Royal R's Barber Shop

Horrible place to get a haircut. I don't know if it's just the one guy or everybody else but if I was the owner I wouldn't hire a person who doesn't know how to cut correctly.

Royal R's always has a welcoming vibe they always greet you with a smile. Along with music playing in the background it's never boring. Today was my second time coming here and i can honestly say that i am a very happy customer. Laz is so awesome with his one of a kind happy personality and I can't leave out his singing. The two times that I've gotten my haircut here it's been by Jackie since she can cut women's hair. She is so nice I enjoy chatting with her and I like the fact that she takes her time cutting hair & by making sure it's perfect. It so shows that she really cares about her clients hair styles.

I kept struggling to find a spot to get a good haircut for my son and I at a decent price. Walking into this place everyone greeted us right when we walked in. My son didn't want to get a haircut that day. I tried hard to convince him he wouldn't budge, but the guy on the last chair closes to the back convinced him with a fidget spinner!! Son loved his haircut so did I, definitely coming back to this spot... highly recommend...

Super great time invested by the barber for my friend and it was super affordable also, 10 dollars for a styled men's cut you can't beat that, I will definitely return here.

Be prepared to wait as they rarely ever have more than one barber. Their best barber Lazaurus is no longer there which is a huge loss to that business. You can book an appointment with the owner online but its a $5 charge on top of the price for the hair cut. No refunds for anyone more than five minutes late to the appointment. I like barbers who take their time on a cut so if you dont mind a two to three hour wait than you should be good to go.

Ant, third chair in, is the best. He cut my son's hair today and it's perfect. He really took his time and didn't take any short cuts because it was a 6 year old in his chair. Then he gave him a tutorial on how to comb his hair. To top it all off, he gave him his comb! Ant is amazing.

I was looking desperately for a barber who could fit me in on a Sunday before an important dinner with some family, and I was aware that most places on Sundays, if they are open, would be packed or have appointments. Luckily royal R had less than an hour wait, and fit me in quickly. Same with every haircut, I approached the barber with a photo of the style I was looking for (a blended 40's slicked back/parted). While my hair doesn't look particularly bad in any way, he gave me a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT styled haircut than what I showed him. What he gave me was nearly a buzz cut on the sides (I can see my skin and asked specifically to leave it a combable length) and the hair on top was barely trimmed to make it fit the rest. All in all my hair looks fine but not at all how I wanted it. I guess I could say this is the best "mess-up" situation possible. Barber has to ask about the length and such a lot more before he starts so this doesn't happen to someone else.
