Hidden spot on Shaw and West area. It had been on my book marks for a long time. I love beef bulgogi and was craving it so I opted for that with the veggie fried rice. The combo comes with salad which is just iceberg lettuce but the dressing is pretty good. Rice is ok. Pot stickers are good I tend to get that as an appetizer when I come. Beef bulgogi is a nice sized portion and good. I've had better beef bulgogi though. They get super busy but they're efficient and quick. No fountain drinks here just can sodas. Overall it's just good not amazing but it hits the spot if you're craving Korean style food.

I came to Fresno to visit my aunt who has critical problems at a nearby hospice care. I went to visit cousins and one of them suggested to try out this place because he loves Korean food and Korean culture. Of course we believed him because he's obsessed with it. The place is very small, but a nice jewel in the rough per se. I ordered a potsticker 6 piece and the chicken teriyaki bowl without any SAUCE on it! It contained vegetables like broccoli and carrots, steamed rice and the chicken. Overall, very healthy considering the other stuff on the menu. Service came from a very polite Asian woman. She dropped our potstickers accidentally on the table but was kind enough to replace them. My chicken bowl without the sauce was about 12$ and the 6 potstickers were 7$. My friends and family ordered the pork bulgogi fried rice combination plate for $17, a beef kalbi with fried rice for $17 and a jajayngmyeon dish for about 15$. Overall, not as highly priced as I thought given the amount of food. But astonishingly the food was good quality. I have had Korean bbq from tofu house where I live and paiks noodle. The difference however; you do not get the kimchi, cucumber radish and other glass noodles as appetizers. The teriyaki chicken bowl without the sauce was excellent. 5/5 very good tasting chicken bowl. Fresh, tasty and delicious. It was a little bland, but I like how after I consumed it, it tasted like I ate a good quality dinner. The potstickers were deep fried which I didn't like too much, but the new ones that came after the waitress dropped them were a little browner than the ones that fell on the table. The pork was good, but I don't like eating pork. It was okay. The beef kalbi was rubbery though. Gotta cook it more, but the place was going to close in 10 minutes and the cook had to rush it, so he did get it done enough. The fried rice was good, but it was not too greasy and seasoned very little. The best dish was mine. Prices were fair and the interior was clean and somewhat delightful to sit comfortably as the tables were separated far apart from other guests. I didn't try the jajangmyeon there but I tried it before. Not a fan, but it smelled very good. Recommended, experience was great, service fast and kind, quality of food to value was good $75 ish total, clean interior, parking was decent and location safe. What I loved the most was the great kind service and how quickly the food arrived (18 minutes or so for all) and given this timeframe, food was excellent except the beef kalbi that was rubbery. Restrooms clean and convenient and ambiance was cozy given that there were other guests. Aroma was amazing.

I wish I discovered rock and noodles sooner! As a Korean, the Korean food options in Fresno are incredibly limited. Coming to work in Fresno meant giving up some Asian food options... until now! The jjajangmyun was delicious. I really enjoyed it as well as the Mandu. The service was good too. One younger gal and a lady were working and they were personable and had great conversation. The restaurant is definitely old school inside. They have a TV playing some Korean shows and I think it is such an authentic experience.

I was really craving jajangmyun (black bean noodles) and this really hit the spot. The wait was a little long considering how empty the restaurant was but it was well worth it (there was a large takeout order before me). Jajangmyun: 5/5 HUGE portion with plenty of sauce and it tasted great too. I finished about half of my noodles and had so much sauce leftover that I was able to take it home and make another meal out of it with rice!

We found this hole in a wall when the restaurant next door was closed. Highly recommend! The server was very friendly and helpful. We were all relatively new to Korean food, and she walked us through the menu along with help from Yelp. I ordered kimchi and the barbecued beef. It did not disappoint. My table mates ordered rice bowls, and noodles, and also love them. If you're interested in authentic Korean food and would like some guidance with the menu, I highly recommend this delightful hole in the wall.

