeta from Vallarta's that who knows how old it is. Unfortunately cajeta was not an option so I opted with blueberry cream cheese and i was not disappointed. It was amazing! Word to the wise, pre order to avoid the lines. Also be advised they place the baby Jesus inside the rosca. Vallartas has moved away from this probably to avoid choking hazards. They give you a 3-pack of baby Jesus's on the side. Upon arriving home I cut myself a slice and nearly cut baby Jesus's head off. What are the chances out of this entire rosca I not only get the baby Jesus, but I get him in the neck. Hopefully it's not a sign of the year ahead. Any who, the rosca was amazing and super glad I ordered ahead. Awesome little bakery with great service and amazing products.

The menudo is good. The tamales are good; my fave is the queso con rajas. They have good pan dulce too!

Family owned business. If you have cravings for something sweet, this is the spot! The pastries are much less processed and sugary than something that's widely available otherwise!! Could be more organized and updated which is bound to bring more business! Definitely recommend!

The best tamales in the valley! I'm a very picky eater and those tamales were so good I had to go back for 1 dozen. I'm so happy they are local.

The Pan Dulce was very soft and had plenty of flavor. While there, I also decided to try the chicken tamales. I gotta say that the tamales were some of the best I have ever had from a restaurant. I recommend both the tamales and bread. I will be trying something new when I return. My only regret is not taking a picture of the tamales.

Ever since my mother-in-law started feeding me Pan, I've been in love with Mexican pastries especially the sugar cones and pig shaped cookies, on a recent trip to Hanford, I made a quick stop at Tapatia Bakery #2 (not this one but the one on 10th street) however since they appear to be connected I will post my review here. First off the prices are very reasonable and the pastries were very fresh, the staff was very helpful and happy to be at work. So good cookies, great service and very friendly people make this a must visit location on your next visit to Hanford, CA

I love their bread!!!! They are open super early. My daughter wanted to take Mexican bread instead of cupcakes to school for her birthday and they were open early and friendly. It made her day and mine!
