What a great experience for a winery up the road! I have been to a few wineries around the world and this one hits the spot for being comfortable and welcoming. The wine, the music, the people were amazing. The service was so professional. We were able to bring our pups and drink wine. The live music was outside and there was plenty of seats to go around. I think this place is great for groups and gatherings. Price point was super affordable. Parking was not an issue. Overall, I would come back for good wine, great vibes, and amazing memories!

This place could be so much more!We were "greeted" at the front with a list of things that we cannot do lots of empty tables to the right, but we were told they were all reserved and you could only do wine tasting in that area. Later, we learned that you can do the tasting for $15 but if you buy a bottle of wine, the tasting fee is waived but we were never told that. We asked to be seated to the left and the woman hymned and hawed about what she can't do again. Once we were finally seated the table was filthy dirty. It was cleaned off and we were told that the waitress would be right over after 20 minutes of waiting. We got up and got our own bottle of wine. We had finished our first glass when the waitress finally showed up And asked if she could get us anything. We were never offered a menu and We never saw her again There was a guy making Woodfire pizzas there and it was kind of plain. The dough was gummy even though it was supposed to be pizza Margarita, it was basically a cheese pizza with a hint of basil. We will definitely bring our own food if we go again

Such a cool winery! It's beautiful both indoor and out! The wine selection was delicious oh my goodness. The staff were so fun and had their own tips and tricks on how ti elevate the experience. The charcuterie board was lackluster for the price, so I suggest bringing your own food. They do have a small dog that roams inside. I personally am not a fan of dogs around food / beverages, but rolled with it. I just had a problem with the staff picking up the dog at our table. You could literally see the dog hair flying around and landing on the table. That for me was a no.Otherwise everything was good. We had great conversation with the servers and the owners, we were chatting all day long! The prison cell was also super cool to check out.

We had a great visit to Solitary Cellars the day after Christmas. I've only been wine tasting in the Fresno area a few times, and I've never been as blown away by the selection or service as I was at Solitary Cellars. They are a prison themed winery, so most wines had "fun" jail-themed names. We learned quite a bit from the names alone!Tastings give you four wines to try for $15/person. Waived if you buy a bottle. The wine was so good we ended up buying four bottles! The vineyard cats add a nice ambiance along with the large windows in the indoor tasting room overlooking vineyards and mountains. There is an on-site museum that features real contraband from prisoners. Cool touch to the theme. Can't wait to come back.

Initially we thought this spot had 2 wineries as Google was not aware of the update from the old place to Solitary Cellars. We drove up and saw that there was just the one but equally excited to stop and had tastings with Brandon. He was so lovely to chat with regarding the wine, the history and also about the on-site kitties. The location was so beautiful and serene I thought we were on a resort somewhere else. The tasting room was well lit and beautifully decorated. I love all the reference to prison/convicts... personally a fan and loved the little museum they did on the property. (If you're also interested in stuff like this, I'd recommend visiting Alcatraz in San Fran, The Mob Museum in Vegas and Museum of Colorado Prisons in Canon City... yes, see a theme here?)I really loved the rose and the syrah, so happy that Brandon gave us a small sample of that syrah and got me hooked. Brandon was so great to work with and just such a lovely person to chat with during our visit. So happy to also being able to pet the 2 resident kitties, such a lovely winery and would highly recommend a quick visit to this location. One of the few places that's open during the weekday... Thanks Brandon for taking care of us!

Nice winery in the Fresno area. It was hard to find a winery open on a Friday and we were lucky to find this one.Had a bottle of their Evasion rosé, and it was very good. I was told that the owners are former corrections officers. All of their wines have a prison-type theme to them. They even have a little museum on site with items confiscated from prisoners - it was very interesting.

Had a chance to visit Solitary Cellars for a little wine tasting and it was really enjoyable. Service was 10/10, and ambiance was cute, charming, laid back and happy. Kind of went here on a whim and it ended up being really pleasant. I recommending the $15.00 each wine tastings and walking around the winery down to the river. It's really beautiful and the wine was really good. We ended up buying a bottle of wine. Thank you Solitary!

Came here from out of town and let me tell you the wines are good. Usually on a flight of red or white 2/5 are good we all enjoyed the reds 4/5 and the whites 3/5 ( not a white wine fan) we ended up buying 3 bottles. David i believe his name is did a great job explaining the wines and his service was great. Oh the Charcuterie was good as well.Wish we were closer to buy wine more often from them.
