Houston we have a problem!!!! Somebody decided to NOT serve the big fluffy biscuits with breakfast!! Save a buck lose a customer??? Is that what you want? The omelette was great with lots of meat and the country potato's were awesome!! The service was fantastic!! I do not think I'll return if you don't bring back the biscuits, the replacement tasted like it had been microwaved and was chewy. The gravy wasn't very good either it was lumpy... again, great service!! But you come for the food!!!

Me and my mom have been going to RJ's since it was on Main and it was better this weekend than I have ever had! The biscuits and gravy are real if you know what I mean. This review is based solely on food not service. The cooks are next level.

My ham, tomato, avocado and cheese omelette with hash browns. The hash browns were on point to my liking as I can never find a place that ever truly cooks as I request. The omelette was quite hearty with large chunks of delicious ham. This was obviously a to go order, but the service was just the same quantity had we dined in. I give a 5 star recommendation, and will certainly be returning.

First, the service was phenomenal. Our server was a lovely woman. Second. The food was really good. Definitely try the biscuits and gravy. Biscuit was fresh and fluffy.

When local, this is a place we enjoy visiting! We did fly in from another state and drove 1hr just to eat here! Hubby and I shared the western omelette with the country potatoes, sourdough bread (perfectly buttered) with a side of avocado (avocado foe the bread)! Yum!! Food was perfect and delicious! Thank you RJ's for great food and friendly staff!

Absolutely horrid! We should have turned around after seeing a practically empty place at 12:20 pm on a weekday.Ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and a salad. Mashed potatoes were powdered and had some strange crunchy bits in it. The brown gravy was way over salted and more like the consistency of jelly. Salad was out of a bag; wilted iceberg, carrots and the purple stuff. Roast beef was tasteless. The "sandwich" part was two halves of overly greasy thick white bread on the side of the plate.Ate a few bites before I stopped out of fear of getting sick.

The food was delicious. I didn't leave anything on my plate. I ordered the DENVER and it fulfilled my appetite. My friends ordered the chicken salad and a breakfast plate. We thought the food and service was great. The food is freshly cooked. I can't believe I didn't come here sooner.

I'll try anything once, but I won't waste my money twice. Just another mediocre at best Porterville diner. For the amount I paid for one meal, I could have bought all the ingredients and cooked 5 better breakfasts myself. Why own a restaurant if you're not going put any effort into what you're cooking. Over salted potatoes, tasteless omelette, rotten avocado. One of the servers was taking up what seemed to be the best table in the joint to take a load off on her phone. Could have sat 6 people. Won't go again, or recommend it.

Update: Biscuits are back. 10/10 breakfast. They even had pomegranate jelly! So good. Worth every calorie and dollar.

Just had a warm fresh biscuit that was one of the best I've had in 20+ years and that was a side dish! Great omelette and near perfect country potatoes finished the breakfast. One of the best breakfast places in Porterville.
