Salt And Pepper Taqueria

Loved their chicken burrito. Wife and were staying across the street and wanted some good quick Mexican food. I enjoy chicken burritos on a regular basis and am a huge fan of Taquerias and locally owned establishments. They did not disappoint. The grilled cheese on the outside of the burrito just topped off a very tasty meal.

Came to Salt and Pepper Taqueria on a whim for dinner and the SO and I are completely WOW'd by this hole-in-the-wall! Located in the same parking lot as Costco in Turlock, Salt and Pepper serves amazing Mexican food. I really wished we walked into these doors earlier in life! This is one of the only taquerias I've found that does chilaquiles... and chilaquiles burritos! The inside is quite small, with two tables and two drink fridges in the forefront. The register is actually located further in if you follow the left wall. We ordered: Meat lovers burrito - we opted for birria, al pastor, and chicken as our three proteins. The SO loved that it only took half a burrito to fill him up (usually he will demolish it in one go), so the proportion to the value is reasonable. Chilaquiles burrito - I got this with al pastor and it was so good! There is also an egg prepared in your choice that is thrown in there. I loved that all burritos came with a grilled cheese exterior, adding extra crunch.Chile relleno a la carte - we got this with the salsa verde on the side, and I think that is the move here. They provide you with a pretty big bowl of the salsa and I was able to use this on my burrito as well. Service was really great. Waters were filled and patient when we didn't know to order. I found that we were accidentally charged for the chile relleno meal vs a la carte, and the cashier was able to refund me a few bucks in cash (even though there is a clear sign for patrons to check their order before paying - whoops!). I have been craving returning to Salt and Pepper to try their birria pizza. Will definitely make this a staple after-Costco meal for the future!

Getting gas at Costco and noticed this restaurant!!! OMG fantastic. Ordered super burrito! Huge! Full of flavor! Bean burrito was great lots of cheese! Finally the tacos. Unbelievable how good they were. Not greasy taco shells! My only regret is I live two hours away. But salt and pepper will be on my list when I drive down 99!!! Easy access from freeway. Sorry no pics it was too good Hahah.

Probably some of the best two tacos I have had, they are not your $2 tacos but the size is absolutely worth the money. I would say go with 2 if you do three that would be a pretty large meal. Never had a keto taco all cheese no tortilla, and the quesabirria El pastor off. The chain, nothing but fire here. Place is a sleeper and truly awesome. If you are by chance in the area you must hit this spot.

Second time here. Won't be coming back. I ordered care asada nacho's.Total fail.They actually owe me a star!

My favorite carne asada keto tacos on the planet. Wonderful friendly service, some clean space to eat inside it out, and a great price for healthy eats!!! I enjoy their music playlist, too.

Ordered online and picked up. Food is very good. Ordered the burrito bowl with the chili Rellano as the meat, a keto bowl with Carnitas, and a keto taco.I would not recommend eating in house. The reason is it's a very small place and people waiting for pick up are just standing over the tables.My complaints would be and why they didn't get five stars, it's because I ordered two bowls and they did not provide forks. Also, I asked if there was a side of salsa for our food, and the guy looked confused. I really hate ordering $36 of Mexican food and having to beg for one small side.That being said, I still really like the food. Next time I'll make sure to ask for utensils and the salsa.

I didn't choose a star rating yet I'm here waiting for my food I'll do the review as I get my food. So far it's very small so it's best to not done in. They get points for there jalepenos I like them fresh and sliced like that. This menus is heavy on birra everything is birra. I ordered a Burito asada and added shrimp the wife got a carnitas Burito.my mom got potato flautas. Ok guy I'm digging in!! Ok so Burito is good but lacking a little bit of flavor too much rich for me but all in all the Burito is good I give the Burito a 3.5, the tortas are so big and the wife says they are very good.

Such delicious food and great service too. Ever time I've gone here, I've been very pleased. I'm definitely a repeat customer!

Not valued as a customer especially when you pay High prices for low quality food. Manager only speaks Spanish so receptionist was reluctant to refer. I do not speak Spanish. Receptionist did not offer to translate. They remedy to poor food that i ended throwing in trash was sorry you cant turn around we will let the cooks know to remember all ingredients moving forward. They burnt the asada fries. Small amount of old dry burnt fries and missed key signature ingredients. I will no longer bring family and friends here either​
