What an amazing place, we have shopped here over the years and I am in awe every time we walk in. Such an adorable, down to earth, slice of Swedish and Scandinavian Culture. Truly a gem, here you can buy some several items from Sweden and neighboring countries and enjoy some delicious items along the way. We are huge fans of their lingonberry jam, and fresh local honey! What a wonderful place to enjoy and support a local business! Please make your next stop when trying to find that unique gift idea, books, decor, or delicious food from Europe or around the valley! You won't be disappointed! Välkommen!

This is the ONE reason I trundle off the Kingsburg at least once a year - although with COVID, it has been about 2 1/2 years! This place is the result of a lot of hard wok by June Olson Hess, who is arguably the Swedish heart of Kingsburg. She carries everything you can think of, from fresh cheeses and canned sweets to seasonings and foods, books, fabrics, magnets, mugs, household items and décor and Dala horses and Dala chickens, toys and crafts, and even some paintings done by a daughter and local honey canned by a son - and this is the first time I have seen honeycomb! Had to get some and try it. If you have any Nordic roots in you, you must swing by and reconnect with them. I have never found another shop like this for variety, and although I have yet to add photos (thanks to other Yelpers for doing that!) I just get overwhelmed in here and lose myself for an hour or so looking at so much stuff for Christmas and everyday gifts.Words can not do it justice - come see for yourself! And if possible come for the weekend of the Kingsburg Swedish Festival - make it a weekend getaway!

The only Swedish shop in town. I still recommend and luv this place but the prices are steep and the shopkeeper doesn't don a mask. I bought a couple of nice Swedish wooden Christmas ornaments. This shop is jammed pack with food, ornaments, candles, souvenirs, hand made crafts, and more. A definite must in Kingsburg Cal.

A lovely store owner who's parents immigrated to Kingsburg from Sweden works here. She carries stuff from the Nordic countries such as Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland, not limited to Swedish items. You'll find Wooden Dala horses , gnomes , St Lucia Day items such as wreath candles and books , tons I mean tons of books , clogs , food items , cookies , jams , Swedish pancake mixes , tea , Icelandic chocolate bars , Swedish cookies , mug cups , Xmas decorations, soaps , jewelries, magnets , just to name a few. The store looks small from the front but there's a back room and it's filled with Scandinavian items. It's such a fun store to explore.

June Hess has created such a wonderful shop of Swedish folk treasures and lovely imported merchandise for the shopper in a beautiful setting in downtown Kingsburg. Stop in and meet June and have a good time looking over her fabulous store. Many hard to find and truly rare craft items and food items are available for the Jul Holidays approaching. Enjoy !

I came across this shop while visiting the city's Swedish festival. It's a small place, but the items in here definitely make up for the space. They carry so much Scandinavian items such as wooden doll pieces, clothing, flags, books, music, cups and food. It's worth checking out.

We came to Kingsburg because we could see the signs saying Swedish town ahead. I love this store. The shopkeeper was lovely and there are treasures and every turn. She was kind enough to share with me the lovely story of the Dala horses that you see everywhere. I found a lovely milk jug that I fell I love with, and I don't even drink milk. And I got some cute ornaments and magnets as well. I wish I had little kids to buy books for because there were a ton of great children's book that I've never seen elsewhere that had themes like being a mushroom and other whimsical theme. There are handmade, man made and everything in between. If you want to learn the swedish language there were language books and activity books that would support that endeavor. Prices are reasonable. Please check this place out.

The perfect small-town shop for all things Swedish and Scandinavian. The shop, located in the heart of Draper St, is filled with genuine Swedish made clothes, wooden clogs, lovely home decor, wonderful specialty foods, cooking utensils, books, specialty candles, jewelry, and, of course, a large selection of hand-painted & authentic Dala horse figures. There are sections for select items from Denmark, Finland, & Norway, including food items, kid & adult books, cookbooks, travel books, video/DVD's, regional flags & decor, etc.. An array of Inspirational books, jars of the delicious Kingsburg Honey, and the super cool and handy Hinza bag are there in abundance as well. And, if you're interested in learning about the Swedish history of Kingsburg and surrounds, June, the shop owner, is a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. This is where I go to get my (Danish) fix and treasures! The vibe is that of a shop you'd find in Sweden but without the expense of airline travel. Great resource for Scandinavian gifts at very reasonable prices. Shop local!

One of the most nostalgic and charming little shops in California. The owner is a precious lady with stories for days! I could spend hours listening to the tales of this shop and the stories of the heritage of this great little jewel of a town. A quick stop off the 99 will not disappoint.
