Scissor Hands Salon

I found this place on Yelp. I had an hour of spare before work and they were able to accommodate a last minute appointment. It was my first time to this salon so I was a bit nervous but as soon as I talked to the staff and saw the cleanliness of this place, I felt more comfortable. The young lady that did my hair was very welcoming and had a great time talking to her. She was diligent, helpful, and made sure I was comfortable with any changes in my hair cut. My hair needed some good trimming and wanted some styling. She was able to deliver and loved the way she styled my hair. Definitely becoming a regular and thinking of making a hair color appointment for highlights soon. I'll keep y'all posted for that!

I've been coming to this place since 1998 and they have never done my curly hair wrong. I have had my hair highlighted colored here at this finest establishment and they have never ever done my hair wrong! I cannot reiterate that enough I have been to other salons when I moved away for college. I have always had trouble with people not understanding how to cut my hair. I have an interesting mix of fine curly hair. And I love my curls and this place is so good about bringing out my ringlets give this place a try if you're a curly haired queen or king.

Good haircut at a great price! I called and scheduled for an appointment on a Monday since they were booked out on Sunday. When I arrived Monday afternoon, there was no wait, actually, no one at all. The woman who cut my hair was very sweet and talkative. I asked for a bob cut at shoulder length, and while she listened to what I wanted, I had to ask her to cut shorter and to add in layers. After the cut was done, she straightened my hair & slicked it, which isn't the look I wanted (i want volume). Anyways, for $25, I have minimum complaints!

When I say that I trust this salon, I mean it! Everyone is so nice and personable. I'm a college student and I don't get my hair done very often, but I actually had to get a color correction done by Lorena. I originally went to a popular high end salon in the Clovis area (don't wanna name drop but they moved to a new location so I'll let you figure it out from there lol) to get some highlights done and they completely butchered my hair. I have attached a picture of what it looked like before and after. If you haven't already done so, please visit this salon, they're so nice and I love the cleanliness!! Thank you so much Lorena! P.S. For the negative reviews, you guys have to understand that you can't go blonde in one session, especially if you've had previous dye jobs in your hair/or have super dark hair.

I haven't had a full service haircut since I moved to this area 4 years ago so I looked up salons on Google. Scissor Hands got good reviews so I tried it last week. Lorena listened to what I wanted and cut it just the way I like. I was very happy and will definitely continue to go there in the future. My haircut was just $30. A great deal!

Asked for a 2in trim and hair to be thinned out a bit and my hair came out SO BAD!!! The ends are very choppy and my hair is uneven. I went back a second time and got it cut by TWO different "hairstylists" and it still came out bad. The hairstylists could not get even the simplest haircut right. Would not recommend to anyone. I thought no one could get even the simplest haircut wrong but I was wrong. Very upset because I have my senior pics coming up soon and my hair looks botched. My hair 2 weeks ago and my hair NOW!!!

Finally, found Joseph!!! HeListens, he's patient, he's honest and most of all, he's very meticulous with every strand he trims!

Gf asked for layers and showed a reference picture of only the back and for some reason cut her bangs almost all the way off. On top of that her bangs were uneven she was extremely upset.

Called for an appointment the morning of. Asked if they took walk ins said to come at 130 and still ended up waiting 30 min.
