The entire fast food industry has changed a hell of a lot since I first reviewed this place. What was once an overpriced, mediocre place that I'd only go to occasionally for their specialty drinks has actually become one of of the few fast food places still worth going to.By now, it's no secret that you have to use the mobile apps at these places to get any kind of a deal. That's true here with the drinks, since you can get happy hour prices on drinks (half off) any time. The drinks here are still the star of the show- especially if you have the app which lets you customize them however you want. Their $1.99 menu is surprisingly decent though, and that can be ordered from without using the app. The double cheeseburger here is better than the one at McDonald's if you use the app to add onion and tomato (no additional charge) and their bacon ranch queso wraps are surprisingly good. Rounding out the $1.99 menu are tots and the chili cheese dog, which at least are different offerings from other fast food places.To sum it up, you still want to come here primarily for the drinks, but Sonic has adapted to inflation better than other drive thru restaurants and is probably the most consumer friendly of them all now since dollar menus became extinct.

When you order with NO ICE & they give you half a cup of ice... 25 mins. after ordering... why does our son insist on coming back?! Well, 1-2 times making mistakes, shame on them. 7 times? Shame on ME and My three dogs! We are going to have to find a new place for strawberry lemonade. We've picked up one from a pseudo taco joint that was 4 times better but a dollar more. At least we won't be disappointed.

If there was any way to leave a NEGATIVE 5 star review, this would be one of the few, and only times that I have ever gone to the extent to express myself. So this is very legit and sad ... so listen up.... First, let me clarify that this is not about Sonic corporation - we love their food and drinks. This problem is with this specific location and owner.I do not know how this owner-franchisee has managed to stay in business with the horrendous customer service, and extremely poor training that this Sonic location provides. He has received nonstop complaints from students, parents, and teachers in this area, and he never changes or does a single thing to improve. Our organization, family kids, and I, all really love Sonic food and drinks. So this is not a complaint about general Sonic products. It is specifically about THIS location & THIS owner .... and its horrendous employees and management team. It's very important to know the difference. And it's sad that corporate Sonic doesn't have a discipline program to get this franchisee in line.Over the last year, they have made many mistakes with filling orders, honoring mobile orders, forgetting items in the food bag, refusing to provide condiments as paid for or required by corporate policy, & on and on. Little mistakes that keep adding up one by one by one. It's like death by 1 million paper cuts. Every business makes mistakes and stuff happens... That's not unusual. But it's how you handle them that makes all the difference and keeps customers happy and coming back. This location does the reverse.Every single time we have tried to get a manager to address the issues, but are usually met with a very nasty response or disrespectful behavior. One time the rep said they would call the manager and we sat in the car and waited 15 minutes and no one ever came out. When we went knocking on the window, they claimed that there was no manager currently working. Hiding or lying is what they did! How unprofessional...One horrendous employee we have had multiple issues with and filed multiple complaints about is named Mario - he takes the cake every time. He is rude, nasty, and belligerent - and that's an understatement. Many different people have complained about him. Yes, somehow he still employed. We don't know how this guy is still employed after being so nasty and disrespectful to customers. One teacher guest that they must be related to the owner and it's a mercy job or something lol Things got so bad that several parents and teachers and even students started complaining to Corporate. So over the last six months Corporate has been inundated with complaints after complaints about this location. So what does Corporate do?Unfortunately, nothing..., Corporate has a very poor response procedure and all they have done is "forward the messages to the franchisee owner," who happens to be absentee or incompetent, and never responds. You would think that after so many complaints, someone would say we need to train our employees to provide better customer service. Nope. Not at all. So if you are one of the lucky ones that can tolerate bad customer service, constant screw ups, and disrespectful treatment and behavior... You can keep coming to THIS Sonic. In the meantime, our group will continue to try to make a difference and change the dynamic of this particular Sonic. we will continue to file complaints and take the time to drive to the other Sonic that has better customer service. We figured enough complaints will one day inspire them to care and to change.And this is only a small summary of what's been going on with this Sonic over the last year...

Highly recommend retraining employees in customer service. Since phone is disconnected, I could not reach anybody to help me. The drive thru person deliberately ignored my order, 2 slushees. So I came to the door to question the issue. The manager had no communication skills and when she was asked for her name, she dodged the question. Her solution was to call Clovis PD instead. I'm hopeful the owner of this location will wisely take the time to properly instruct his employees, most especially in taking responsibility for their error and actions. The prideful and improper attitude currently associated with his representatives is shameful.

I ordered 1 slushie and it's been over 30 minutes. The girl inside is joking around on the speaker being obnoxious and saying stupid jokes. Mind you, it's dead. No line, not busy, just straight lazy workers screwing around. Why is this dude mopping for 20 minutes when your screen is full of red. Maybe instead of fucking around they should do their job. Get these kids out of here.

Today, 2/27/25, I took my grandsons to the drive through and ordered 2 fries and 2 drinks. I specifically ordered 2 groovy sauces as in the past there have not always been groovy sauces when I ordered them. I waited 15 minutes (which is unusual as I was the second driver in line) and heard loud voices inside while waiting. There was only one groovy sauce in the bag and I said to the young girl in a disgusted voice,"I specifically ordered 2 groovy sauces to go with 2 fries." She said,"NO you are not getting another because you are disrespecting me." I asked to speak to the manager to which she said, "I am the manager." She eventually gave me the sauce but with attitude. She is a very poor representative for your business.

Sonic corporation needs to evaluate the manager and their staff! There is fraudulent activity going on at this sonic. They charge different prices then what is listed on their signage and app. When you ask them about it they immediately yell at you, are extremely rude and unprofessional. They do not give receipts which is a red flag. They will keep the customers card for a long time. Without a receipt its hard to dispute the difference in charges they tell you and what actually appears on your bank statement. WILL NOT RETURN UNTIL NEW STAFF IS HIRED! Horrible do not good to this sonic they are criminals

If you're the owner of this business, you need to fire everybody. look at your reviews. The girl that is taking orders through drive through is very impatient and rude. I was trying to inform her that the space that I was in for 20min isn't working and should have a sign up to which she said we already did don't know what to tell you with an attitude and gave me my card back and shut the window in my face. Then I decided to go have a conversation with her and said that I'm not sure what is going on in your life and I'm sorry you're not having a good day but that's no reason to treat a customer like you did and I politely ask her for her name and she said you can just leave and then slam the door in my face and locked it. If this gets to the owner it was Thursday January 16 at 5:50pm and she was a short thick Mexican girl I would have put her name but she didn't give it to me. I will no longer go to this place ever again.
