well there's definitely a preferred clientele. expect "aggressive hospitality" or outright indifference to your presence. things ain't cheap there and don't send your teens there unsupervised.

Keep in your own town!, go see Andy, he will stand on his head to make your shoe buying experience the best ever. If he has not got it, he can probably get it, why not give the local guy the chance to keep your money in our own town! He the owner is a stand up guy!

I bought a pair of work boots there and with in 2 hrs of wearing them the inside of the boot seems came undone and started cutting both of my heals. I went in and showed the owner and he told me all deals are final. And I was a grown man and should have known this would happen. It was a defective pair I showed him the cuts on my heals, he told me he was going out of business and it wasn't his problem. So save your money and don't buy from him, he is trying to unload his inventory at all costs.

My daughter came down and wanted some new Van's but Shoe Shak was closed so we ended up at the new Van's store off of 99 and Herndon Ave. I would have liked to buy local but ended in Fresno and bought 6 pairs of Van's for her to bring back to the east coast........sorry Shoe Shak.......you snooze you loose :-(

I absolutely love this place the customer service is awesome they fitted my son fir the right fit of shoes they put them on him and made sure they fit perfectly with a little room to grow of course I wish all stores had this kind of customer service

I've never shopped for shoes here before and figured I'd stop on by for some sandals and a pair of tennis. I walked in and wasn't greeted which immediately turned me off. I started browsing and not once did the 2 girls working there greet or ask if they could help me. I was the only customer there, it wasn't like they were busy. I thought this place was like "Footwear Etc" in the Bay Area where I'm always greeted and helped promptly. I left without spending anything. I'll continue shopping elsewhere.

Very very upset purchasing shoes at Shoe Shack in Madera Ca. After purchasing nike shoes and walking out with them on, the owner" Andy " never mentioned anything about a return policy. After I had the shoes on for about 30 minutes my feet were hurting and burning, so I knew these shoes weren't going to work for me. So the next day I brought them back expecting a refund, well not the case. He said he would not refund me my money nor would the company take them back, because they had a little dirt on the bottom from being worn outside. He was happy to take my hard earned money but a real jerk about not understanding that the shoes were not going to work for me. I did nothing but wear them for about 30 minutes. That's so wrong to take advantage of people like that. That's $65 I don't have now to find shoes that are the fit and comfort I need. I will NEVER do business there again and I WILL pass this on to everyone I know. DO NOT DO BUSINESS THERE, YOU MIGHT GET TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF.
