Service was great. Ambiance is what you'd expect from a place like this. ORDER:Khao Piak (extra chicken): Noodles were soooo good, thick & chewy. Chicken was tender, juicy dark meat. Soup was flavorful. Some crunchy fried garlic would level this up!Kao Boon Red Curry Chicken Soup: Good flavor & nicely spicy w/out being too spicy. Tiny eggs were creamy & delicious. Addition of shredded cabbage was good. Noodles were tender & kept on the side. Chicken was good but all the bones are a bit of a pain. Not into the blood chunks (just not my thing; you may love it). Fried Rolls: Standard. Good. Spring Rolls: Good & nicely filled. I prefer mine w/mint inside too tho. Peanut sauce was excellent (thick & peanutty). Really happy we tried her again (tried not long after she opened but she didn't have most of what we wanted). Just hope she settles on the menu & has everything available in the future. Good food, try her & you won't be disappointed!

Entered through the main "express market" door. The place was nice, small, and clean. The greeting was friendly. I ordered eggrolls, papaya salad (mild), kapoon, and roasted coconut drink. Luckily, I stayed to eat on site because she forgot my eggrolls. The eggrolls weren't as fresh as I'd hoped they'd be, but they were still good. The coconut drink was refreshing as usual and complimented the meal very well. The papaya salad had a nice crunch, flavorful, and delicious. I asked for a side of peanuts for more taste and texture. The kapoon had good flavors, but as soon as you added the cold noodles and nicely shredded toppings, the liquid also became lukewarm and wasn't as tasty. They were kind enough to "shred" the chicken for me. Otherwise, as in some pictures I've come across, it's whole, like a drumstick. Overall, I'd come back for the papaya and maybe try their other food items.

I was really excited to try this place because I had tried Sandy's sausage at RN supermarket and it was delicious. We went into the shop which is connected to the gas station store.Their menu was quite extensive for a pick n go kind of store. We ordered sausage and sticky rice, chicken and sticky rice, Lao papaya, and Lao sandwich. My favorite dish was the chicken it had a slightly sweet flavor to it which I enjoyed. Second fav dish was the sausage. I didn't like the papaya at all; it was missing something although I couldn't pinpoint what. The Lao sandwich was alright. I probably wouldn't be going back but do encourage people to try it at least once. I do really like their sausages and will continue to buy the frozen ones at RN.

I love that they have green Thai tea, super delicious! They kao piak broth is so bomb, I would say one of the best broths in town. Tastes authentic. Kinda skimpy on the noodles but the broth makes up for it. I wasn't a fan of the banh mi. Price point low key kind of pricey haha. They also offer party platters/ catering any time, you would just call in advance. Lady who helped us was friendly. I like how it's connected to the gas station so you can just go across the hallway and purchase anything else you'll like from the store.

Heard about this place so decided to stop by to support small business. Walked in and it was clean with a couple table seatings and seatings along the wall. Decided to order papaya salad, red curry kaoboon, Thai tea and a combo Vietnamese sandwich. Starting off with the papaya...papaya could have been better. It lacks flavor from the sauce. Kinda disappointed. Now onto to the kaoboon, originally I had thought that they would serve you with a bowl so you can eat inside the restaurant since they had seating but instead, they give you a separate bowel for the broth and a plastic bad full of noodles and the condiments. After putting the noodles and condiments inside the bowel of red curry broth, it made the curry cold which I dislike cause I like to eat my kaoboon hot. Now, onto the sandwich. The sandwich was good. Taste like every other place but I would say they ain't shady with the paste. Wish it would have more cilantro and daikon.