As much as I want to gate keep this place, I am going to have to leave a review for this place. This spot has got to be one of my favorite small spots in Fresno. The place is nice and cosy and there's usually not a lot of people (at least when I go when I'm trying not to show my friends where it is). The wait may take a while, but is it worth I-Yes. Yes it is.I can come in after fasting for a bloodwork and wait an hour just to shoot my blood glucose levels to levels of hyperglycemia. There's probably a million different ways in explaining how this food tastes, but I can only settle with: This food snacks

This Korean mom n pop shop is authentic to the tea. I always order their jajangmyeon and I would say each time that I go, the flavor isn't consistent but nonetheless it's still really good. It's rich and savory. It has a nice bit of texture from the zucchini, carrot, onion, and your choice of meat(pork or beef.) not as much meat as I expect, but the portion of noodles is still generous. I've also decided to try a rice plate. I usually get the pork bulgogi combo plate. It comes with fried rice and your choose of meat(beef, pork, kalbi.) and I did not regret it!!! I got the medium spice and it wasn't that bad. I'll most likely get spicy(I can't take spicy foods at all)The building itself is a bit confusing. But once you park, and look straight at the restaurant, the door is on the right side. Notable mention: their egg soup tastes like Korean steamed eggs. I believe they make one individually because I had ordered two of them at once and they both tasted different. One was more salty than the other. But I'm not complaining!During lunch this place gets super BUSY! just beware of coming in during lunch hours! (12-2)

This place ROCKS.Nothing too fancy, absolutely no frills - the interior is super simple with a few tables. Came in on a Sunday, Super Bowl Sunday nonetheless, so it was definitely NOT busy LOL but I can imagine the place filling up on regular weekends.Service was good! The ladies continuously checked on us and made sure we were doing okay - so sweet.Their portion sizes are incredible for the price. Got their hot wings and their veggie fried rice, and it really hit the spot. I believe most of the entrees they serve come with a side salad. Simple salad mix with a sweet dressing (I can't pinpoint the exact flavor of it but it was good). The food did take a bit of time, but the waitress had indicated beforehand that the food, especially the hot wings, would take a bit longer to prepare, so I was primed for it. It was no problem anyway because the salad held me over until the food was ready. The fried rice took around 15ish minutes and the hot wings took around 20 minutes. If you're with good company, the time goes by super fast! The food:〰 Hot Wings (9/10): You get a good portion of wings (10 wings) and they are HUGE! They came out piping hot so they were definitely fresh. The sauce was spicy and sweet, similar to a sweet and sour sauce. They were perfectly crispy.〰 Veggie Fried Rice (10/10): SO GOOD FOR THE PRICE! It was so flavorful and I could easily shove heaps into my mouth at a time. It was the PERFECT complement to the wings, and I would absolutely get their fried rice again.I would definitely come here again. Super comforting meals for pretty good prices!!! I would love to try their combination plates the next time I go or one of their Korean noodle dishes. Overall, a slay!

Rock and Noodles should be your go-to restaurant in Fresno. My Fiancé and I have been coming here for years and LOOOVVEEE it. Our usual order is the fire chicken plate. It is the perfect balance of spice and flavor, enough to make your nose a bit runny but not overly spicy to the point where you can't enjoy the flavor. The chicken is perfectly breaded; not too much not too little. It is nice and crispy. I think the best way to explain this dish is a spicy orange chicken. The veggie fried rice is also really good and pairs perfectly with the gochugang flavor & spice from the chicken. Each plate also comes with a side salad as a starter which is much appreciated. The service has always been superb. Even when this place gets busy, the workers are quick to get to you. They are friendly and helpful. The inside is rather small but don't be deceived because this pace PACKS the flavor. Also it can get busy sometimes so if you need to, you can always order food to-go. If I were to ever move from the state, this is definitely a place I would miss. It should be a new staple in your personal Fresno food tour. Can't say good enough things about Rock and Noodle (or as my fiancé and I call it "Rockin")
