The new doctor was very polite snd helpful, unfortunately their frame selection isn't very good. However they were kind enough to let me use my own. I got a text Friday that my glasses were ready so I called to see if I could pick them up, they said it would have to be next week.

Long time patient of Dr. Lessley, Dr. Steed has now taken over practice. His bedside manner is good and his exams are thorough. Support staff is for the most part the same as before. I recently made an appt, took time off of work. When I showed up it turns out my appt. was cancelled because they were unable to confirm with either of the two numbers they have on file. No calls or messages were ever received on our end. No apology was given and frankly the front desk attendant seemed indifferent even after being informed that I had taken time off of work to come in. Truly disappointed and feel my time was not valued. As a result I'll be taking my business elsewhere. Though the service they provide is of good quality, what good is it if you can't depend on your appt. time being honored.

I followed Dr. Onald from Visalia Eye center to his new dig, Steed Family Eyecare. I totally think it us worth the extra few miles of drive. Dr. Oblad is wonderful bur the optical of the Steed Eyecare is so much better and more to offer it is so much more comfortable to get glasses fixed, adjusted. Overall it is a friendly Family oriented place.

I would not recommend this eye center. I used to go to Dr.Lessley when it was owned by him and he was such a nice guy, and never had any issues with billing. When I made my appointment they said Dr. Lessley had retired if I wanted to see one of the new doctors and I figured why not I knew Dr Lessley had nice eye exam stuff and I'm sure he would have sold to someone good. I had an appointment with Dr. Oblad and my eyes watered pretty much the whole time during the exam and I think I almost used a whole box of Kleenex. I never had an eye exam where my eyes did that and he made a smart comment and I just couldn't wait to get the exam over with. It was a horrible experience. When I received my glasses I told them they didn't seem right that something was off and when I went back in to see him to review my eyesight and glasses and he even said my eyesight was a little better than the time before which is probably because they were watering most the time. I tried telling my husband about my experience but he still wanted to get an appointment there because he liked it when it was Dr Lessleys so I booked him an appointment with Dr Steed instead because he seemed nice and friendly to his patients when I was looking at glasses. My husband gave the office lady both his insurance cards that have eye insurance on the back of the cards for both of them but they only billed his secondary eye insurance and charged him the rest. When I was looking at the paper work two months later I saw that his primary eye insurance wasn't billed so I called the office and spoke with Susan. She said well we didn't know he had two insurances and I said well he said he gave you both insurance cards and she said yes I do see that card scanned but you have to physically tell us you have two insurances. I said giving you the insurance card means he has insurance why else would he give it to you and why didn't they ask him or check eligibility or verify. I asked for it to be billed to the primary insurance she said she would find out if she could and call me back. Two days later and she still didn't call me back. So I called again and she said well I don't think we can I'll have to ask the Dr and call you back tomorrow. She called the next day and said it was too late to bill and that she wouldn't do it and I tried to tell her it was their fault for not billing the primary to begin with that it needed to be billed first she got all snappy and said she could send me the information needed so that I can bill them myself but she would not bill them. Three weeks later never received anything called the office again which was someone else I spoke to and she placed me on hold to ask Susan about the invoice/ paperwork and she couldn't even answer where it was sent to said she billed ins for me and never heard back but she would send me the paperwork I asked if it was going to be mailed she said they would send it to my husbands email I asked if it could be sent to my email and she said it will be sent to you with attitude and got off the phone. I checked my husband's email a few days later and still no invoice. I'm hoping this will help someone not have to go through the hassle that I am going through.

I followed Dr. Oblad from Visalia Eye Center since he'd been by eye doctor for years. This clinic was so much more relaxed, we had time to chat, and he did more tests because there was more time. I met Dr. Steed and hearing both of them talk about my case was wonderful, it felt like a team. The glasses center had great professional staff, quick and efficient, everyone was nice even though I was one of the last patients at end of a Monday. Highly recommend this clinic!