I'm glad to finally have another hot food Togo place on this side of town. AC deli is my usual go to but it's a bit out of the way for me. This place is just as good, maybe even better? She just opened her full menu isn't available yet, but she has a lot on her menu.Sausage & rice: Sandy's chili is already known for her sausages. She delivers frozen sausages all over California. They're so good. (5/5)Chicken & rice: it's your standard chicken and rice. Nothing really stands out about it. But it's good. (4/5)Nam khao: it's good but could use a bit more salt for me. (4/5)Thum kapoon: I love thum kapoon, not every does it. But whenever they do it I always order it. Her thum is tasty. Could use a littleeeee more salt but nothing you can't fix.(4/5)Baked eggs: delicious. Tastes like home (5/5)Banh mi: I got both Vietnamese style and Lao style. Both so good. If you like a little more spicy get the Lao version. It has pork floss and spicy sauce. But the bread is where it's at. It doesn't tear up the roof of your mouth. Iykyk. Soft and crunchy at the same time. (5/5)Overall it's delicious. I will definitely be coming back. I can't wait for her to add the other stuff to her menu.

Omg one of thee best banh mi's I ever had!!! I got the lao style. It was my first time having it that way. Told dude to make it extra spicy for me!!! Ig what makes it different is they add the pork floss and spice. Honestly it wasn't overpowering wit heat. But the taste was there. He hooked it up wit the chili oil!! I could taste nearly everything in it separately! The meats, the mayo, the pate, the pickled veggies, the cucumber! Chefs kiss! Could probably use more cilantro but other than that, it was bussin!! The pork floss was neither here or there. It wasn't as present with each bite. It's ok tho cus the whole dang sandwich was still good!! I opened it up and seeing the chili oil trail was a good sign for me. Almost like someone seeing grease stains on a brown paper bag coming from a REAL Philly cheese steak (shout out fresh prince of bel air lol) Ik some of yall mfs prolly like ew that's gross, but hey! My sandwich, my stomach, my preference!! It was fire. The crunch on the bread was also a good texture. I didn't get no hard bread or nothing too soft. It was perfect for my braces havin ass. They cut the sandwiches in half and I usually save one side for later but this time I didn't even bother, I just ate the whole thing in one sitting lol it was that good!

Service: They were very nice. They opened just a month ago. (I thought i met the owner, but it wasn't, sorry)Their pricing for Lao food is one of the most fair pricing I've seen. If you're in this general area and don't want to go to Shaw or Olive, they have sticky rice and chicken or sticky rice and lao sausage. I got my husband eggrolls. I got myself the Lao sandwich (lao style banh mi) and I got us nam khao (double fried rice) to share. I can't say anything about the eggrolls because I did not try it. Sandwich- Good size for 7.99. It was good, except it was not as spicy as i had hoped. It looked like they had pork floss in other photos, but I didn't taste any in mine. Nam Khao- Ready to go. I wasn't a fan of it. Sorry, but pricing was fair at 5.99. I do want to return for the sticky rice and lao sausage since she is known for her lao sausage as well as their papaya. They are not right in the middle of the gas station. They actually have their own wing with seating.

10/25/24Hot and New! Must try! Getting lunch! I had issues calling it in in, but they have it to where you can order through Clover. Convenient! I ordered the Khai Piak chicken noodle soup and shrimp spring rolls. Paid for it on Clover & went to pick it up. Arrived. It's right next to Express Mart & 76 gas station. Small wait and greeted by kind worker. Let her know the number to call in wasn't working. Wrong number on Yelp. She appreciated me letting her know and the order was handed over.Lunchtime! Khai Piak chicken noodle soup1/2 with the spicy sauce included was Really Great. Spicy with a good amount of chicken & thick, tasty noodles! Shrimp spring roll was Great too! Fresh & tasty and even better with the dipping sauces included!Mother Saadi her half was Great! She loved the thick noodles & thought the shrimp sprung rolls were Great too! Definitely enough to split. Good service & GREAT lunch!Highly recommended!!

Second time here and I tried the LAO style sandwiches. Sandwich was $7.99 and a huge portion. Fair warning however, that thang was SPICY! Lao people don't play when it comes to spice ! The bread also is nice and soft and didn't cut the roof of your mouth like other banh mi places. Service was a lot better this time, more knowledgeable front desk girl. Everyone greeted with a smile. Good down home lao fast food. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. Will go back for sure
