Richie's Pizza & Hot Dogs

My favorite pizza in Fresno, and they have awesome dogs to boot! Came here after I saw my friend eating a slice, and I've been coming back ever since. The staff are always friendly and kind. One time I forgot my wallet, and the server gave me my order anyway, no questions asked. He said to pass it along. I couldn't believe that. Nothing like kindness and generosity to make a slice of pizza taste even better. I love the dogs too, and they're happy to customize them as you please.I love Richie's, and I hope to be back soon.

A staple in the Tower District for four decades, Richie's Pizza & Hot Dogs is the go-to spot for locals craving New York-style thin crust. Pizzas can be ordered by the slice or as a whole. A slice is more like two huge slices. A slice of pepperoni remains $6.45, so you get your money's worth. A whole pepperoni pizza is $25.75. I tried a slice of the combo, $7.75 - pepperoni, sausage, onions, mushrooms, bell peppers, and olives - had most of the components of a good New York thin crust: an easily foldable crust that had a good balance of chewiness and crispiness, fresh toppings, well-seasoned meats, and generously layered with mozzarella cheese. The tomato sauce lacked the distinct zest and freshness I am particularly fond of (from some of my favorite New York-style pizza parlors in New York, San Francisco, and throughout Southern California where I moved from).The other classic, affordable, on-the-go dish is, of course, their hot dogs. They make them with all-beef franks and serve them up New York-style, Chicago-style, their specialty the Richie Chili Dog, and the Fresno Dog. There is even a Pizza Dog, prepared with spicy beef sausage, homemade pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and onions. It is not a true hot dog stand if they do not have fresh sauerkraut and both yellow and spicy mustard, along with relish and diced onions. Richie's has it all.Richie's is a popular choice for a quick, inexpensive, grab-and-go meal or if you are in the Tower District and want to sit down and enjoy a pizza slice or hot dog with an ice-cold beer or soda. It stays open late on weekends.

Waited a while to try Richies, and I'm really glad I stopped in for some pizza. The staff are super great people who are salt of the earth nice that really know their pizza. I tried a couple of different slices of pizza and ordered a couple of whole pizzas to go, and everything was really good. The only real difference is that the whe pizza is fresher and more on the crispy thin side, which I really enjoyed. The spicy slice was my favorite slice of pizza out of the ones I tried. When it comes to the whole pizzas, both the cheese and the peperoni were really good. Overall, this is a great spot to get thin crust east coast style pizza, and I will be ordering pizzas from here in the future.

After a concert, for an event, or a casual eating, Richie's pizza has always been a life saver and a go-to for delicious pizza. The slices are thin but cheesy and larger than the plate they're served on. They're open late, so when everything around is closed, they're the one place still open and selling hot tasty food. The prices are also pretty good for the size of the pizza you're getting and the quality. Great prices and even better pizza.

WE LOVE RICHIE!!!!! Richie is an awesome business owner, always very nice and accommodating. Their prices for how giant the slices are, are very reasonable. I highly recommend this place if you're in the area. It doesn't ever take more than 3 minutes to get food. Today it probably took less than a minute. We come here very often and will continue to get pizza from Richie's. The sauce is always so so good. They load the pizzas up with toppings. We have yet to try a hotdog but there's always next time. Richie's offers outdoor seating only, as well as you can get all the toppings (chili flakes, parmesan, etc) at their table in front of the store. They have coke products and usually make homemade lemonade. Stop by and get a giant slice, you won't regret it.

The best post night out in Tower waiting for the Uber to come about to pass out when I get home and don't want to be hungover- snack!Huge slice of pizza for only like 6 bucks. They have dogs too!Line gets long but it moves quickly. It's always fun people watching anyway.They have a little patio with barstools and a couple tables set up.Will always highly recommend this as a weekend night cap!

THEY HAVE BEEF PEPPERONIdelicious New York style pizza. The employees were very kind. It was very easy to place the order on the phone and the pizza was fresh out of the oven right when we got there. I like my pizza well done; so if you like it to have no flop and a beautifully crispy undercarriage then that's the only way to go. I enjoyed eating outside infront of the place, it was giving NYC vibes.

My boyfriend and I were originally on the hunt for a good chili dog when we stumbled upon Ritchie's. While there, we decided to also share a slice of their famous pizza, and we were not disappointed! The chili dog was delicious, but the real surprise was the pizza. We loved it so much that we went back two days later to get a large one to take home. The pizza at Ritchie's is definitely different from what we're used to here. Many would compare it to New York-style pizza, and it truly is delicious!! If you're in the area, Ritchie's is definitely a must-try!

Experienced cheddar cheese on my pizza for the first time ever!This place is very hit-and-miss and with their rising prices, it's often just better to go elsewhere.
