Sakura Chaya Fresno

Sakura Chaya is one of our favorite spots for high-quality Japanese food. We frequent this restaurant often, and it never fails to impress with its fresh, flavorful dishes and friendly service.If you're planning to enjoy the teppan-yaki experience, be prepared for a long wait because it is very popular here! However, we've found that for regular dining, we can usually walk in and get seated right away, which is a big plus for our family.We also order takeout from here regularly because it's much quicker than dining in. Just a small heads-up: while the takeout process is efficient, it's always a good idea to double-check your order before leaving. On a few occasions, we've had an item missing, but the staff has always been friendly and accommodating during the resolution process.Overall, Sakura Chaya remains a go-to for both dining in and takeout, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Japanese cuisine in Fresno!

I was here to celebrate a friend of mine's birthday. We had reservations and we were able to sit in the back of the restaurant in our own private room. The Ambiance of the space was nice and fairly quiet as we had a late afternoon reservation. I felt the service started a bit slow even though we had a party of 25. After we were seated they didn't come to take our order for about 40 minutes and then food started to slowly come out. I was able to order my meal and an appetizer. The appetizers came out very slowly. In fact, one of my friends didn't even get her appetizer and the server wanted to ask after she'd given her the check if she still wanted it. Overall the food was pretty good and the show was nice. Based on their service not sure I would come back to this location.

Just wanted to come update that this is still my favorite sushi place. Best way to end my work week with Thursday or Friday sushi night! #SoFresh #SushiBar

Went on a Sunday for lunch with my friend and it was quite busy inside. The interior was nicely decorated and we were quickly seated at our table. We started with the Love Potion sushi and I got the Pork Katsu lunch. The sushi was packed with flavor and everything tasted fresh. I was impressed with the portion of the lunch special as it came with soup and salad plus a side of chicken teriyaki, tempura, and California roll. I would return if I visited Fresno again!

The lunch specials are very good, well worth the money and very tasty as well. The service was good. The only negative for me is the smell of the restaurant, and that is probably because of the tepal tables. It hits you when you walk in, but you get used to it.

Went there the week of Valentine's it wasn't packed very chill, we went for dine in it was so good very fast very fresh. Waitress was so nice. We LOVE coming here. We will come back:)

This is the best teppanyaki restaurant in the area. Always great service and food. It's never to loud and it's always a fun time. The yum yum sauce or whatever it's called is the best in town!

Very pleasant dining experience with good seating, attentive service, and tasty dishes. Yellowtail is very good and served several ways. The tempura is OK, but too heavy on the crust. Wide variety of tasty rolls. Also, the seafood dynomite is excellent.The freshness of the seafood is not as good as, say, a good sushi place next to the ocean. But hey, we don't live on the coast. The freshness is better or equal to any other place in Fresno/Clovis.

My family and I went during lunch time and our rice was burnt!! When we mentioned it to the server she stated that she was going to let the manager (Paula) know. Paula came out and told us that it's not that burnt and her chefs stated that it was fine. The waiter (Naomi) was nice but paula was so unprofessional. I will not be eating here again.

The server is swamped but never came out only for bags but everybody else got us things like boxes and boxes but not her she didn't asked us things were going but only is everything okay . The atmosphere was nice but slow I think she only took care of two tables She must be a new waitress she didn't say her name or anything to explain herself saying nothing just what would you like to order? And she did not say I will be your server my name is so and so then explain to us that what you weMaybe try Wasabi in Fig Garden shopping center those chefs are nice one of them wanted to try to go on a date with me but I didn't want to go out with him and I wasn't fond either finishing trade school for a license He was in his 50 's his actual age is 58 something like that but nah I think so they keep asking me questions the bar But the OMG is great I love that roll One was younger the other was older but they are pretty quick with their orders and it is always fresh
