RUDE!! Being new to Visalia, I was pleased to find this cute boutique with descent prices. I went in and got a shirt before leaving for a trip to Vegas the next day, and when packing up my suitcase I noticed on my receipt that I got charged an extra $10 for an additional item! I assumed that they charged me for the belt even though every shirt had the same belt and it did not have a price tag. After returning from my trip I went in to resolve the situation, and I was shocked to be treated so rudely by the staff! They questioned if I bought anything else because the belt came with the shirt and "belts are $13" After repeating that all I bought was the shirt, the gentleman who sold me the shirt to begin with took $10 out of the register and threw it on the counter and walked off with attitude. I am shocked and repulsed by their twist on"customer service"

I really like this boutique! I am kind of shocked at the bad reviews. I have been visiting this store every few months for the past few years. They have decently priced clothes and accessories. The quality of the clothes isn't great, but you get what you pay for. This place is perfect if you need a cute top and don't have time to shop at a bunch of different stores. The staff is always nice and friendly to me. I will for sure shop here again on my next visit to Visalia.

Sugar Plums has cute clothes and jewelry, so I have often gone shopping there with my daughter. However, we never feel comfortable there. The help is rude, lazy and clueless to their inventory. Several times we have been told they didn't carry something only to find it ourselves. The benefit that they backed out of just shows their true colors. They are not interested in being a part of the community in which their clients live. How horrible to cancel their involvement in a charity event to help families of special needs children. The girls in the fashion show were very disappointed. I could have easily gone into the store and chosen ten outfits for the show.....Shame on you Sugar Plums! Unless you are desperate for something you haven't been able to find elsewhere, shop somewhere else!

Come up to Visalia every couple of years and the last couple times stopped in at Sugar Plum's. Always so beautiful with lots of bling. Whoever does the merchandising does a gorgeous job.

Recently, there was a benefit fashion show in Visalia for a program for special needs children and Sugar Plums backed out 3 days before the show! Not to mention they went about it in a very rude and unprofessional manner. They claimed to "not need the show" because they get enough word-of-mouth advertising. They also claimed to not have enough inventory to send 10 outfits to the venue because they sell 30-40 outfits per day! I call BS on that one!!! No way some classless women's boutique sells that many outfits per day in this economy...not even on Main Street! I would recommend some other upscale, classier boutiques for your next shopping exhibition, like Claudia's Closet, Diva Chic, Stacy's Boutique, or Maurices (all of which are run professionally by very nice and helpful staff). This is my contribution to Sugar Plum's word-of-mouth advertising campaign...avoid this second-rate boutique and shop somewhere that has more class and integrity - a place that doesn't back out of a charity event at the last minute with no courtesy phone call or email!

If I had the option of not giving a star trust me they would not receive one. ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. I'm all about shopping local supporting the community but because of the rude service I will not be returning. And I'll go shop at a corporate store. The lady addressed me as if I was incompetent. If you want a business to be successful realize that you need to respect and value your customer. After all we do pay your paycheck. I didn't purchase one item that day due to the hostile environment. I drove my happy ass to porterville and bought the exact items I was looking at and for cheaper. If any sugar plums employees are reading this take this in the kindest way possible but take the stick out of your ass and gain some respect. Sincerely,A customer who will never be returning
