Haven't been to the Selland Area in over 20 years. Attended our first Disney On Ice: Frozen & Encanto (Opening night/Thursday). Wasn't quite sure what to expect but we had a great time. I'm a huge Disney Fan and my daughter is my mini Disney Fan in the making and enjoys watching both Frozen and Encanto so I felt it was the perfect opportunity to go. Bought tickets via ticket master a month in advance and got lounge seats. The day of the event we arrived about 30-45 mins prior to the 7pm show. Traffic was light to moderate and we parked in their parking garage $25 per vehicle. Prior to attending the event I looked at their policy on what was permitted in the arena. It stated that bags are subject to be checked and no outside food/drink allowed. So I only brought a small bag with my daughter's necessities. Security was a bit unorganized they tell use to keep moving through the metal detectors but then tells us to stop randomly like completely it was strange and holding up the line for no reason and I felt they didn't do a great job they didn't even search our bag and many others. When we got our tickets scanned we decided to get some food to snack on. As expected food was over priced and not good. We ordered a hot dog meal (drinks and chips included), pretzel ($2 extra charge for cheese dip), churro and candy ($6). We spent a alittle over $30 for food and it definitely was not worth it. The pretzel and churro was hard and dry. The lady on the concession stand was nice but think she was getting confused with our orders. I had to correct her on one of the items she was trying to charge us with. They also have souvenirs I got my daughter an Olaf cup that came with shaved ice and it was $25. After getting our food we were looking for our seats which was an even number section. Apparently we had entered on the odd number side seat and so we walked to see if we could go around but it was a dead and we saw a worker and asked for directions but he wasn't clear he told us we would have to go around... ummm obviously but he wasn't specific enough. If we left and went outside the building they might have re-scan our tickets it just didn't make sense. So I just decided to enter the odd side seat entrance and go from there. Ended up seeing our seat section number and decided to walk straight across the arena rather than walking around which would have been a further distance. The seats were also confusing as the Section names were not visibly labeled. We ended up sitting in the wrong section and then got help to find our right seats. The lounge area was really comfortable there was a table infront of us and the leather seats were a bit worn out and tearing but they were really comfortable and cup holders were also accessible. I thought they were the perfect seats with a great view. I loved that there were so many restrooms near by and they were clean. Overall the show it self was amazing my toddler, my husband and I had a great time. Customer service and security might need alittle work. And perhaps a little upgrade on the torn seats. But I would return for another event.

A mess. The event was a mess. Not one cop or traffic director guiding traffic or parking. 5 different directions of traffic and it was a mess! It was quick to get in. The vendors I appreciate. The food was reasonably priced. But it was more of a madhouse than anything. We had to go to 5 different security to find our floor seats b/c no one knew where to go. I just felt like there was no control over this Arena from the staff. I don't see me ever returning to this cluster of crazy ever again. It was pure nonsense and madness. People were literally getting out of their cars and walking. This was for the Valentines Event with Ashanti, Next, Niveah, Baby Bash, and Joe.

Went to an oldies concert and had to leave early. The speaker system is actually so insane in the worst way. The voices and songs were so incoherent and damn near almost broke the sound barrier. Definitely needs to readjust and look up an appropriate decible fit for an arena that size. It was a smaller venue and it does not need speakers meant for a MLB field. They need to fix this before I start a class action lawsuit for hearing damage. Im serious. Insane, inappropriate, and unsafe.

Attended Disney on a Ice here with my wife and daughter. This venue definitely needs some upgrades, but it serves just fine for large events. We sat in the lower balcony, and the seats were comfortable enough. There are a couple rows of leather seats on the balcony sides for those willing to splurge. The bathrooms are conveniently located and clean enough for a sporting venue, but the concourse feels really cramped, and both could really benefit from a face-lift. Seating arrangements make it easy to see the main event from just about anywhere without feeling far away, and the sound quality was pretty good. Saroyan and Save Mart Center are probably preferable, but this place is serviceable.

Venue is really crowded. The "brain trust" decided they could get more butts in the seats and increase their profit margin by adding more folding chairs. These people are worse than Delta Airlines with their crowded seating. You can buy VIP tickets but you will still end up in a folding metal chair with 100 other VIP ticket holders trying to see a concert. Sometimes they end up selling seats that don't exist and have the audacity to blame the entertainment company for the set up. The folks working to check tickets and seating are a lot worse than TSA agents. All these folks need to get better at their job is a rubber glove. Ladies, don't even think of taking in a purse or anything larger than a 4 by 6 inch clutch purse. They will refuse your entry. You do have the option of taking in a see thru plastic bag/purse but you had better not be modest because everyone can observe what you have so leave medications, suppositories, monthlies at home. If your doctor schedules you for a colonoscopy, you can save some money by attending a function at this venue. If you have a small bladder or prostate issues, don't wait in line. If you have back pain, don't get in line because the rigid gate keepers will NOT let you use the restrooms and there are none outside the venue unless you have time to walk a fair distance.

I have been to the Selland Arena twice in my life and I have never realized how tiny this spot is compared to the Save Mart Center. I've gone here for the iHeart Radio festival back in 2013 or 2014 which was a lot of fun!Recently I had the opportunity to come to Selland Area as my dad wanted to treat all the girls especially my nieces (his grandchildren) to Disney On Ice. I purchased the tickets on the same day of the event as I found out about it at a taco shop in Madera as they had $5 off the ticket sales.Fortunately we were a lot to get Balcony seats for 5 tickets for $190 which is not bad at all. The Balcony seats were amazing as we got to see the full show and felt like we were close to the event as it did not call for any of us to Squint. My nieces really enjoyed the show and my dad fell asleep through the show. They had a small intermission in which we were able to buy snacks and drinks for the kids.I absolutely love Disney on Ice as every little girl can relate to one of the Princesses it was so nice to sing all the Frozen songs with my nieces and just be in the moment with them and the family.Parking I have to say was a breeze! My dad and I got close parking which was nice since it was pouring cats and dogs. The check in was fast...typical security protocol. No complaints or bad experiences. My family and I had such a great time here!

Been here for a college graduation and it's a nice size arena with good seats and easy navigation. The Ceremony was well organized and sound system very clear. They hold events here from Concerts to Indoor Football and Soccer and your ticket box office in the front.Did you know it was named after a former Fresno mayor Arthur L. Selland? There is a parking garage or street parking. Nice Arena Fresno !

We come here mainly for shows to entertain the Kids. I think they provide Ice for the shows here at this Arena and they don't at the Save Mart Center. So far we've seen Disney on Ice and Wrigley's Circus Show5, and both shows were spectacular , with lots of Ice Skating Grace and Stunts . Kids loved both shows and I'm sure we will be coming back soon to watch more events.Parking is very convenient and close. Located Downtown Fresno right off highway 41.

Jan 28 we purchased the Disney on Ice tickets for six. The show was great!the kids really enjoyed it. The only reason I gave it a 3 star rating was due to the food we purchased. Popcorn, pretzel and nachos. they were so stale that we couldn't even eat it a waste of money. When you go eat before hand. would definitely take kids to other Disney on ice shows but will not purchase anything but drinks.Fresno, Ca. Selland Arena

Horrible nom existent customer service for customers with special needs. Unable to reach a human by phone(called 3 times now), 3 emails, and a Facebook message to inquire about obtaining handicapped seating for a family member.
