My best friend and I originally planned to go to another cafe but it was insanely packed, so we drove by this place. It looks small in the corner of Herndon and Willow but inside was very spacious and cozy. They have open pastries similar to a lot of Asian bakeries outside of Fresno, and they didn't have much but that's probably because we went around 1. My friend and I ordered a matcha latte, caramel latte, and a few pastries. The drinks were okay but the pastries were insanely delicious! They even gave us a free slice of rainbow cake which was very kind of them!! Would definitely return back here!

Loved the service we received when we ordered. The guy offered suggestions and even combos that would save me money while letting me try a few things on the menu I had my eye on. My husband and I went in separately because we had one of our doggos with us. They said we could sit on the patio which was perfect! The weather was so nice and we were hoping for a dog friendly patio. I originally was going to grab a pastry but opted for an empanada. I wanted something savory so I picked the chicken mole. It was a bit dry for me, although the green salsa they give helps to cut that dryness. My husband had the blueberry cream cheese croissant and enjoyed it, although it was very dense. If you've had the strawberry croissant at Yava Bakery, it's the same density. We both opted for the turtle latte. It has chocolate and caramel. I wouldn't get it again not because it was bad, but because the caramel was a bit too much for me. My husband really enjoyed it and would get it again. It is on the sweeter side so cut it back if you need to. We love to find a dog friendly place in our area. It gives us more options, especially as the weather starts to warm up a bit. We would definitely be back to try some other items.

I recently visited this new restaurant in the southwest corner of the plaza, which offers ample parking. I tried their lemon crumble and latte. The lemon crumble was refreshing, and the latte offered numerous lactose-free options, which was considerate. The restaurant has a spacious interior with both indoor and outdoor dining, making it a nice spot to hang out. The service was friendly and attentive.Overall, I recommend this place for its delectable food and inviting ambiance.

A little history here; Rustika Cafe and Bakery was founded by pastry chef Francis Reznick in 1994. Today, it's renowned as one of Houston's best cake shops and bakeries, a family-owned shop, which now has multiple locations and is shipping nationwide. The founder, Francis Reznick, is from Mexico from Jewish European descent. She still makes everything the old fashioned way from scratch "like grandma bakes". All the recipes from the icings and fillings, to the breads and pastries, are made each day from her recipes passed down from generations. At Rustika, their vision is simple: create fresh food along with decadent and beautiful desserts while never compromising on flavor or quality ingredients. Serving up favorite Jewish-Mexican fusion dishes like Chilaquiles, Migas, and Matzoh Ball soup along with the traditional Omelettes, Sandwiches, and Salads, which are available all day.The moment I walked in here, I LOVED it! They have created a soothing, peaceful, airy, CLEAN & CLASSY environment (sigh). One of the RARE dining establishments that play gentle instrumental music in the background. Just being in 'their' environment was restorative to me. . . there is a station where you pick up REAL golden silverware (NOT plastic), condiments, and water. It's decorated with chandeliers, potted olive trees, and flowers. . . just beautifully done. Even their bathroom is 'cute' and it's the FIRST time I ever saw a square toilet! LOL!The staff was so friendly, attentive and respectful. We ordered the 'Turtle' (SO-shmoooooth), both flavors of Chicken Empanadas with Caesar salad (good flavor) AND Tomato/Basil and Matzo Ball soups (tasted homemade).BEWARE; currently, IF you step outside to eat on the patio, there is NO HANDLE on the outside door, to return INTO the restaurant once you step out. . . You have to bang on the window like a fool for someone to let you back in (like I did, tee-hee). OR, you could simply walk out the patio gate and return through the main entrance door. But who wants to do THAT I ask? Just bang on the window. This would be the PERFECT place to grab your girlfriends, and go there for a 'Hen-fest'! ;) Highly recommend!

The family decided on trying out this establishment for the first time due to hearing about it through word of mouth. We arrived a little after 12PM on a Sunday. The nice inside was fairly spacious. It was busy - no tables were available. I didn't realize until later that there was outdoors seating. But due to it being extra chilly during this time of the year, all seats outside were empty.Decor was nicely laid out.Fortunately, upon ordering, a table became available and we had to swoop in like a hawk for it.The food was a mixed bag for various reasons. The chilaquiles was good but way too pricey after adding chicken to the order - there didn't appear to be a lot of chicken to justify the price. Crepes were unfortunately unavailable which we heard was very delicious. The Texan omlette was great! A very large serving with ample amount of ingredients.Service was great - the servers were very active and attentive. I want to note that we did come by again on Christmas to obtain a cake which was very delicious (and rich). I'd definitely come back again in the future to try out their crepes and consider trying their other omlettes when I'm in town.

Cute little place. Delicious pasties, good coffee and a quiet vibe. Service was also decent. Everyone was helpful and kind. I appreciated the coffee and pastries being brought out to me where I was sitting while I waited. The pasties are grab and go from a case, use the trays, tongs and to go containers. You can take them to the counter to be warmed up! They have a pretty large breakfast and lunch menu. Can't wait to try more. The scone was perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside and the chocolate croissant was so yummy. My cortadito was great too: just an enough cream and no sweetener! Perfect.

Excited to have the opportunity to try Rustika! I was only able to drop by to pick up an empanada and a mocha this time, but I'll be sure to come back to study here next time! There is great service and casual vibes here. They also have a wide selection of cakes and drinks, so I look forward to trying these out in the future as well.
