Shorthorn Bar and Grill

Really great service, food and vibes! So happy we visited and had the best time. We sat at the bar, and DeeDee took very good care of us, serving ice cold beers and preparing our tasty meal. Ordered a Shorthorn burger, Tots, Hot Wings - all perfectly cooked, seasoned. Met some very nice folks, while listening to some classic tunes. You need to stop by & be sure & check out their merch!

Great vibes with locals and visitors to share stories and laughs and play pool together. The awesome & friendly & popular bartender Dee Dee suggested beer Double Barrel Ale, and I ordered burger and jalapeño poppers, which are all fantastic yum! Come during the week if you can, as the weekend can get very busy.

The bartender (Cece or Kiki) not sure of her name was constantly smoking outside and when we did call her for more drinks she helped her regulars out first and made us wait till last. She let people add drinks on to our tab. When we told her about it she was rude saying "I've been having to deal with u people all nite". I assume she was talking about because I'm Mexican. Then she told me I"I could go f$&@ myself and to leave her bar. One of the worst experiences I've had at a bar. And one of the worst bartenders to ever serve me a drink

Bomb food and service!! Best burgers in town. Came all the way from Stockton and never disappoints!

Awesome vibes, COLD beer, and great food ! Small hidden gem in shaver, if your into dive bars this is a great stop after a day on the lake.

Started off with excellent service from Alex. This place was slammed when we got here. Ordered drinks and the hand battered onion rings. The onion rings were on point and the best I've had since I can remember.Sorry for no pic of the onion rings. They were so good we didn't even think about taking a picture before they were gone.I personally thanked Matt who made them. Yes, they were that good.Did I mention the live band MKC who killed it the whole time we were there?Alex took care of us the entire evening and kept the drinks flowing with a smile. If you are looking for a great time in Shaver Lake onbthe weekend, any weekend, this is your spot.

I wish I can put 0 stars. This spot is freaking horrible. I wish I can put the other F word but I can't. As soon as we got there the attitude was nasty. When we started ordering food the older white man said "you couldn't do it when it was both of us" with a nasty attitude while the other bartender was outside smoking (I think her name was DD). She then came in and had a nasty attitude with us. We just closed out and left. All the locals were treated very nice though! As an army veteran I don't make anything about race because I think it's BS but this was something else. (Yes I'm Mexican and so were the rest of the people with me so do as you please with the information given)

Best burgers in town. Ricky and Erin throw it down. Good food and good vibes. Definitely a great spot to check out and grub and have some drinks

Nice place but the bartender was a bit too combative and she was on the aggressive side we had to leave cause it felt unsafe..we won't be coming back. A genuinely Sad night because shorthorn has been a staple of our monthly shaver trip to our cabin down the road. Cheers!
