Taco Grotto

Holy SMOKES!!!! That double cheese burger had me rockin and a rollin!!! They somehow missed my car in line while in the drive thru, so they gave me a large fry instead of a small. The burger was great, and to be quiet honest, this burger would probably be my top option for a last meal (if my auntie couldn't make her world famous gumbo). I mean HOLY TOLEDO!! This darn burger made me damn near cry it was so good. All in all it's the only good thing this small town probably has to offer, unless you want Pizza Factory.

I really like the tacos here. I call them "home" tacos, because they are like the ones I make at home: seasoned ground beef, shredded lettuce and cheese, tomatoes and a shell that is a fried corn tortilla; not a premade taco bell type shell nor a soft taco truck style. Don't get me wrong, I also love taco truck authentic style tacos, but I can get those all over the Valley.I usually get a couple or three when I have time to make the short detour passing through from 152. This last time I also got a bacon cheeseburger...I am glad I did! It was delicious! The bacon was crispy, the patty had a bit of char, the bun was toasted. The gentleman working there asked if I wanted sautéed onions and jalapeños, yes please! So yummy.

Not too bad. I'm not gonna lie. I had very very low expectations for this place, as I have had some terrible experiences with carne asada in small towns. Pork is my go to when mystery meat is suspected in a place like this, but I ended up getting the shredded beef tamale and asada fries. They were both very delicious, and mystery meat free. Very nice presentation on the food, with sour cream and fresh veggies on top. I'd say it's worth trying. I don't think you'll be disappointed. Minus one star for no carnitas. If you are called "taco grotto" you should have some bomb carnitas or al pastor for tacos. Not everybody likes beef or chicken all the time.

Great tacos, nachos, and burritos: JUST be aware of the ingredients. They put a LOT of jalepenos in some of their stuff. I love jalepenos, BUT I wasn't expecting it in a burrito I got. Spicy spicy. The burgers, on the other hand, could use a lot of work.

Ordered a side of beans and rice and got a ketchup container full of beans and rice.I always get that without problems until I got handed a bird size container.

These are the best burgers! I'll take them over any chain, anytime. I've been eating their burgers since I was a boy, and they haven't changed! The tacos are also very good. Crispy shell, fresh lettuce and tomato. Old school, but very tasty.

Worker was very rude, I was the only person in line and it took 20 minutes for my 10 chicken nuggets. I asked for ranch and did not receive it. 2 stars are for the chicken nuggets, would have been better with my ranch.

Had me waiting 20 minutes for an order of cheese fries they ran out of nacho cheese and didn't tell me. They sprinkled chopped up cheese and said they'd heat up cold cheese and couldn't refund my order! Also said they couldn't make anything else in exchange because they were "closing" but helped the rest of the new cars coming in!

Ordered carne asada tacos and made us throw up, took too long, and seats are ripped up.

Burgers are great,fries are overly salty. The older workers give free food to ppl they know like their family members. Not everything is fresh except the vegetables.But for the love of god DONT order a milkshake. The way they milkshakes.1) take a tub of ice cream out of the freezer2) put tub inside microwave and microwave3) scoop out icecream and put in blender, mix with milk4) serve freezer burn milkshake to customer
