The water is so clear!
So beautiful!!!
8.1.20- campsite #61. All campsites at Spring Cove need a canopy for shade. Partial shade only. Way too hot without the canopy!

Lots of shade, close to the lake, very clean and flushing bathrooms. A small creek runs through the camp. Remember to check in at the Bass Lake Recreation Area.

LOVE! So thankful we found this place, all of the other places we looked at were booked and then we stumbled onto this little hidden gem. We will be back next year for our annual camping trip!!!

Spring Cove is an awesome campground! We have camped there twice now and really enjoyed both trips. All the sites are walking distance from Rocky Point Cove, which is a day use beach/floating area with picnic tables(first come, first serve) and plenty of areas to tie up your blow up rafts or floaties. Millers landing is a nearby store, restaurant, ice cream shop and boat rental place.. would definitely recommend rentals through them. You get a discount for camping, which isn't offered at the other boat rental place across Bass Lake. As for the sites, site 45 does not look like the picture on campsite photos. There was a fire a few years back that dramatically changed the landscape of Bass Lake and the trees surrounding Spring Cove were cut down to reduce fire danger. There is little to no shade at site 45.46 is an awesome site and the picture doesn't do justice.. tons of shade and flat land. We had a group that got both 45 and 46 and we only had one neighbor and the sites are at the very back of the camp ground, which was nice since we were worried about sound. The second year we got sites 30 and 32.. great for groups but site 30 is overgrown with vegetation that isn't maintained by staff. Only about 2 areas for a tent and very small table area with no shade but worked out for a group setting because we put a table down there for games and things. 32 is a pretty cool site even though it is right next to the road, the table and fire ring are in a good spot and theres a little trail down to the tent areas that lies next to a small creek. Very nice and relaxing. We fit 2 pop up shade tents, corn hole, 2 additional tables for dishes and cooking and 8 chairs around the fire pit. Nice site.BEST SITES FOR GROUPS: 33 & 34 -all shady with some sun, practically right next to each other and lots of flat tent space.. if you want to add 32 to it and have three sites, it would be awesome because they are close together. 48 & 47 -48 is a smaller site but is very shady and would be perfect for the kitchen area. 47 is huge and a good tent site.. less shade.58 & 59 & 60-58 and 59 are very close together. 58 is smaller than 59 and 60.BEWARE SMALL SITES - 28, 29 & 31 - all three are practically right on top of each other and very small.. only can fit one large tent or two small ones. no additional tables or anything like that can fit. Great camp hosts! My only complaint is that some of the sites are very close to each other and some have landscapes that aren't maintained.. lots of plants on the sites that reduce tent space.

Looks nice but it has a sign that says "closed until May 2019". I'm going to assume they used an old sign and will be reopening in May of 2020.

Great little spot to camp. They have spaces for all sizes of campers and groups. The one thing I really like and appreciate are the clean bathrooms! The camp host does a great job at keeping them up. Seriously, they're really clean! The camp ground is super close to Millers landing where they have everything including eats, boat rentals and most importantly, ice! Great little spot and we'll surely be back again next year!

This is a fantastic location. Great campground. It was very clean and very well organized. The camp host Mathew McCabe was outstanding appeared to be constantly at work and readily available. A very attentive host, who clearly took great pride in his work.

This is a Very nice campground. We had site #45. Thankful to the lady who wrote a review about it stating little to no shade. I would not of known according to the government web site which states shade. Not anymore. So I was prepared for that. There was no shade at all in the morning or during the day but grateful at around 4:30 pm there was shade for the evening. This is a very private spot. The week we stayed was quiet and everyone was respectful of the quiet hours which seems to be hard to come by these days. I stayed at Wishon campground several years ago and it was extremely crazy loud so I definitely prefer Spring Cove Campground. It seemed much more peaceful or maybe it was just the week I was there.Site information:#43 is not reservable at this time. It is full of logs from all the dead trees from the campground. (trees seem to be dying all through out CA).#37 has shade all morning. It is close to restrooms but not too close#35 has shade all morning but direct sun in the afternoon. Pretty campsite in the morning. Could get 1 or 2 tents in this site.#39 lots of sun in the morning. I saw 3 or 4 tents set up in this site so its roomy. Close proximity to trash bins but not too bad.#46 good spot - Shade all morning, all day. Longer driveway compared to other sites. 1 large tent. Slightly private#44 good site especially if you want two sites add this one to #46 and you are good to go. There is shade in the morning but afternoon has some sun. #50 looks good from a distance I didn't walk by it though. Very private. Not sure about the sun or shade. May be a good spot if you have kids with you that want to ride bikes as there is a little roundabout driveway area all to yourselves.Restrooms clean. Really nice friendly camp host William.Hope this helps.

Clean campsite in a nice area. We had a fun weekend. Definitely worth a trip. It's located away from the park so you don't get a lot of traffic!A few places to stop nearby. Highly recommend!
