Sal's Tacos and Catering

I've been coming to sals for 25 years. Sal started making tortillas in Michoacán when he was a boy. He later moved to Ensenada and continued cooking. He came to Mariposa and started "papa taco" (where Burger King is now). He then started the first taco truck at the rest stop in Mariposa. Sal is a good man and truly lives the American dream. The food is pretty darn good too. I usually get carne asada on everything. Stop by and give it a try.

There are a pair of "taco trucks" in Mariposa, and to be brutally honest, we like the other one a little better. Having said that, Sal's makes pretty stir food. The menu is large, and they're pretty quick about turning out the food. Finding the Sal's truck can be a little bit of a chore (especially since the other truck is always in the same place and has regular hours). If you see the truck, it's worth a try.

Been going to this taoc truck since I was in high school. I always get their bean and cheese burrito... literally brings me back to childhood.

Good food, organized, and easy to work with. Definitely recommend. I especially enjoyed their tacos!

Such a fantastic taco truck! I had a chicken torta and all the ingredients tasted fresh! It is located near a rest stop with a restroom! This truck is perfect for people on the go :)

I had the barbacoa tacos and they were delicious! Reminds me of the ones I would get in the bay area. The next was tender, flavorful and juicy

It's not very good, Mexican food has no spices at all, I really like Mexican food for old white folks that can't handle authentic real spicy food. The beans would be good for a small child who can't have have it to spicy.

This taco truck is so good that when the boyfriend and I lived in Yosemite, we knew lots of people that would make the trip down just for this place. Fairly certain they'd also bring the truck up for employee appreciation events because we all loved it that much! We have stopped a few times when in town and have yet to be anything but thrilled with the heaven that they dish up! It's a typical taco truck with fair prices and lots of choices! The food always tastes fresh and comes out fairly quickly! (Not gonna lie, my mouth is watering while writing this review). We now live a bit out of the way, but a special trip for this truck might just be in order! Definitely a must stop in the area!

Sal did a private event for us. The food was fresh and delicious. Many guests commented on how much they enjoyed it. They were courteous & helpful to our guests. I would highly recommend them.

Great food. Great people. Great service. Go to 23 years in service and very clean. They also have veggie options and the beans and rice ARE vegetarian
